It's plain to see that one of the major factors that led to Brewster's and ICT's downfall was this ultra-defensive long ball rubbish. Yesterday's game seemed to be punt-tastic as well. How many times does it have to be down to be proven that it simply doesn't work and never has for ICT. If ICT want to get back to the SPL, they're gonna have to punt it, if you know what I mean. If I were boss it would 4-4-2 way next season and 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 at home, playing the ball to the wings the way the team used to do under Pele, and keeping the ball on the deck. Discuss.

This was the topic of some conversation yesterday. When we were down against Hamilton a few weeks ago before the split, we were running the game with 10 men, and scored. Yet, yesterday, we waited until Falkirk pulled ahead, before we chose to mount a concerted attacking formation - 4 up front for the last 10 mins - and got more on target than we had in the rest of the game. Yes, the Bairns may have dropped back, but they still needed another goal t be safe. Attacking football is all about confidence, something that has been in short supply this season.

Good strikers are expensive, hence there relative absence in the lower half of the SPL. Brewster's biggest error was the wholesale clearout of strikers in his early days, leaving us with Rory McAllister and Barrowload.
