Division 1 Scorers

I see on the BBC website that our Caley No9 is top scorer. Well done to Adam for coming good t his season. He's scored where it matters and hope he has a few more to add to his current tally of 15 goals. Here's the top 5 + link

ROONEY INVERNESS CT 15

GRIFFITHS DUNDEE 11

HARKINS DUNDEE 11

HOLMES QOS 10

BUCHANAN PARTICK 9

Interestingly, the P&J article on last nights match has Rooney at 17 goals. I assume the 15 mentioned on the Beeb site is SFL goals only?

Aye that's right 15 goals in the league from just 16 starts, a fantastic return.

Makes you think that had Butcher played Rooney at the start of the season we'd be clear at the top.

I'd go further than that and say that had we played Rooney more last season we would still be in the S.P.L.

I constantly asked the question, on this forum, last season and at the start of this one, basically saying, why are we not playing our best striker ?

In the league last season Rooney got a measly 10 starts scoring 5 goals (still our top scorer) both Barrowman & Garry Wood started more games and they didn't get 5 between them.

You may say that the boy wasn't playing as well last season as he is this, I'd counter that by saying he never got a decent run, Brewster giving him 7 starts and Butcher just 3 !

Och well, I don't see him sitting on the bench in the forseeable future.

Is there not a buy back clause in his contract if Stoke want him back? I seem to remember hearing about when he signed and there's one in Football Manager.

:lol::lol::lol: Aye, and Rory McAllister is rated 64 or something on Fifa 09. One of ICTs best players!
