Kevin Keegan was my first football hero. My first hand football memories begin as an eight year old in 1979 and he was the England captain then. If he'd been playing in England at the time I would probably now be a supporter of whichever team he was at then. As it was his almost telepathic understanding with Trevor Brooking in the England team (the only real bright spot for England back then) led me towards West Ham. His rapport with Newcastle was genuine, although not a geordie, and loved the club. The team he built there was, despite winning nothing, a breath of fresh air to the game. His passion shone through and the "I'll love it if we beat them!" rant still gives me goosebumps. RIP Kevin.

I'm thinking of heading down for the Fleetwood game and then an overnight in Blackpool on the Saturday night, is anyone planning on going to this game?
