Yes but have they taken Ollie into account.

Goodness me he'd dogs going to be spoilt for choice up here.  There plenty of wee hills for him to climb up here, plus the beaches, not to mention falls of Foyers, Plodda Falls, Glen Affric as a very small example.

That's what you call positive alternative thinking!

  2. I've believed for a long time that our poor organisation is down to Rice, I firmly believe Foran being largely inexperienced is letting Rice run the training ground. I think a good move would be to get rid of Rice and bring in someone with a better track record and maybe even past experience working with Foran or ICT. In my opinion there was no point in getting rid of Dumb but leaving Dumber

Sensible comment, as ever, but it would give me more hope if we were able to cling on to a few of the standard attributes of decent managers:

    • makes good signings
    • gets the best out of the players
    • team always looks well organised
    • the players look really fit
    • good tactician
    • has a good plan B when things aren't going to plan
    • makes good substitutions
    • has the team playing attractive football
    • team always hard to beat
    • develops young players
    • great team spirit is evident

How many of those qualities has Foran demonstrated?

Only one of forans signings has been good in my opinion and that is Brad Mackay and I'm lead to believe that was more good timing and luck with Billy King knowing Brad and putting in a quick and early word so not really forans doing.

  4. I believe he is injured.  out of all the new signings he's by far the least promising. He's by far my biggest disappointment too, as I still believe out of the 3 forwards he "looks" the part... As in he looks smaller and potentially nippy and able to break off and cause back lines real problems, but in reality he has shown none of that and obviously caused foran to go looking again with Doumbouya. I'd love to be proved wrong with him, but I fear we've bought a dud

  5. I wonder where Bodens future lies at the club, he's obviously fallen right out of favour now and seems highly unlikely to feature anywhere, including the bench. From what I've seen of him both on the training ground warmup and games he has nothing to offer, and it would appear he's in no hurry to improve that situation. Makes me wonder, given we have him for 3 years what Foran plans to do with him. Would it be worth loaning him out in January and at least get something back for him to spend elsewhere? So far he appears to be the worst signing under forans reign

It's not a belief.....I know for a fact that a great many journalists/reporters watch fans forums looking for stuff they can build a story (or non story) on.

It's kinda my job to know and keep an eye on these things!!

Ah ok, fair enough then. I guess the proof will be tomorrow when we see the lineup, although gotta say not looking forward to that

This is one of those things that Dave Gorman covered in "Modern Life is Goodish" the other week about how wikipedia and it's citations have become totally meaningless.

In short....the STV article is based on the information posted in this thread and as soon as they publicise it, it then gets used as evidence to support the original speculation that it is based on.

Do you really believe that STV come looking in this forum for news articles?

We have a goalkeeper injury crisis! OFW and Ryan injured, Cammy Mackay back on loan at Elgin and Daniel Hobban also injured. Only available keeper is a 16 year old youth player. This could see the Hamilton game being postponed.

What? Where did you get this information from? I have seen nothing anywhere about fonners being injured and cammy mckay would not be going back to Elgin unless Esson was fully fit

  9. At the risk of appearing simplistic and harsh, what the hell is going on with these players just now!! I have only the sportscene highlights to go by, but once again we looked lethargic, unorganised, disinterested, I could go on...it's one thing losing to a better team if we at least tried everything we could, but everything I saw just looked like a team lost and leaderless. As much as injuries played a part in this game, I'd have thought that would have made the rest even more determined to get something out of it. Everyone looked content to leave the ball for someone else, and the lack of communication was shocking. Michaels comment on sportscene was spot on, rather than start looking for new defenders to buy Richie needs to concentrate on properly training the ones he's got to do the job we know they are capable of before we are left adrift at the bottom

The team need to show us something to get remotely excited about. I've not witnessed too much of this great home performances. We are very fragile and easily turned over. We are in trouble and Hamilton game is as important as all of our remaining games but it does take on an extra dimension now.

Three wins in sixteen league games is relegation standard. Four defeats in a row is relegation standard. Conceding the most goals in the league is relegation standard. Taking points off Celtic will not guarantee our Premiership status. As disappointing as they are, injuries are part and parcel I'm afraid and the problem created by no money and hence a weak and wafer thin squad just exacerbates that. Leaving the stadium in the 90th minute against Aberdeen does send out a message to the players. It should tell them that the fans are not happy with what we are seeing. Fair game if you ask me. Will I stay for another couple of minutes to watch joyous Aberdeen players and fans. Not likely, I'd rather poke my eyes out with a jaggy nettle. I'll still turn up and give it a go, but the standard of play and the way we go about it is making it difficult to give me much hope for the future. Prove me wrong please.

    Disgruntled.

Sums it up perfectly! Well said

So we're being given the stands, not the stadium. The BBC headline and title of this thread are a little misleading.

Financially, what do we have to gain from ownership of the stands?

The club currently pay rent to Tullochs for the stands... Whatever that equates to I have no idea, but my guess would be a few thousand a month. That will now not be the case

Interesting Renegade selection but Foran aint Conti and we aint Chelski - He would never experiment at this time with a 3-5-2. Unfortunately it will be the usual 4-2-2-1-1. I would personally definitely be going for Boden or even Cole up beside the Walrus.

Boden has been ruled out, as is Fisher

    From todays courier:

As well as being without Horner and Mckay and Raven struggling, Scott Boden and Alex Fisher will also miss out through injury.

Oh the joys...lets hope Carlos can keep pumping in the goals then!

Saints have not been struggling to score lately so with that huge gap in defence we are looking at humiliation. Looks unlikely Raven will play, and ridiculously Brown is ineligible to play so it will mean dropping Draper back relying on vigurs and Tansey in CM and now one and only "striker" Doumbo. If there was ever a time to give Sutherland a chance it's now

  14. Just seeing a story on front page of courier this morning saying Tullochs are to gift the stands to the club, giving them complete ownership of them and will mean no longer paying a rent to Tullochs. Big bonus for the club not having that financial burden over them

  15. No I don't think we really have a goal scoring answer this season at all, Doumbo best of a bad lot going by goals scored but unfortunately it'll end up being the usual suspects in mf or full backs that will potentially need to win it
