  1. For as long as John Hughes is in post, this is an incredibly pointless and counterproductive thread.

Except this is a football forum where fans come to speculate on their favourite teams affairs.

Or should we just stay as silent as the club does

    Jeez

  2. Am i right that jd are sole suppliers of our strips.

Was in tryin to get wee man new home strip on saturday for his birthday but they had sold out of his size which is fair do's but the worrying thing was the lad behind the till hadn't a clue when/if they would be replenished any one in here also waiting could shed some light please?

  3. I have kept quiet long enough, I am sick of the doom and gloom merchants telling us how clever they are by telling us our manager is not doing the right things.

Next you will be saying that J H has done nothing for the club. You didn't want him in the first place and now you are ' calling ' him again. Why can't you lay off and give him another chance to prove you wrong and the same goes for our new arrivals, they haven't even unpacked their cases and you are not satisfied with them.

What a welcome what a wonderful impression of our Club and supporters you are giving them.......sad sad sad!

Theres a fair bit of money recieved by the club in the last 12 months with not very much it seems been re-invested in threadbare squad.

Im not blamin the manager as am pretty sure he will be quietly just as unhappy as most fans are that he's not been backed by the board

This is the worst squad ever now after injuries and at the moment every match day team fills me with fear

Fans turning on each other ceartinly is not the way ahead when for me its Kenny Cameron and his band of merry moneymen that are the real issue, to put it bluntly wheres all the money gone mr Chairman??

i liked all the others but sorry thats awful including the name

Obviously thats just my opinion but keep up the good work the other pictures were decent

  5. The three trialists watched the game today.

Any idea who 3rd is and also, what position he plays?

We know 2 from 3; Prince Rajcomar and Marko Vukanovic (both Strikers).

Reported on bbc website as Tarmo Kink, 82times capped Estonian striker

  6. So today live on Ssn @2pm the draw will be made with Gary Anderson in attendance.

Who do people think we will get drawn against and who do you want to meet

Personally I reckon we will get Dundee Utd at home but wouldnt mind a wee away trip to Falkirk/Raith

    Whats everyone else thinking

forget CaleyD and his staunch defence .... is this a windup or a serious question? You want the club to divert what scant resources they have so someone can update you on facebook 24/7 just so you can catch a glimpse of Yogi's helmet ? get a feckin grip !

WTF you on about catch a glimpse of yogis helmet, facepalm yersel

  8. I'm actually surprised at this topic tbh. Considering all media that is aimed at fans is done on a voluntary basis I think we are well served?

The youth and community dept have their own FB page btw so if you follow this I think you'll find some of what you're looking for?

I'm sure someone from the media team will post in reply in due course but given the small numbers and time constraints I think we are on a par with or better than the rest of the premiership?

Expecting caley d next to continue with this staunch defence

  9. Without meaning to sound like a happy clapper, attracting players and retaining the services of who we would like to see remain at the club would be far easier if we had more fans attending. Replacing Mckay is a big ask - which player realistically is out there who:

    A). We could afford and

    B). Is a proven goalscorer.

Personally I'd like to see the young players on the fringes get a good run in the first XI

You are aware our development squad is bottom two of their league and frequently on the end of hammerings, sorry but something fills me with dread thinking of letting them loose on the 1st team

ferben1994, I was wondering if you have ever watched the U 20's & if you know anything about the individual players that make up the squad?  My guess is you don't have a clue as if you did you wouldn't make such a ignorant comment.  Let me throw a couple of names at you & maybe you could let me know exactly why you wouldn't let them loose on the 1st team!  Calum Ferguson, Ali Sutherland, Cameron Mackay? Nope, fair play to ya I haven't.

my comment although probably ignorant of individual talent was based purely on stats and reading the reports of others on other forums, so for that am sorry, however it doesn't mask the fact that as a team the development team get horsed most weeks and lie bottom 2 of their league.

from that I would wager that not many are ready for such a massive step up, but, absolutely would love it if I was proved massively incorrect ☺

  11. For me the only thing that worries me about all this is the clarity of information given to the media and as such to the fans. If Yogi thinks we can get by with what we've got, that's his call and he will be judged on it, If Kenny and the board made decisions about finances that's their call and they will be judged on it. The big but is statements from Kenny that I took as meaning something was in place to cover for Billy going, then Yogi talking about loans etc. I expected this to mean someone being brought in. I'm not raging because we didn't sign players nor do I think we can compete for Europe without a proper striker but what I would have liked is clarity from board and manager.

The problem with clarity here is that all transfer plans depend on the other side - will the other club release a player, will wage demands be within our budget, will the player want to up sticks to come to the centre of our universe, etc.

Cut a little slack to the manager and the chairman - make your judgements after the next month when we know if there has been an adverse effect on results. If you read my post I have not criticised either manager or chairman. On the contrary as I say it's their decisions to make. All I ask for is for us the paying public to be enlightened as to what the club plans are. We put our cash in is it too much to ask for a little something back. And just to make my standing clear I have nothing but praise and respect for our chairman and after initial reservations about the manager he is winning me round.

    This.

The silence coming from the club is depressingly deafining

  12. May I just remind the doubters who once again are slating ICT Chair, Board and management that we are currently challenging for the league !!

When news of Yogi's appointment was released you were shouting certain relegation ! and making the same noises ............... Then you were eating humble pie!.

Now here we go again..............Supporters ?...................I wonder!

    Wow,

    Where to start with this.

So because we as fans are gutted to lose and not replace or even make any real attempt to replace our most prolific striker we are to blame just because we use an open forum to vent our spleens about it,

Grow up and grow a pair everything is not rosy here at the minute,

Wheres the extensions for 2 of our most consistent players no mention anywhere

And if you really feel we are challenging for the league still you need yer head examined, please dont take that as a personal attack as its not but perhaps the rose tinged spectacles should be at the very least lowered if not removed completely

  13. The only time we've ever had a deal of january window activity was to try and stave off relegation and that failed abysmally. It would have been great to have signed another striker but, in all honesty, how long would it have taken him to gel with the team and start to make a difference. Its still possible we could find a free agent but I'd much prefer we utilise what we have and play our strengths to whoever we can put up front. I know Fergie is young but he's been around the first team for a while now and has done a decent job in development league so I think he could well step up and be counted.

    Nonsense, all of that,

You know your going to lose your top scorer,

You tell your fanbase you have a contingency plan,

Unexpectedly you receive money for said top scorer,

You buy no one and hope we can limp on until end of season,

And if the southend player that rejected us was the backup plan then thats even worse.

The whole thing stinks, and were lucky we probably have enough points to scrape top 6 because Europe is now certainly out of the question.

And today, well today we'll get all the standard cliche's Hughes can fit into one sentence while the board do the usual of claiming we were priced out etc etc

Maybe am just tired after stayin up too late praying for a striker or maybe am just right
