Testing everything this weekend I thought jack. Attendee lists from both clubs 24hrs in advance . Temperature scans of all entrees. Access and egress plans. Toilets. Dugouts . Etc. Sure cameras will get an internal test as well. Did volounteer 2 hours of my time as a tester but rejected like a fat kid at his first disco. ( A feeling I remember well.)

Does anyone remember the turgid pre season games following relegation. Losing to elgin struggling at forres being beaten by stmirren dunfermline and livingstone in our first few games. That preseason was meaningful enough.....this preseason is hopefully lesd meaningful.

That was a good watch. Movement of the front 4 in the first half was very good. Particularly impressed by mackay and storeys switching positions and constant runs into channels. Also thought the balls forward from Mackay in goal and centrebacks used these well. Dont think the movement was as good or ridgers as direct in second half. Cameron and Ryan were decent but did lose possession a couple of times and just once Ryan was outmuscled in front of goal but on that showing we dont need a right back we need time for them to bed in with a consistent centre back pairing. I dont know who that is from this. Anyone pick out a centre back pair.

I think financially we are in a much better position than anyone here expects. We have other companies leasing our car parks, significantly reduced wage costs, clear support from local businesses and healthy season ticket subscriptions (>1400) to allow us to view a remote camera of each home match. Compare that to our competitors. Hearts lose 7000 fans each game behind closed doors compared to last year but have 11000 season tickets sold already. But with avg wages last year of 140k the balancing act will be hard. Dunfermline and Dundee have both had financial catastrophies in recent history so they may now have robust safeguards in place but who knows.

Brilliant almost non sweary podcast. I still have big hopes for the youngsters to help fill out the roster and get re signed closer to start of the season especially Brown and Fyffe. Havent both played right back?
