  1. He certainly has experience in a number of roles at various clubs, and has been in discussion with us for a few weeks.

Might be good for both parties - new challenge off the beaten track for him and a fresh appraisal of the situation we are in.

Over the years we have been a happy hunting ground for players and managers to come here and prove themselves - perhaps mr Gardiner will do likewise.

  2. Without Donaldson & Welsh we look fairly lightweight through the middle, also losing a good bit of experience with their absence .

Keeping it tight  would be hard work for our already jaded looking team but we can but hope - although I've never thought we could sit in and contain a team.

Not seen enough of Hearts recently to speculate on how they play - they have a big squad and seem to constantly change their 1st team lineups.

.....On Drapes.............would we take him back? To my eyes he is doing what he always has and he is an asset at this level....

Unless he has a very good midfield around him at premier level, he'll struggle, again.

Take him back?? Not on those wages!!

    We can't afford mercenaries.

    ?

  4. He was quite combative when he was with us, and not being the quickest he could end up on the late side of the tackle.

I remember in the premier league he was feeling victimised by the amount of fouls/bookings he was picking up...claiming that he was the player fouled more often than not.

I think due to previous dominance in the other derbies the kettleferg has decided that Draper will be used in the most destructive way when county don't have the ball. Polworth will be glad to see the back of him.
