  1. Doesnt bother me i will be in Perth on the river Tay ( well in St Johnstones ground) watching the game
  2. thats a good amount sold , another 500 would be better. Were Caley only given 3000 or was it 2500??
  3. Taking wife and son, no bleeding chance of them buying me a pie never mind a drink  Then again they are Caley supporters so i dont mind, its their first cup final ever so i hope they come away ecstatic with a Caley victory
  4. It's a long way to go for a meaningless fixture. To some, John, it is far from meaningless. Some people have forgotten where we come from, some people will never truly understand but we have no right to think that we belong in the SPL. There are teams outwith the SPL who are bigger and, on paper, more deserving of a place there. We made it there through hard work, a never say die attitude and a fair splattering of luck. We should never have been allowed in to the SPL in the first place, the rules at the time forebode it but a campaign in the national press and through an internet petition bought our place, I do not believe that we would have had such a public backing if we had not beaten the worst Celtic team in living memory four years beforehand. As an ICT fan I am devastated at having to join my ship on Saturday, the chance of adding a nationally accredited trophy to our cabinet is a privilege which ICT fans should cherish. Yes, in the grand scheme of things the league is more important but I don't think we will win it. I hope we can, and if we do then, given our start to the season, the drop in squad quality and the financial constraints on the club, it will be the best effort that an ICT squad has put in over a season. How any supporter of ICT can express the attitude that you have here is beyond my understanding but each of us are different and you are free to support your club how you see fit. :D :D :clapping01: :clapping01: :clapping01: :clapping01:
  5. No.... I don't live in Perth. And? And we shouldn't even be in this competition.... We should be playing teams like the Dons, the Hibs, the Hearts, the OF, etc.... well we are in the competition . I dont think there is a lot of Caley fans who stay in Perth, so what is your real excuse for not going???
  6. In fairness Dundee is 20 minutes along the road whereas most ICT fans will be heading down the glorious A9 for about 2 and a half hours! Ye but it will be a good day out, leave at 9AM , a couple of fly drinks on the bus or train, go to a club or pub, watch the game, celebrate on the way back up ye a nice day out. I am bleeding driving so no swally for me
  7. Thats the one! serves me right, vodka and using a computers don't mix! :) i think you can cancell if you have not paid yet, Scottish law allows you to ,English law does not, double check it Sorry off topic but, Cairngorm, you obviously haven't delt with Travelodge before. You pay on booking and the cheap deals are non refundable or changing dates are a nogo also. I booked Livingston Travelodge (?9 a room) for game v Livingston in January when fixtures came out. We now play Airdrie on that day but they won't let me change or even cancel booking. I will just have to not drink that day instead. thanks for info 20 miles between livy and airdrie
  8. I wouldn't count on us selling all ours any more. dundee have sold 5000
  9. Even though the fans are taking this game seriously , it looks as if the club are not, if they are not doing some sort of souvenir to commerate the game, this will be the first cup final for a lot of the fans
  10. Thats the one! serves me right, vodka and using a computers don't mix! :P i think you can cancell if you have not paid yet, Scottish law allows you to ,English law does not, double check it
  11. You have plenty of time to cancel , thats a cracking deal you got tho
  12. Thats fair enough but is there one from Caley ??? i cant see any official ones and if they are going to be sold at the ground on Sunday they will be unofficial ( doesnt look rite)
  13. All points taken A96 , no iwasnt at the game today due to work commitments ihave probally been to more away games than home games, my wife and son go to more games than i do. This is first division football and they will have to fight like feck to get out of it,Caley are they team everyone wants to beat because they just came down. The home games i have been at their never is an atmosphere and we go to the bridge end, we try to get in the middle of it where some atmosphere is.Went to the main stand once and when you shout or stand up the sweetie rustlers are not happy. As for sitting in the cold do as we do wrap up well, a home game for us to go to is an 80 mile round trip not far as some folk will say , a lot of folk know Caley is not my home team BUT it is my wifes and sons and i take them when i can as i said i have been to more away games than home. CUP final next week it will be played diffrent and should be more attractive football because it is not the do or die situation of the league and they are not fighting for points. So i think Caley will be more relaxed, we have tickets but i dont know if i will be there, the Mrs and boy will be tho
  14. :party01: We won 2-0 against the team that is at foot of the table. "Let's not get carried away here" should be the lesson learnt last week. My mistake, eh? celtic couldnt beat a team bottom of the league, Caley can, so what do you want a 20-0 scoreline,as long as the points are secured thats whats wanted
  15. What do some of you want from Caley ? nice fancy football and losing every week or playing half decent football and picking up points?? I know what i want, the bleeding points, so stop whinging and get behind the team. Maybe one of the mods can put up a poll asking these questions. Lets get ready for next week , the first cup final of the season in the UK :party01: :dancing03:
  16. a recession , cup final next week ,xmas looming , people will be saving their money for the final it might just be at Perth but buses and trains have to be paid for and if it is a family of 4 going next week it gets expensive
  17. behave yourself man, its a victroy the worst team can be the toughest , celtic and falkirk last week , enjoy the result a cup final next week , 4th in the league and a long way to go is your glass half empty or half full??
  18. the way the results are at the moment this is a 5 pointer for Caley
  19. According to some on this site we could meet in a phone box, not my opinion meeting my 2 daughters who are Dundee fans their bus has booked a club for a meal and drink so i will join them, with young Cairn and Mrs Cairn if all goes well
  20. Who cares about this mickey mouse cup when we play crap in the league???? the players who are playing in the final care, and a lot of the fans care.Take it you wont be there????? :33:
  21. ok i meant pin badge , i always call what is on the top the club crest, or am i wrong in calling it the club crest??
  22. Dundee have produced their own badge for the cup final both teams are on the badge limited numbers are available, i phoned a member of DFC staff and they confirmed this, they also said that Fife dark blue badges are really good, though they are not official
  23. Should be a good turnout , first final of the season ,Caley in a final a lot of fans will want to go, straight drive down the A9. We have our tickets so if i am here 3 of us will be going if not i will give my ticket to a friend . My 2 duaghters and grandson are going BUT they are Dundee fans so i told them if Dundee win i will not speak to them again , they replied they were sorry that we would no longer be talking. i am looking forward to the game
