How long is Sean Welsh out for?
-
I might be wrong but did Robbo not say that any departures would have to be a week before the window shuts so we have time to get replacements in?

It’s sad because County are now extracting the urine out of us as they Lord it up in the league above.
It shows a complete lack of ambition from the so called guardians of our club shame on them.Doubt you will be so upbeat when you hear who the jobber is that is lined up to replace him.
3 or 4 trialists will be training with us shortly and if the names I’ve heard are correct the future is deeply concerning
Dougal
What names have you heard?
Remember when Donaldson signed many called him a "jobber" as you put it. He didn't turn out too bad did he?

Storey off at half time and Brad McKay on. Rooney supposedly right wing. Trafford off and Carson on 10 minutes into 2nd half.
-
I cant believe McHattie starts. He was terrible last week. Is McCart injured or just dropped?
-
James Keatings. 1 all
-
Ridgers
McKay Donaldson McCart Tremarco
Trafford Vincent
Rooney Keatings Walsh
Todorov
If Rooney is fit I'd like to see him start in a more attacking role. Storey isn't a winger and Doran and Curry were poor yesterday.

We should be so much better than we are. We have good players and a good squad. We have exciting attacking players yet we don't play to their strengths. We bypass them all the time by playing aimless long balls to a striker who doesn't hold the ball or win many headers. We need to get the ball on the deck and get our wingers on the ball because that is where we are most dangerous. This long punts up the park is garbage. Sort it out Robbo.

McGregor needs to be on the back burner for a while, wee bit out of his depth today, Also don't know what's going on in defence but Coll and Mccart seem to be out of touch with each other.
I thought McGregor was the one bright spot today. He was always looking for the ball and looked our most dangerous attacker in my opinion.
James Vincent on the other hand needs to know that it's ok to pass the ball forward. So many backways and sideways passes when we had the chance to move forward.

I've been his biggest fan but all Jamie McCart had to do was pass the ball back to Mark Ridgers. Why he decided to try and dummy the attacker and play it down the line was stupidity. His touch was poor and he gives away a needless throw in which we don't defend properly. Kind of summed up the game.

Having seen 19 players start our last two games and two youngsters get a bit of game time off the bench, we have seen all bar the injured Mckay and Currie recently.
We will all have our own thoughts, but I think this is our strongest 11 currently:
Ridgers
Rooney Donaldson McCart Tremarco
Carson Welsh
Walsh Storey Doran
White
The back 5 pick themselves, midfield and up front are tougher to choose.
The only change I would make would be James Keatings in place of Miles Storey. I've been very impressed with Keatings so far. The rest I'd agree with.

I don't think there is moaning, just people having different views on things. Surely that is what a forum is about. If everyone agreed on everything it would be boring.

Glad you spotted the deliberate mistake
Let's just say Tannadice was a bad day at the office then, definitely a wake up call that day, no?
Deliberate mistake.
Anyone can have a bad game. Basing your opinion on one game is harsh.

Is it getting cold on here or are there too many snowflakes all of a sudden??
Why construe some balancing comment as picking on a player ? Sure Mccart is good but he's still young and there is plenty room for improvement. As for Coll ,he has been outstanding in his time with us but hasn't had the best of starts this year - even the blind can see that...if anything Chris has had to be more alert as a consequence.
It's only four games in and there seems to be the usual wave of euphoria after our first good game/result...stand back and wait for the bigger picture to appear, like after the first round of games.
Who's Polly? Seems like there's an open wound there that just ain't healing.
SteveA - care to explain why my posts were 'the most' ridiculous, or can you not put reasonable meaning to your point?
Jamie McCart is our best defender. He is very good in the air and his reading of the game and his passing is excellent. Anyone that goes to games can surely see this. To say he needs to concentrate more on his defending is weird. Defending is his main strength. If you do go to games watch how many headers wins.
Also if you are talking about a player maybe get his name right.

Lots of mentions of Mccart improving and being a good passer - glad he's passing is better now because it was awful in his loan spell. Id rather he concentrated on his defending to be honest, still think hes a bit powder puff in some challenges, particularly in the air
13 hours ago, Satan said:Aye, Coll is making him our best defender with his performances.
Like I said I think if he can focus on his defending, particularly in the air where he doesn't dominate like he should for his size. I don't think he's the type of centre back that forwards fear playing against...yet.
Two of the most ridiculous posts I have read on here in a long time.

Brilliant win and fantastic performance. A lot of credit must go to our forward players but I thought are defence were superb. That was Tremarco's best performance for a good few weeks. Donaldson was solid and scored a great header and Rooney was sound defensively but also such a threat going forward. Jamie McCart was tremendous. He won tackles and headers and his range of passing was superb. He just gets better and better. And to top it off Ridgers saves the penalty. Every player though deserves credit because to a man they were superb.

Great to see Sean Welsh back. Cant wait to see him back in the 1st team.

Totally agree that Vincent does not deserve the criticism, he put in a great shift. The lack of quality in our crosses must be addressed, no wonder White was disappointed in being taken off not one decent cross to attack
Maybe White was disappointed because his first touch was awful, his hold up play was worse and because he forgot to take his lead boots off before the game which meant he couldn't jump and win any headers!

It's a great move for Mackay. He's just coming back from a long term injury. His game time would most likely be limited with us so joining Elgin on loan until January where he will hopefully be playing first team football makes total sense. Hopefully we can look forward to a fit and confident player coming back to us. Come the new year he could be like a new signing.

Is he better than McGregor, Mackay or Machedo. I don't think so. Robbo keeps talking up our youngsters yet signs guys who are no better than what we have. Storey is certainly no legend. In the history of ICT this is possibly the best core of youngsters to come through. All these guys need is a chance. We've got nothing to lose.

Really impressed with Lewis Toshney. First time I've seen him play and thought he looked really good. After that performance he must be looking like our first choice centre half. Let's hope he can stay fit and get a good run in the team.
