  1. How John Hughes has made it this far is mind boggling. I understand that he has the motavational skills but he's not Terry Butcher. Don't get me wrong, John Hughes is a good manager but we would be appointing him at the wrong time of his career.
  2. Peter Lawwell runs the show, so I'm not surprised in the slightest.
  3. After reading the Inverness Courier article I'm still hopeful with getting Paul Hartley. I just hope the John Hughes stories are a smoke screen to the press!
  4. Just read this on John Hughes http://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/sport/football/hartlepool-utd/welcome-to-hartlepool-three-words-sacked-pools-boss-john-hughes-will-never-forget-1-5660174
  5. John Hughes got sacked by Hartlepool last year for getting them relegated compared to Paul Hartley who has won 2 promotions with Alloa. I have seen a suggestion that he is out the running due to personal reasons but also Inverness Courier has Paul Hartley as favourite in their back pages tomorrow so who knows!
  6. Ewan Murray of Guardian saying that strong rumours it's John Hughes. So, Paul Hartley it is then!
  7. No wind up . You can say sorry on Wednesday When is today's announcement?
  8. Him or Hartson would be fine but not Chris Sutton!
  9. I can't see him not being interested in the job and I don't think the fact of us being up north would really matter to him. The guy that posted this said there would be an announcement today and I'm still waiting.....
  10. I hear Paul Hartley has pulled out due to contractural issues -interesting now who it will be :-) Not buying this. #TeamHartley
  11. Of course he's just guessing. We all are. Of course but in his previous post, he stated 5 managers that had been interviewed as facts and I am only assuming he was doing the same in that post.
  12. This!
  13. That's good and bad news.
  14. With your pro Hartley stance, we can assume he is on the shortlist?
  15. Fixed for you ;)
  16. With Paul Hartley being 37 and Richie Foran 33, I wonder if there would be any confliction but I trust Richie would be professional throughout should Hartley get the job. Likewise with Hartley with the job but that's one thing about young managers you wonder about.
  17. Paul Hartley fits our bill the most. We tend to go and get young managers (except Butcher) who end up doing very well. Sure it will be annoying if we get Hartley then he moves on to another club but least we would make a profit in doing so! Team Hartley!
  18. What a set up that would be!! Unfortunately I would think that the salaries combined would be out with our budget That's what I thought but I'm sure we could survive without Levein and it would still be a great management team.
  19. If it was down to Paul Hartley and Craig Levein then what about this; DOF: Craig Levein Manager: Paul Hartley Assistant: Paddy Connolly or Colin Cameron or Jimmy Nicholl (Hartley's choice) GK Coach: Craig Gordon Coach: John Robertson (If he was interested in coaching role)
  20. My prediction of the three named shortlist: Paul Hartley, Craig Levein and Henrik Larsson Then over the weekend it's meant to go to two which then... Paul Hartley vs Craig Levein
  21. Jimmy Calderwood?
  22. If that's true then he will probably get the job. He is whats delaying the decision, so i've been told but we shall see. Wouldn't be disappointed if he got the job to be honest as long as he has his Dundee United form. Celtic legend that is/got interviewed will probably be Larsson hence why the Highland News that added him out of nowhere.
  23. If that's true then he will probably get the job.
  24. I can't find any odds online, checked both Paddy Power and McBookie. Care to elaborate for the rest of us?
