  1. Whoa - Rome wasn't built in a day - we have a team that has NEVER all played together+ players getting used to the system+ little knowledge of the opposition. I would take 1-0 today.
  2. To me the smart thinking is that we are holding on to a number of younger "reserve" players but putting them in positions where they get regular football and that can only end up showing if they are up to the mark or not. The other issue would be financial and we are probably paying some spondoolicks for the loanees - especially McAllister - and Samuel, unless there is some kind of agreement with Uncle Roy !!
  3. OH NO - We have lost out to County again !!
  4. Everton aren't doing contract renewals at the moment which is good news for us - but I suspect he will use the stage to move on. Let's just enjoy while we can
  5. McAllister is the best signing in a long time.
  6. Now that would be a shock as he has been close to breaking into the first team squad recently.
  7. Altogether now He used to be a tink and technically still is now but he's ours till the end of the season - Alex, Alex Samuel - sing twice (for now)
  8. Hope its more about three at the back with more of a penchant to play out quicker and more forward thinking passes - Two wing backs with a look to go forward - a ball playing holding midfielder - two interchanging number 10's and two forwards holding a high line. I would suggest that we have that ?
  9. Following a specific football team is an addiction. When the drug is active it can be so effective and better than any anti-depressive or stimulant. When it is not working it can lower the mood significantly and increase the general malaise. I try to remember and relive the considerable times that the drug has been simply buzzing in my body and will always retain the hope that such moments can be experienced again. At the present time it is a case of enjoying any positives and see a way ahead. The main problem is that the main drug dealer is an uncaring narcissist. Let's hope that a new and stronger cartel moves in soon. Until then keep taking the tablets and a degree of hope and achievement may be achieved, irrespective of where you exist in the universe or whether any sense of improvement is gained by attending games or keeping a close eye from afar. AMEN
  10. Last season the two performances at Firhill were shocking. I went to Ayr recently expecting something similar but got a performance closer to the Livingston cup game. Just look at Falkirk and a number of other squeaky bum winners. Many would say that a professional job was done against Broomhill. Most teams play the tippy happy style - our problem is that our back four has changed so often and we are not fast enough in the going forward aspect of the game.
  11. Passing back and fore is the core teaching of modern day defensive coaching. Does anyone actually think that Dunc will change that ? I suspect that many would love to play the Pele Paterson way but those days are unfortunately gone. That is why it has to be quicker and more accurate when it goes forward - and that requires sharp thinking midfielders and pacy finishers. Have we got what is needed ?
  12. He used to be a t*** and he still is now but he is Ok till the end of this season, Ok
  13. But why oh why give Samuel the spot kick
  14. As a registered Seer I could not publish the correct name.
  15. We will have to change the chant - He used to be a t*** and he still is (sort of) now but he's also ours for a while
  16. That's a real good signing. Gives all, strong and pacy
  17. Everton deals are OFF due to the legal situation at Goodison
  18. The only problem with flares in the 70's was getting the blood stains off.
