Yngwie is absolutely right and IMO it shows how ridiculous the official interpretation of the rule is. As a young referee back in the 70s/80s I found it nigh on impossible to give a definitive ruling on many occasions so had to resort to reaching the negative decision because you couldn’t be sure the whole of the ball was over the line - and this caused some heated arguments I still recall very well.

Even these days, without the benefit of an overhead digital camera drawing lines on the screen for you the decision is always going to be controversial. Would it not be better to have the rule amended so that any clear grass between the line and the ball means it has crossed the line? So much simpler for everyone and especially for the refs in the lower leagues who do not have the benefit of the latest technology.

Football refs have it easy. Try being a shinty ref 😆

Any word on a pitch inspection given the heavy frosts we’ve been having? Hopefully there being no word of one means there is no risk.

We will be missing Carson tomorrow (I hope all goes well for his partner and their new arrival arrives safely) with Harper and Boyes doubts. We are a bit light at the back potentially so may have to go with 4 at the back again as last week rather than the 3 which seemed to be suiting us.

    The club’s preview is here:

I think the pitch had covers on it this morning.

  3. In all seriousness though this is a tie we should win comfortably. By late January we should be a settled squad with the likes of Sheridan and some others long gone. Hopefully this is an incentive for Wotherspoon to see a possible cup run opportunity and have him sign up at least until the the end of this season.

First game this season as did not renew season ticket and was sick of Dodds s##t tactics, Robbo and his taking the p##s, still want Gardiner out though.

But as Meatloaf said, "Two out of three ain't bad".

Wow that was awful. One of the worst games I've ever suffered. If that's supposed to be an improvement on Doddsball, I don't agree.

Even a voluntary role for an effective SLO would be a start? Can't see the CEO bring overly keen though

Totally agree with this. Gardiner employing someone to highlight his and the boards isolation and shortcomings?, zero chance of that.

Gardiner still needs to go before our club returns to caring about and engaging with its fans.

Welsh and Wotherspoon in the middle of the park is a duo to be excited about.

Don't mean to be negative, but I'm slightly worried about them both being fit enough / injury free to even be on the park. Both will be a few weeks off match sharpness even if fit to go now.

There was a small part of me hoping this morning's press conference was to announce a new CEO.

Sadly, I think the only way we'll be rid is when he's driven the club into administration.

Agreed. Also, why does Ross Morrison always look like he appears to be looking lost/confused and wondering why he is in the role he is?

It’s amazing how Some people just see things so differently. (Pint of whatever they’re drinking please ) . Going absolutely nowhere if left like it is .

We aren't going nowhere, we're going down.

Plus it's not just Dodds. It's Robbo and his second job, CEO and his dictatorship style, a SLO who is about as reachable and answerable as Putin, etc etc.

  9. I am not spending one more penny on ICT as long as the current set up remains.

I feel the same toxicity in the air as there was in the lead up to the merger.

Same 'well do as we like' attitude coming from within ICT now, at there was in 1993/1994, which turned a lot of folk against the 'new' club.

I checked out for a time back then, and I'm doing the same now.

Sad, but I just don't respect the club at present and I'm losing more and more interest in it with each passing day.

  10. Today, I stayed away. Nice weather. Cycled my bike. Chilled out and enjoyed a positive afternoon away from hoofball. Didn't miss it at all. Quite sad indeed as in seasons past wouldn't have missed a home match for anything.

Give me a shout when Dodds and Gardiner are gone please.

Can someone tell me where the happy clappy section of the ground is? I’m fed up being berated by angry cursing miserable old gits when I cheer the team.

No aspersions on the type of coarse fans I’d leave behind (Some old Howden Shed guys could come to mind but I’m not sure).

So reading other posters there is a more pleasant area in the ground where the finer quantities of the sport is appreciated!

    No.

Use your ticket for Saturday and make your anger vocal .Hell John Robertson May make a guest appearance.

I no longer have a 'ticket' and I'm no longer spending my money on the 's##t show' ICT has become.

The 'football' no longer entertains me and those running the club disgust me.

    I've had enough. End of.
