  1. I cannot believe some comments on Brewster, the only thing wrong with his removal was that it should have been earlier.Indeed he should not have been reappointed, Butcher would have avoided relegation if he had been in the job earlier.

James Corden very funny man, although Gavin and Stacy not his best work.
  3. YNGWIE, Point taken, but as the deed is done and further witterring on potential managers from me would not be as good as other more enlightened posters. However in my mutterings I did indicate that salary would be an important aspect, ie, if the Board made realistic cash available the applicants list would be fairly long, and hopefully produce a quality appointment.
  4. Why, why, why, why oh why has Brewster been appointed?. Due to personal circumstances I have not been participating in the Forum for many months. In that time my interest and support for the club has not changed, evidenced by attendance at several home games and a few away fixtures. CC's position was laterly under some criticisim, and a new appointment could be forseen, given the time the Board had to plan, Brewster as Manager is not a wise decision by "qualified and experienced men", plus fake posts are a bit poor. It is a step backwards, not because he previously was in the position but his behavior immediately before being "tangoed" when he pledged continuing loyalty to the club, then b#ggered off, this along with his pitifull record in Dundee ( 3 wins 30 games ) does not promise great things. The Board should have matched the ICT potential with an experienced and successfull Manager, even although the salary might have caused some upset, we are big time, act it!!!!. Having come alive again to comment feels good BUT Brewster is not the right man and although I hope I am wrong we will not progress in the way that we could, had a different person been appointed.
  5. It is wrong to say it is all down to CC .The players must accept responsibility for poor results, along with the Manager, is it time for ICT to join the "big boys"and appoint a manager who has experienced all the hard blows plus great moments in the SPL or another equally difficult league, other than a one club situation? CC is a talented footballer and a dedicated servant to the club, man and boy, but ask the question, if he was to leave ICT would he get a Managers job at another SPL club? answers please.
  6. Ralph, Brewster was made to look good by a dedicated ,hardworking squad, ok he played the fitness card, but he was never a man manager. His ego did not allow him let main players be in the spotlight. I do not wish the man ill, but even at his beloved DU,after joining them he has failed. His promised loyalty to ICT and "his" players was short lived maybe the grocer will be more loyal to him, I doubt it.
  7. Fantastic and it could have been better, dependent on less draws, CC is doing a good job but I wish he would recognise the efforts of players being subbed. Brewster.............. oh dear how sad !!!!!! Prat!

Let's not be too quick to judge, with a proper professional team alonside him he might surprise a few people, his RFC days were good.
  9. Despite all the sightings and Interpol involvment, Juanjo has today signed a contract with Granada in Spain's Div. 2 and he starts training on monday 24th with the Team.It may be that there will be a "sighting" in the crowd this evening at the game as he travelled north today with another ex ICT player, who will be on the pitch tonight. So my cellar is now empty!. Will he return to the UK to play in the future? possibly, but wages are much better in Spain and he has to consider the future, not least of all providing for his family. I wish them success in the short and long term.
  10. Juanjo is currently in Spain, although he has been offered 2 Spanish ( Div.2) teams he wants to play in UK. His agent is in discussion with English Div.1 and 2 teams plus possibility of going to Middle East.Decisions to be made soon.

CB, Sad old man that I am chust red your post on the journey north, I never Knew were part Gollach!
  12. IHE, of course it is the P& B of the battltle but sometimes the polite approach works, other times good old fashioned abuse, genuine or not (who cares?) is the answer. However starting with a chant about a long gone incident that ICT now want forgotten should not be allowed. WE are the NEW TOP DOGS lets act that way. So no more chite chants.
  13. Next season wil be a difficult campaign, despite our excellent 7th this year. So lets not start by upsetting other teams before battle commences and we can identify the real targets. By highlighting the past RT incident we are as a forum perpetuating an event long ago and in the past, we don't have to simulate RFC/Aberdire, (Durrant) just to make us part of the "hard boys"in the SPL. I am sure a new breed of "Team/Club Targets" will quickly emerge!. We are more than capable of causing upsets as a serious top 6 contender than extending long gone feuds.
  14. Highland Area = The one and only Bill Mcallister Radio = Richard Gordon TV/Setanta = Mark Hatley TV/Other = Gordon Smith Bad List. Pric Young Jim Traynor Jim Spence
  15. Well done to CC and DP, I was open in my doubts about the team's final 5 game run but my concern was misplaced, I believe next season can start on the same positive basis.Sometimes it is good to be wrong!!,however the player magic roundabout in the close season can change things dramatically and hopefully the Board will support CC with the correct decisions and CASH.Not only in the purchase but retention of players.
