Scotland job is Yogis to lose, surely;)

Popularity goes a fair way in determining these things anyway.
Certainly splits a tight vote at the least.

No pressure today, other than having to perform in front of an expectant home crowd. Time to find our form.

Errr, what we need in the transfer market to improve ??

I'd agree that a reserve team would be a valuable addition, for various reasons - it's just a case of finding a a revenue stream which could fund it.
-
I suppose we'll have to accept the offer due to our dire circumstance.
-
Problem being that there is a huge gap between u18s and 1st team...Really missing reserves now.

Agree. Donaldson has been excellent for us and demonstrates qualities that should see him develop into a very solid Premiership player. At his age, his transfer value should be more than Draper's was and one trusts there will be a significant sell on clause. Chalmers is also progressing well but I can't see him as someone who would strengthen County in their Premiership campaign.
As usual, it looks as though our inability to pay players the kind of wages which would tempt them to stay will mean we lose several of our better players at the end of the season. Fortunately we have a manager who has demonstrated real talent for bringing in players with the potential to develop. Whether we get through the play-offs or not, those skills are going to be badly needed again during the summer break.
This is unfortunately the ever decreasing circle we are now in - lose the cream of the crop and struggle the following year , find another talented couple and prepare to get cherry picked at the end of that season too.

The guy behind you with the stick....Think he was looking for his sheep back!

Need a replacement for Polworth, and still need a forward who can score more goals.
Could probably do with more strength in depth throughout - this has cost us early this year.
If we lose any key players over the summer they will need replacing too.
Anyone seen a magic wand lying around??

Tremarco, injured again...

Its a funny old league this...
If we win next week we will have one point less than last year, but finish clear in 4th (or 3rd if Ayr screw up ).
If county win they will finish on 74, the same as St Mirren last year.
The main difference is at the bottom.
Brechin in 10th amassed 4 points and 9th placed Dumbarton only 30 points which was ok for part timers I suppose.
Without Brechin more of the middle teams have less points making it tighter this year...I think Brechin helped our goals & points tally considerably too.

Who's this been out drinking ?
Name & shame...might explain the tired legs we see on odd occasions.

Its almost as if they dont want it known.

They bought a team in the summer , had an injury scare so bought half a team in January. If we had an extra couple of players we could have matched them. If Neilson was in from August his signings would have see them give more of a challenge. Ayr were in it for a long time which given their resources was excellent.
If only we had a goalscorer, we would have seen a real difference...

County signed 10 players in the summer and another 5 in January.
Thats why they won the league.
Most of their players aren't good enough for the premier and will be freed over the summer...that's what a ruthless and rich chairman gets you. ( also helps to 'connect' with the community ).
If it wasn't for the mediocrity of the challenge in the championship then County wouldn't have found it so easy.
Expect their co-managers to get the sack in the next 12 months.
That's not their shadow, it's just a passing cloud.

As long as he refrains from attacking the coaching staff on matchdays in the dugout in front of the main stand - he will do ok.

When we play as we did yesterday, slow and ponderous, teams can let us have the ball safe in the knowledge that after 20 passes from left to right and back again , we will eventually lose possession. In United's case they have the players that can and did open us up easily with very few passes.
When we speed it up , not giving time for defences to reset we are more threatening, but we seem to forget how to do this, time and time again.

Let's see how committed he is with any 50/50 challenges in the play off game.

Do you go to away games or just home games?
What does this have to do with it? Or you for that matter?

Great run by the youngster, but had two chances to shoot in front of goal before he went further wide then dragged his shot wide.
Austin went too far on this occasion, but that is all. No getting knickers twisted folks .

Handball... dry your eyes.
Weren't nearly good enough.
Could've played 'next goals' the winner' and still would have lost.
3 hours ago, Kingsmills said:Of course we can beat United. We have done so very recently.
However, we will have to play much more clinically, defend better and be more committed than we were today.
Any one of the four teams taking part in the play offs are capable of winning through and that, on our day, includes us.
If we go in to them with a defeatest attitude we will, without doubt, be defeated.
If's and but's . Our season has been punctuated by them.
Do you really think we are capable?...Not just hoping...hope gets you only so far, but really think so??
Too often we have come up short when we 'expected ' more.
I think some will be let down, again.
What we need in transfer market to improve.

Rooney could be useful in right mid, if his passing /crossing can improve. He's definitely a bit Tokely-esqe when he's on the charge. Also needs to work on stamina, takes an age to get back on position.
