Reguero for me. I felt that he needed the rest at the weekend and it will hopefully pay off.

Agree that's he's a good player but if we signed him, he would last about 5 minutes in a game vs County.
  3. I don't think that the semi final has anything to do with it. From fan's reports of games on Twitter we don't seem to be playing too badly. Yes, it's two disappointing results but 3 away games in the space of a week is a tough ask.

Whats he going to do with them? Play football

What time do gates open at these games?

Found the premier league handbook of that season. http://www.premierleague.com/content/dam/premierleague/site-content/News/publications/handbooks/premier-league-handbook-2010-11.pdf

Seems pretty clear to me after reading that link but what I don't understand is that Wilson played a reserve game before the Arsenal game. Does a reserve game count as a domestic game? This whole investigation has never really been about putting Hearts out of the cup or getting a replay - all we want is a perfect explanation to clear it up. I still think a statement with necessary documents from the FA would really put it to bed. I know fans have been writing and phoning the FA for said documents but they refer you back to the SFA - so obviously it's going to go round in circles.

The second link you provided is listing suspensions that occurred between 2 dates. Wilson's sending off was before that date, hence why it's not listed.

That link is very good. According to that Danny Wilson played an under 21 game before the Arsenal game and was on the bench for the European qualifier and he wasn't introduced to premier league football till November. Something isn't right.

Watch Zaliukas and Robinson go on loan to a club in England and then they can play in final - Farce.

Bear in mind though that the SFA don't have access to the disciplinary records of other countries. They would have to ask the FA and wait for a response, assuming the FA are obliged to respond to such a request at all. Then i hope the FA can put this to bed for everyone. They are unwilling to do so as they keep saying ask the SFA

According to BBC he wasn't on the bench. I checked Liverpool's fixtures before the arsenal game and they had European games. Danny Wilson was on the bench on the home tie. Does European games not count as their rule about serving it in any competition. There was never anything to say he was suspended for the game though. Your right about the Euro games though. If thats the case then he had already participated in official games. Defiantly. All ICT need to do see the relevant documents to say yes he served it. Nothing of the such has been given. End of the day, this isn't a personal vendetta on Hearts cause we lost the game. It's just ICT trying to defend itself from being cheated. The way Hearts are run in general is a joke. They fail to pay players yet they are allowed to dish out fresh contracts to new signings (even if their loans). Its ridiculous. We have every right to fight this. The SFA can say all they want but unless they can provide any kind of written evidence to suggest he was actually suspended for a game as opposed to simply not being picked then this case is still wide open. The fact they dont have accurate details to suggest when and who it was served against makes me think they dont have what they need. It does make me wonder how this would pan out if Celtic went though. It's pretty clear to me, they don't want an ICT vs St Mirren final.

What doesn't sit right with me is that, why on earth after receiving a clear international certificate from the FA would even ask the question if he was eligible to play or not. Seems like SFA are trying to cover their own mistakes up.

As I said before, the only way we can get this sorted is if the FA or Liverpool confirm the ban was served.

It's really all guesswork on my part but their silence is quite interesting. I thought they would have taken the opportunity to put it to bed by now.

Going by what the SFL said Hearts done the assessments and were given all clear. Hearts aren't in the wrong unless the player himself knew his suspension was not served and both parties carried on anyways cause SFA said he could.

BBC picking this story up now. Inverness are seeking clarification over the eligibility of Hearts player Danny Wilson for last Saturday's League Cup semi-final. The Highland side failed to reach their first major cup final, losing to Hearts on penalties at Easter Road . The query relates to a suspension he picked up whilst with Rangers in 2010. "As a result of discussions that have taken place, the club will be seeking further details and an explanation," said an Inverness CT statement. The Scottish Football Association yesterday stated that Wilson was eligible to play, but it's unclear as to when the one-game ban was served. Wilson's ban, specifically for one Scottish League Cup game , is recorded in SFA documentation dated March 2010. The 21-year-old was sent off in the 2010 League Cup final, as a nine-man Rangers team defeated St Mirren . The defender moved to Liverpool before the suspension could be served, but the Inverness statement continued: "There was no notice of suspension accompanying his registration paperwork when he returned from Liverpool." Wilson's Liverpool debut came in an English League Cup tie at home against Northampton. Should there be no confirmation of when Wilson served his ban, it is possible that the Highland side could challenge the outcome of the match. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21239532

Why haven't Hearts or SFA/SFL made a statement over it? All we have had is STV speaking to a spokesman.

Interesting analogy on Jambos Kickback. "Guys, this is very simple. Could there have been **** up with regards to Wilson's suspension? Yes. Could it be Hearts or the SFA/SFL/SPL's fault? No. Wilson was sent off in the 2010 LC final for non-violent conduct. As a result, the suspension is delayed until the next Scottish League Cup match. Had the player remained in Scotland, he would have missed the first league cup game (of whoever he was playing for). However, DW transferred to Liverpool in July 2010. When a player transfers across borders he is issued an International Transfer Certificate which originates with Home FA (SFA) , sent via FIFA, to the new club's FA (the English FA). Detailed on that certificate is any suspensions that is carried with the player. The reason for the International Travel Certificates and the carrying of suspensions, is to stop players just transferring to other countries if they are suspended for long periods of time. For example, Joey Barton received an unprecedented 12 match suspension back in 2010. If the International Travel Certificates did not carry suspensions, he could simply have transferred to another country and continued playing as normal - not exactly fair is it? On the DW's certificate from Rangers to Liverpool, a suspension of 1 domestic match was detailed. DW received another FIFA International Transfer Certificate when he moved from Liverpool to Hearts. No suspensions were listed. Did DW serve his suspension at Liverpool? Possibly. He certainly missed a number of EPL games at the start of the season. Hobos on deepthroat.net have tracked down a guardian article where it lists no suspensions for the game against Arsenal. This is either factually incorrect (most likely scenario) or the FA have not imposed the suspension which carried over from his transfer from Rangers. If the (English) FA have not, then the (English) FA are at fault and should have detailed the suspension. However, given the fact that he did not feature in the Arsenal game (the game the suspension would have covered), it's a moot point. Regardless of the situation, under FIFA transfer rules and SFA/SPL/SFL rules he would not have been suspended for the LC semi regardless. This is backed up by 1) the aforementioned rules 2) the suspension list issued by the SFA last week 3) clarification by HoMFC to the SFA last week. There's only one possible organisation that could've messed up on this and that is the (English) FA. Regardless it has absolutely nothing to do with Hearts or the SFA/SPL/SFL and is backed up by legal documents. This is very simple."

Still there. It's on the Hearts page on STV website.

Did Danny Wilson know he could of been suspended? If he brought it to the attention of Hearts then obviously knew he hadn't served any ban.
