The Record has apparently got conformation that Dundee have informed the SPFL that they have declined to vote.  If that is a formal abstention then the proposal falls.

According to the BBC there have been 9 votes cast, 7 for 2 against...so was this abstention counted in the 2, or will that make 3, meaning that we have in fact voted after all??

  2. 75% required to carry resolution, according to BBC.

Not a fan of voiding the season, as well as removing the club's results it affects all players stats too.

In these exceptional circumstances I think finishing on current standings is least unfair option.

League restructuring may just be a bone thrown to the dogs to settle them/us for a bit.

Once all of this is over we need to have a fundamental review of who we value and rely on most in society and start to reward them accordingly.

If the Tory government suddenly forget the value and commitment of the hundreds of thousands of nurses, carers, cleaners, shop workers and others who have got us through this crisis then the electorate need to remind them at the first opportunity.

But in reality, we will return to the greed of yesterday's society and the idolatry of false celebrity.

And unless a proper funding solution can be found, paying the nhs staff more like what they are worth will surely deprive the nhs infrastructure of the billions it needs to maintain already below par levels of investment in materials, equipment and support function.

I can't see the solution being possible with only public sector finance .

The Chief Medical Officer has resigned. Entirely the correct thing although I continue to believe that it would have been better if she had done so this morning.

The cynic in me wonders about the delay and why she wasn't removed from post....time to throw together a goodbye handshake perhaps??

The FM explained her reason for not sacking her and, although I disagree with her decision to retain her services albeit now in the background, I believe the FM's reasons. She was put in a very difficult position by someone who has let her, Dr Calderwood's own NHS colleagues and the whole country down.

The only thing I would give her a little credit for is the fact that, unlike Charles, she has at least admitted that she was wrong and has made an excruciating and sustained public apology, she could have been pulled from public appearances before today's briefing so so some limited credit from me for fronting up to that.

Of course she had to admit she was wrong, at least one of the times!

  6. I think a lot of wealthy businessmen/women couldn't hold a candle to the wealth of the average English top flight ball kicker, who probably pays nearly as much in creative accountancy fees as he does in straight tax.

And now they're after poor old Kyle Walker,  footballers really do get the sh1t end of the stick in the PL.

  7. 'Daisy' Ross has to be in there somewhere, great utility player in the early SP years, could run faster backwards than forwards. Scored or assisted a few important goals.

No sign of Teasdale there so I'm assuming he's in the first XI. Legend.

Thought Darren Dods had a good year with us too, not the bombscare I expected and good experience for young Grant beside him.

Vetle Anderson...maybe not, even with his keepy-ups.

  8. 🤣🤣

    Sandy Robertson, total banana.

Scott MacLean was lethal in partnership with Stewarty, pity about his knee injury.

Brian Thomson, now that's old school. Rocket shots from all over the place and ears that meant he got subbed f the wind got up.

  9. Unfortunately the advice from the authorities is misguided in that it is already too late for the containment phase.

After another busy sporting weekend, and airports taking flights from Italy I'd say the horse has left the barn sometime ago.

Only after strict anti movement measures has the situation calmed in China's provinces. Italy will see similar results before long too.

The government will react again when the situation worsens here, with similar measures being introduced soon.

Its ironic that with all the hoo-ha of brexit over recent years we've actually not made the most of our island status.

    Typical.

  10. Aye, Toshney did ok against the Hun Colts who were quick and smart thinking.

Last night showed what we have lacked for a while - a cb who sees the danger and attacks the ball, reckon if we'd have hung onto either mccart or coll it wouldve been  a good partnership.

More valuable minutes for McGregor,  who struggled at first - you don't learn too much on the bench - but grew into the game with his awareness and touch getting up to speed with the big boys.

A 3-2 win means good entertainment and value for money, what a difference Todorovs goal made.😏

Morton not able to defend crosses again I see? Pleasing.

We didn't try many other methods than crosses,  most blocked near post or cleared by centre backs...the law of attrition means if we put enough in we will eventually score.

We were as poor, if not worse defending crosses than they were.

Going through eBay, they're normally about a quid a piece, though the first season ones rarely crop up...

A quid...Might have to rethink my retirement plans...or maybe count my first season programmes.
