January Transfer Window
White will be away in the summer, Keatings is played behind the main forward usually, storey is usually deployed out wide. At least one of Harkness and Kennedy will most likely be loaned out again. So I think he's preparing well for the summer. Also Shane is far more prolific than any of our strikers at the moment so I'll it's a clever signing

Strange way of looking at it, when your teams just been beaten 3-1 by a poor side...

Think it's more the problem that he's far too slow on the ball, and slowed down the flow of a few promising counter attacks due to his inability at times to release the ball quickly. Again though he'd probably work better with a midfield that includes a player like Welsh so he can take on more of a Chalmers role. Although Carson looks more than capable of that plus a little bit better on the ball than Vincent.

Probably my main problem with Vincent is the fact that he's too pedestrian, and he's far too slow in realising the ball at times. This is probably made worse by the fact he's paired with Carson, who is too similar a player to Vincent, and it probably exaggerates his slowness on the ball even more. Probably if you paired him with Welsh he could work better

Yeah I suppose but then on the flip side Arbroath made it difficult to get into quality crossing positions. Maybe if players had started making runs to the front post, we may have got more chances to score. In regards to the Arbroath defenders as players I don't think they were better than any in the Caley defence. I think it's the more the fact they are so well drilled defensively and know what their doing as a unit. If Caley can get the sort of cohesiveness defensively as last season then things will definetly start looking better.

Actually the ground driven crosses are probably more effective against physical and defensive teams like Arbroath. Low balls pinging around the box are more likely to cause errors than high balls in, because Arbroath were playing an extremely low block with defenders that are competent in the air.

Partly agree with the sentiment however Peterhead are far from being 'gash'.

I suppose it's always disappointing to start a season off like this, but I'd rather see how they are getting on in October when the players should be at maximum match sharpness. If they're doing poorly at that point then maybe there is cause for concern.

They more than likely were however with Caley being rusty aswell it evens out the playing field a little more. They've also just came off the high of promotion which adds an extra layer to the competitiveness of the game.

Winning 3-0 would've been good however our first competitive game back the players are always going to be rusty. Even if we don't make it out of the group stages it may not be a bad thing as it means less games for a thin squad, and less chances of injuries.

Not a worrying loss, only the league cup these games are glorified friendlies.
