  1. i'll not be taking the underground, it sometimes goes off early, and there can be a lot of trouble in it.

I wouldn't take kids on it at that time but like anywhere in Glasgow when there are eejits about you just keep your head down.

  2. And you know this how? Have you been on in recently and obviously used your great knowledge to study the pitch and make up your own mind?

She has a point. There is not much wrong with our pitch, a mediocre score of 5 is unfair.

Why are we even wasting our time discussing the article? Like I said, it's p1sh!

  3. Eat before you go to the ground because the food is shocking. :rotflmao:

Agree with poster who said take the underground. You could park at Shields Road park and ride where your car will be safe in the multi-storey car park.

Some of the banter on the underground is quite good if you can put aside the sectarian bile and the smell.

Worrying when they try to do the bouncy on it though.

Enjoy the game, I'm not giving them my money.

  4. Garbage journalism from a garbage paper. They're obviously just filling up free space with more junk. I doubt the person who "researched" our pitch has even been at our stadium. They also fail to tell us how they arrived at these scores which means they've just picked it out of thin air. P1sh.

Typical, transparent, west of central belt bias. If you're going to buy a paper, buy the Herald or something similar. They at least try to be objective.

  5. I wish I had your confidence. :thumb04: Not only do we have to produce a sequence of results bettering anything we have done in recent years. But we have to hope that every other team close to us loses continually. That's not going to happen I fear. It's a bit like the situation Dunfermline found themselves in a couple of seasons ago. They ended up quite a bit behind at this stage of the season and even after a good sequence of wins they still went down. It takes it's toll on a side when they simply have to keep producing wins every week. We are not as far behind Falkirk as Dunfermline were behind the Midden but Falkirk ahve a much better squad than us, and indeed a much better squad than the Midden had back then.

I don't think our squad is even as good as what we had last season. We are the weakest outfit in the SPL at the moment as we can see with our league position. Hopefully we ca get a mystery win this afternoon and kick start things.

Nice post Private Fraser :rotflmao: How depressing when we should at least be harbouring a wee bit of hope with a new manager who hasn't even had a game in charge yet. 5 points is not unsurmountable and this team is capable of turning this around. One or more of the teams near us will have a bad run and I believe we will get our act together. Just BELIEVE until it is mathematically impossible!

  6. I was discussing Butcher and Malpas' style of management with my mate Jimmy the 'Well fan at work today. He reckons Malpas is more the tactician, keeping the ball down and playing nice, attacking football, whereas Butcher is the motivator, kicking doors in and sh1t.

I think the new management team are exactly what the team needs right now will work out really well for us. I also echo sentiments of finishing much higher in the table than 11th place. Happy days. :rotflmao:

    I BELIEVE!

  7. Summer football is a great idea. Football stadiums are baltic places in winter. Who's idea was it to play in winter anyway?

Everyone would be warmer, everyone would be happier. The roads would be safer and you wouldn't slip on ice on the way to the game. It would have a knock-on effect on kids wanting to play football because they'll see their heroes playing and go for a kick about when the weather is good.

You might miss a few games for weddings but with the dross we've been watching recently, who cares?

Archie McPherson once argued that summer football is a no-go because "men play golf on Saturday's in summer", or words to that effect. No, Archie... YOU play golf in summer, and what's wrong with playing golf on a Sunday? What a cr@p argument to make.

  8. Jimmy Nichol Bruce Rioch Eric Black

Not much being said about Eric Black. Currently assistant at Coventry, has done all SFA badges and held Celtic together during the Barnes/Dalglish debacle that we know all about. Has been touted to take over Tango man when he leaves Dons.

  9. As a player he is easily one of the best we have ever had. When he managed on the pitch you could see him talk to all the players, encourage them and coach them. Sadly off the pitch it appears he couldn't hack it. He then opens is gob and talks all the stuff re loyalty and fecks off to Utd. He takes them bottom off the league showing again that off the field he is no use. Gets the sack and plays for Aberdeen where again Brewster the player shines through. We take him back and bar a nice run of 5 wins last year it has all been rubbish.

So to Brew the player, thanks for the memories. To Brew the manager :rotflmao:

    I concur.

Good luck in your next jobs Brew and Malky.

  10. I'll get off the manager's back when I see a string of decent results. It was a string of bad results that finally turned me against the management team and made me display this avatar.

I'm not talking about a string of wins, just some points and good, coherent performances like yesterday's that get us off the foot of the table.

  11. Twice tonight on BBC News, footage of our 2 most recent matches was used to demonstrate how good Porter and Boyd are and consequently how sh*te our defence is. What an embarrassment. Will it never end? I wish dumb and dumber would just gooooooooo awaaaaaaay! :rotflmao:

  12. End of the Road - Boyz to Men

    Warning Sign - Coldplay

Send in the Clowns - Judy Collins

    Hurt - Johnny Cash

Cleaning Out My Closet - Eminem

Stand By Me - Ben E. King

    I Kissed a Girl - Katy Perry

Neither One Of Us Wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye - Gladys Knight & The Pips... actually thats a lie. Brew, GTF.

  13. He's just not got what it takes in management. That's 2 clubs in a row he has steered towards the bottom of the league into squeaky bum territory. The only reason that didn't happen during his first spell with us was because he wasn't here long enough to unravel all the good work of previous managers.

The club can't leave it any longer. I'd take Robbo's motivational skills over Brewster's any day.

  14. Does anyone else thing this is a dig at brewster

I'd say without a doubt. I mind going to watch us play Hearts at Tynecastle when the 2 of them had fallen out. We needed Black on the pitch badly but Brewster sent him to warm up 3 times and never played him.

So now we have a big hole in the midfield as well as the ones in defence and upfront. This does not bode well. Even with the recent trouble building up, its not until now that I've started to doubt if we'll survive a relegation battle.

    Time the manager was replaced.
