No one is banning discussion. That was never stated. However there is a huge difference between discussion and personal abuse.

You are banning discussion. You are looking threads rather than banning the offenders.

    Very George Orwellian like

  2. Just reported on BBC sport website that all 11 of Celtics last season's rivals are to benefit to the tune of nearly 375k.

What will this be spent on as I assume we couldn't possibly have budgeted for this close season.

Jan transfer window spending on the cards or just balancing the books?

    Thoughts?

Dear Charles, possibly only one thing saddens me more than the farcical club statements and moral outrage vented on here and that's the fact that your crusade to police this forum and the general conduct of our support goes unchallenged when you're very clearly a dispassionate voyeur rather than an actual supporter who has some emotional investment in the club.   Your sneering, self aggrandising tone of moral superiority and intellectual snobbery quite frankly gives me the boke.  I have absolutely no interest in debating your jaundiced, prejudicial and classist views on ICT matters on this forum but if I ever actually have the misfortune of bumping into you at an away game (simply never going to happen is it Charles?) then please feel free to correct any misconceptions I've picked up on here over the years.

I have never agreed with a post more.

Why this guy even pretends to have some sort of liking for the club I will never know.

Away over the bridge Charlie boy.

I think we've had this debate already. The game is pretty well universally opposed to fireworks, smoke bombs and other, related Neddish behaviour. In addition to that, you ask the wrong question. For goodness sake, fans have been complaining quite enough about the "match day experience". Wee knuckle-draggers letting off these things quite clearly detracts from that, so QED.

I'm also interested that there seems to have been undue focus on fireworks and smoke bombs and not the rest of the culture of loutish behaviour which has become more and more associated with a certain section of the ICT support, such as vandalism of a bus, violent behaviour at Elgin and the threatening of other supporters at home games (Old Caley Girl has just posted to this effect as well while I have been writing.) There are far too many apologists for the "poor misunderstood children" who have been making a disgrace of the club for far too long - and having also read Pump Fake's latest post, also while I have been writing, I am tempted to include him in this category. These wee Neds need sorted and hopefully the guilty ones now will be.

    Steady on.

Whilst you are correct that the behaviour is unacceptable you have basically just alleged that pumpfake is complicit in it due to his responses on here.

I hope you are able to back that up.

We still have too many things/names etc that refer to pre May 1994, which cause animosity. ICT are over 23 years old now and we have sufficient history under that brand. I would like the following to change.

    1. Stadium name. Apparently the Tulloch bit will be going. Why not at that time re-name it Longman Stadium, Capital Stadium, Inverness Stadium. Neutral and part of the re-branding that is required.

    2. Kingsmills Lounge in main stand. Re-name it Firthview Lounge or something neutral. Or how about 'Right Enough Room' (only joking mun).

    3. Remove all pictures of Caledonian FC and Inverness Thistle FC days as there are a lot of these. Consign them to a museum room or corner. Replace with ICT era pictures.

    4. The cabinet thing in the Board Room is from Telford Street. Not neutral so stick it in the museum room. But don't ask me to help lift it!!!!

    5. Controversial. Change colours to mainly purple, with green and gold piping. Purple and Green from Thistle, Gold from Eagle on club crest. The crest is historically complimentary to the pre-merger clubs and is unique enough to ICT to be acceptable. Away strip to be mainly Gold, with Purple and Green piping. Fiorentina shade of purple is a striking colour. Colours are unique and would end arguments of too much blue, not enough red etc etc.

    6. Remain as ICTFC, as opposed to Inverness FC which I have previously suggested.

    Thoughts on above?

    What a heap of sheeiiiite

Absolutely embarrassing folk complaining about OFW not leaving. He is under contract and if he doesn't receive an offer he fancies then quite right that he stays here. He had a decent first season, 2nd not so good but then he was playing through injuries.

Yes, it's frustrating that we're paying him a large wage but then we did take in a large bonus for him for being at the Euros. Give the guy a break.

What you on about. Most folk are complaining that if he's here  taking a wage he should be making himself available to play if required.

Really?  Fon Williams brought us tens of thousands of pounds from being at the Euros and had had a good season the year before.  Brill had a terrible injury and may never have been the same again.  He's been at two clubs since and both times been unable to get a first team appearance before presumably retiring as a player.  The Brill that we could've kept could well not have been a patch on the one we had before and at the time, retaining Fon Williams over him was an entirely logical thing to do.

Pretty sure I read at the time either on here or local rags that the "tens of thousands he brought us" was paid back largely to him as a bonus for re-signing?

Could be totally wrong but it's in the back of my mind somewhere.

Anyway point is does he want to be a professional footballer  or a gardening leave goalkeeper/painter.

Football is a short career and u would hope he isn't deliberately turning down offers elsewhere to sit on his erse here.

Without being disrespectful ocg when I remember us winning the Scottish cup the last thing I think of is Kenny Cameron.

  9. More lost revenue perhaps at belladrum where the dwellers from over the bridge had a decent sized stall open all 3 days.

Although in all fairness I never saw anyone actually visiting it but am sure they must of made some money

0 goals from open play in competitive games. That has to be a concern going into the season.   I'm sure we can trot out the usual excuses  e.g. the league cup group stage is a bit of a glorified friendly, the team is gelling etc. but we need to see more improvement asap it it's going to be a long hard season.

Did we not score 3 in the 1st game

Did you check the official page?

    Erm no.

As with every other game I have ever attended I expected it to be on.

And let's be honest here social media is by far anyone's easiest means of communication these days especially if say a football club wanted to contact as many people as possible at one time to let them know a game has been called off Had the means to do so ie a facebook page, Twitter account, etc etc but  left it until 3 hours to kick off before doing so.

    It's not great is it

Some people just like to have a rant, need to get some fresh air!

Some people just don't want to disappoint their kids.

1st chance we had for a pre season friendly  and it's cancelled.

The communication  being awful point stands, it's actually atrocious.

It was on the official site on Monday that the game was cancelled and CTO facebook page put a comment up to that effect 22 hours ago.

Sorry but I seen nothing official anywhere until just after 5pm tonight on a fb post

4:30pm the club put out on social media that tonight's match was cancelled. Unbelievable, nothing changes.

Aye I had a bit of a rant about it on the fb post.

    It's way beyond ridiculous now

Or an indication of just how badly we need the cash from the transfer and that saved from his wages.

To be fair in the statement it was quoted thar Ross and his wages were already factored into this years budget.

There are just so many rumours flying about just now. I heard another one this morning, but because it's no more than a rumour and a well tried one at that, I'm not going to propagate it. Rumours tend to be like new manager predictions - 90%+ of them are wrong.

What a waste of a post. Just like the nonsense you write for the highland news.

I do not want any warnings for this as, if your happy to take a wage writing for the public you take the the praise or criticism publically
