  1. That dates would make sense. Runrig were formed in 1973 and first album was released 1977. So he must have left teaching just before the move to Culduthel, when the band started to get big.

  2. Charles should be able to answer this one.

When did Donnie Munro teach at the IRA? I knew he taught Art at Plockton but was informed recently that he also taught at the IRA.

If that is the case, would he be considered the most famous person to teach at the School?

  3. Going to the likes of Bristol and Aldershot was great fun for the fans. I‘d love another tour somewhere. However it is very pricey for the club and with funds so limited, unfortunately it may not happen again this season. As IHE alluded to, the team bonding aspect of a trip is not as important this year as most of them already know each other.

I agree with King Beastie. It‘s impossible to tell if we would have had a better start if we had tougher pre season competition. However we drew our first three games and matched Midden, Killie and Hearts so weren‘t exactly under prepared.

  4. Rumours that the deal is in doubt due to disagreements about the contract length. (Source, a Manchester rag).

Rumours that Sevco 5088 Franchise have now made an approach. (Source, unreliable twitter chat).

  5. I don't care about the 'friendliness' of till operators.  As long as the products scan through and I carry them out in the bags, i'm not going to get all worked up and seething about whether or not someone who I don't know smiled at me.

  6.

Please let's not contaminate this thread by introducing the myth of ' ex Jaggies' or Caley rebels heading over the Kessock Firth in their hoards to swell the coffers at Ross County.

Anyway, there is no such thing as an ex Jaggie. Once a Jaggie always a Jaggie

All due respect Kingsmills, I know of atleast 10 people who were ex-Thistle fans who now follow C*unty, and there's plenty more who I don't know. One of them told me that "the idea of the merger wasn't a problem, it was the fact the new team would play in blue". So instead he went to County who play in NAVY BLUE! TIT!!

How do you know there's plenty more if you don't know them?

  7. Some folk are reading too much into Terrys comments.  As others have stated, it was a tongue in cheek comment,  I hear football managers all the time making sarcastic comments about the board.  Terry and all the guys at Caley Thistle were desperate to finish 3rd.  Ok, it didn't work out, but I doubt any person at Caley Thistle (Chairman / board included) are happy about losing the game.

It was a tongue in cheek comment and we shouldn't be worrying about it at all.  I am disappointed we lost the game, and disappointed we missed out on Europe on the last day.  However, I am delighted with the season in general and the 4th placed finish is still an incredible achievement.

  8. I thought we improved in the second half but overall County probably deserved the win. Doran put in a great shift as did Raven. Dissapointed but still happy with the season in general. We fell short at the last hurdle but thank you Terry, the rest of the management team and all the players for our best ever season! Roll on the next one!!!

I must say thank you to County for allowing the Highland Marchers on to the pitch. We were in the Jail End pre match. Surreal experience but great banter. Thanks to the County fans who made us welcome and the great reception we got from the ICT fans.

I cannot wait for the next Highland Derby. The greatest derby in Scotland!
