  1. It's time for Player Sponsorship for the 2024/2025 season. For 20+ years we sponsored one or more ICT players each season. We were proud to have been the main shirt sponsor of Grant Munro through his entire ICT career from a youth breaking into the team to his final season with the club, then we moved onto sponsorship of Liam Polworth. We have also sponsored other players over the years for boots, gloves or other items including record appearance holder Ross Tokely and most recently Cameron Harper for four years, until the end of the 2022/23 season. Like many others, we took a hard decision and paused our sponsorship at the end of the 2022/23 season due to a lack of confidence in our (now former) CEO. It was a hard thing to do, as we all love the club, but it had to be done. We remain proud to have sponsored so many players over the years and as Alan Savage appears to be coming in to right the ship, ably assisted by club legend Charlie Christie slotting into the CEO role (for now?), then it is time for us to also re-commit to the club and play our own meagre part in helping with the rebuild of ICTFC so we can once again become the 'Pride of the Highlands'. With our former sponsored player - Cammy Harper - gone, and the other player we were able to sponsor in 2022/23 (Lewis Hyde) also gone, it is time to choose a new player, or hopefully multiple players. I have been in contact with the club yesterday and have been told that many people withheld sponsorship in the way that we did so there are a lot of opportunities. Typically, we have chosen one of the young local lads with a view to maintaining that sponsorship throughout their entire ICT careers, but the field is very open right now. I have my own thoughts on who it should be but want to gauge everyone else's ideas so have added a poll to this thread to get an initial set of opinions and go from there. I will take the names from the club website where the main shirt is not showing a sponsor name. Whoever finishes the 'winner' can be who we look to sponsor and if we raise more than the cost of one sponsorship we will go to the next player on the list. All very democratic and open [UPDATE] After a week of polling we have now settled on our chosen player(s) and will initially sponsor the home top of Matthew Strachan. Should we raise enough money we will then sponsor an item from Ethan Cairns and the others listed below. The format will be the same as previous years - all monies raised will go to the sponsorship. We will focus on getting enough for player home shirts, which will be randomly given to one of our sponsors at the end of the season, and if we raise enough, we will sponsor other player items up to the level of cash received. (INITIAL) PLAYER TO BE SPONSORED: We will try to raise enough to sponsor more than one player in some fashion, but based on the poll results, the order is as shown below. MATTHEW STRACHAN ETHAN CAIRNS ADAM MACKINNON SHAE KEOGH ROBBIE THOMPSON COST Home Shirt - £450 inc vat [to be confirmed]. Other costs as shown below. [We will not be aiming to do any sponsorship on the manager.] HOW TO TAKE PART For now, answer the poll so we can figure out who to sponsor. Feel free to add any additional comments in the thread below, especially if the player you want to include is not listed. I took the names form the ICTFC website and did not add any players who already had a main shirt sponsor. I will delete the comments when we are ready to start accepting memberships to clean up the thread so if your post is a different point for discussion please use a different thread. Join the "Player Sponsor" group. We will use the money received from these memberships (minus PayPal fees) to purchase player sponsorship(s) from the club. We will set all memberships - regardless of when ordered - to end on June 1st of each year. This allows us time each year to gauge the interest in continuing for the following season. The cost to join this group remains the same as before at £16.00 (this amounts to £15.00 joining fee plus £1 to cover the PayPal fees). You may purchase multiple memberships if you wish, just amend the total in your shopping cart and add a note when placing the order if it is to cover family members who may not officially be site members! To join the group simply go to this page http://caleythistleonline.com/store/ or access the CTO Store from the main menu at the top. All our site membership upgrades are handled securely via PayPal's platform which will accept direct payment from most credit/debit cards so it should be easy enough to upgrade your membership whether you live in Sneck or somewhere thousands of miles from there. Unfortunately, we do not accept cash payments. Once we know how many members have joined the group, we will decide on who/what gets sponsored. The first item will be the selected player's Home Kit ... but the more members who upgrade to "Player Sponsor" membership, the more we can sponsor. At the end of the season, members of our sponsor group will be selected at random to receive any gifts we may receive from the club. For any events that occur during the season (like sponsors nights or meet and greets etc.) we will offer first refusal to members of the sponsor group to attend as our representative. If you are interested, please add your name to this thread or go ahead and join the sponsor group. You will be marked as once we confirm payment received via membership upgrade .... (once we have enabled it)
  2. Here are the draw results for 2021/22 season to see who receives Cameron Harper's signed shirt from this season just past. WINNER - CAMERON HARPER SHIRT: @Scotty WINNER - LEWIS HYDE SHIRT: @weeman WINNER - SHANE SUTHERLAND (PINK) SHIRT: @IBM The names in the hat for each of the seasons are based on the members who joined the sponsorship group each year (see topic linked below). The draw itself is conducted using a random generator website (www.randompicker.com). We have used this same site to conduct all our draws over the years and have also successfully conducted several test draws on the current data that completed without any issues. The draw is completely and utterly random and no-one on CTO or within ICT has any influence or control over the names that come up. This is important to note as there are people connected with the club and with CTO who have subscribed and are therefore eligible and who will not be excluded from the draw. If anyone has any concerns or questions about this process, please feel free to PM me or mention it in the thread below. 2021-22: List of participants 2021-22 Draw Result on the randompicker website : https://app.randompicker.com/protocol/773385x3976
  3. Its time for Player Sponsorship for the 2022/2023 season. For 20+ years now we have sponsored one or more ICT players each season. We were proud to have been the main shirt sponsor of Grant Munro through his entire ICT career from a youth breaking into the team to his final season with the club, then we moved onto sponsorship of Liam Polworth. We have also sponsored other players over the years for boots, gloves or other items including record appearance holder Ross Tokely. For the last four seasons we have sponsored Cameron Harper and it looks like a good choice now that he's breaking into both the Caley Thistle side on a regular basis and also got a call-up to the Scotland U21 setup alongside Robbie Deas, Roddy MacGregor and former team-mate Daniel Mackay over the last couple of years. As we continue to transition out of COVID restrictions, the club needs these sponsorships more than ever so here is hoping we can raise enough again this year to continue... Last year our generous site users committed enough so that in addition to Cammy's shirt we were also able to sponsor Lewis Hyde's shirt and it was good to see him break into the first team as the season progressed. He did not look out of place in the first-team and its always a great pride when youngsters we sponsor break through. We will aim to sponsor Cammy first, but if we once again raise enough then we can look to renew other sponsorships. (INITIAL) PLAYER TO BE SPONSORED: We hope to continue sponsorship of CAMERON HARPER's Home Top. If we reach additional milestones, we will look to add sponsorship for other players for 'lesser' items. COST Home Shirt - £450 inc vat [to be confirmed] HOW TO TAKE PART To take part in this sponsorship you will need to upgrade your site membership and join the "Player Sponsor" group. We in turn will use the money received from these memberships (minus PayPal fees) to purchase player sponsorship(s) from the club. We will set all memberships - regardless of when ordered - to end on June 1st of each year. This allows us time each year to gauge the interest in continuing for the following season. For the last three seasons we have sponsored Cameron Harper and it looks like a good choice now that he's breaking into both the Caley Thistle side on a regular basis and also got a call-up to the Scotland U21 setup alongside Robbie Deas, Roddy MacGregor and former team-mate Daniel Mackay. Renewal (or not) is at the user's discretion and as far as paypal is concerned it's a one-off payment and there will be no automatic re-billing from their side.

  8. Over the years we have sponsored someone or something every year either through the site coffers, our users, or both. We sponsored Grant Munro through his entire ICT career and have now done the same thing with Liam Polworth who will leave for Motherwell at the end of the season. We have also sponsored various 'lesser' items like goalie gloves or Ross Tokely's boots etc ! Over the years we have taken pride in picking a young up and coming local players who might not otherwise get sponsored at that stage of their career and it paid off for us with our sponsorship of both Grant and Liam. My open question to the site users now is whether we continue to sponsor a player now that Liam is leaving, and if so, who that should be. I have to be transparent here and say my initial thoughts were to say an absolute no to sponsorship for next season. I do not take kindly - in business as a service provider, or on a personal level - to being ignored, slandered, bad-mouthed and lied to, all of which have taken place in the last year by senior club employees. Given there have been some positive changes in personnel at the stadium, and I have had a few months to let the initial annoyances, frustration and financial impacts subside, I am prepared to continue running our scheme on here if enough users want to continue. If the scheme is to continue then I would be up for sponsoring someone like : Daniel Mackay, Roddy MacGregor, Cammy Mackay, Daniel Hoban ... etc basically one of the younger up and coming guys. Current sponsors have priority over renewing so although someone suggested switching to Ridgers, he is fully sponsored and if his current sponsors renew it would not be an option. Emma will no doubt send us a list of players in the coming weeks with details of who/what is available.

  13. Here are the draw results for 2016/17 season to see who receives Liam Polworth's signed shirt and the other gift from this season just past. WINNER - SIGNED SHIRT : TM4TJ WINNER - OTHER ITEM (TBC) : TM4TJ The names in the hat for each of the seasons are based on the members who joined the sponsorship group each year (see topic linked below). The draw itself is conducted using a random generator website (www.randompicker.com). We have used this same site to conduct all our draws over the years, and have also successfully conducted several test draws on the current data that completed without any issues. The draw is completely and utterly random and no-one on CTO or within ICT has any influence or control over the names that come up. This is important to note as there are people connected with the club and with CTO who have subscribed and are therefore eligible and who will not be excluded from the draw. If anyone has any concerns or questions about this process please feel free to PM me or mention it in the thread below. 2016-17: List of participants 2016-17 Draw Result on the randompicker website
  14. Its time for Player Sponsorship for the 2016/2017 season. PLAYER TO BE SPONSORED: To be confirmed but main sponsorship likely to be the same as last year which was LIAM POLWORTH Home Top. If we reach additional milestones we will look to add sponsorship for other players for 'lesser' items.: COST This is still to be confirmed but we will base it on last year's costs. Home Shirt - £350 +vat (420) Away Shirt - £250 +vat (300) Training Top - £100 +vat (120) Boots/Gloves - £100 +vat (120) HOW TO TAKE PART To take part in this sponsorship you will need to upgrade your site membership and join the "Player Sponsor" group. We in turn will use the money received from these memberships (minus paypal fees) to purchase player sponsorships from the club. The cost to join this group is £11.00 (this amounts to £10.00 joining fee plus £1 to cover the aforementioned paypal fees). You may purchase multiple memberships if you wish, just amend the total in your shopping cart and add a note when placing the order if it is to cover family members who may not officially be site members !!! NEW MEMBERS: To join the group simply go to this page http://caleythistleonline.com/store/ or access the CTO Store from the main menu at the top (under features). All our site membership upgrades are handled securely via Paypal which will accept direct payment from the majority of credit/debit cards so it should be easy enough to upgrade your membership whether you live in Sneck or somewhere thousands of miles from there. RENEWING MEMBERS: You can either use the same process that new members use or, as some have done already when they got a reminder email and invoice, you can do a simple renewal from your account. Go to http://caleythistleonline.com/clients/purchases/ and you should be able to renew from here. If you do not want to renew simply ignore any reminders and you will not be billed. CASH MEMBERSHIPS: It proved to be a bit of a hassle when we last did it so we do NOT take cash payments. Everything needs to go through Paypal. Once we know how many members have joined the group, we will make a decision on what gets sponsored. The first item will be the selected player's Home Kit ... but the more members who upgrade to "Player Sponsor" membership, the more we can sponsor. At the end of the season, members of our sponsor group will be selected at random to receive any gifts we may receive from the club and the first selected user can - if they wish - attend the sponsors' event held by the club as our representative. If you are interested, please add your name to this thread or go ahead and join the sponsor group. You will be marked as once we confirm payment received via membership upgrade .... EDIT: Just to clarify a couple of points .... Technically the payment is listed as a 'subscription' when you pay, but that is internal to this site only and is done this way so that in a year's time it will generate an invoice on here allowing existing members to renew (if they wish) or to let it expire. Renewal (or not) is at the user's discretion and as far as paypal is concerned its a one-off payment and there will be no automatic re-billing from their side. The "subscription" runs for a year and you can renew 10 days before it expires. As some people subscribed early and others subscribed later, the invoice may not be in your account yet. If it is not, and you want to renew, just send me a PM and I will edit your expiry date. We are still looking to make the expiry June 1st of every year. I edited the transaction list so all subscriptions end on 11/06. This has meant the invoices are generated. Renew from within your account (or not) ... it will only allow you to renew whatever you had before so you have two options if you want to change quantity ..... renew the subscription and order another OR cancel the renewal and just place a new order for the quantity you want.

  18. First things first ... mucho apologies for this thread starting ever so late. I have had a lot of things happening this summer and this one slipped my mind ....... Player we are sponsoring - To be confirmed but main sponsorship likely GRAEME SHINNIE Home Top. If we reach the milestones required we will look to add sponsorship for other players for 'lesser' items and from the list of available players, and our preponderence to sponsor younger up and coming players we may look to add boots/training top or such like from Liam Polworth or Ryan Christie . The cost to sponsor a player is as follows: Home Shirt - £375 +vat (450) Away Shirt - £TBC +vat Training Top - £150 +vat (180) Boots - £150 +vat (180) To take part in this sponsorship you will need to upgrade your site membership and join the "Player Sponsor" group. We in turn will use the money received from these memberships (minus paypal fees) to purchase player sponsorships from the club. The cost to join this group is £11.00 (this amounts to £10.00 joining fee plus £1 to cover the aforementioned paypal fees). All our site membership upgrades are handled securely via Paypal which will accept direct payment from the majority of credit/debit cards so it should be easy enough to upgrade your membership whether you live in Sneck or somewhere thousands of miles from there. As with previous years, we hope to have a couple of options in place for those who may be joining manually at the pub or when speaking to a mod or admin in person ... more details to follow once we work it out !!! If you are joining manually you can ignore the extra £1 fee. Once we know how many members have joined the group, we will make a decision on what gets sponsored. The first item will be the selected player's Home Kit ... but the more members who upgrade to "Player Sponsor" membership, the more we can sponsor. At the end of the season, members of our sponsor group will be selected at random to receive any gifts we may receive from the club ...... If you are interested, please add your name to this thread or go ahead and join the sponsor group. You will be marked as once we confirm payment received via membership upgrade or more traditional means .... EDIT: Just to clarify a point one or two people have asked about .... You can easily double check after making payment in paypal. Look at your payments made and make sure it does not note that a subscription was created. I disabled paypal subscriptions for this item so there should be no chance of it doing that for any future payments. If for some reason it has (and again, I say it should not), then you can cancel the subscription without cancelling the payment right inside paypal. I think a couple of users (RossP, Caley Mad In Berks) may have been caught out with this before I had switched off the paypal element of the subscriptions, but for those users you need take no action, I have cancelled the recurring subscriptions from within our paypal account and you can choose to renew next year or not without automatic re-billing. I will also cancel any others that I see but these should no longer occur now that I switched off the paypal portion of subscription.
  19. Player we are sponsoring - To be decided It has usually been the same as previous years if the player has not left the club so the aim will be to raise enough to cover both Shane's home top and Gavin's training top unless of course people want to change that. Other sponsorships will depend on the level of "membership" the "Player Sponsor" group reaches. The cost to sponsor a player is as follows: Home Shirt - £375 +vat (£75) = £450 Away Shirt - £275 +vat (£55) = £330 Training Top - £125 +vat (£25) = £150 Boots - £125 +vat (£25) = £150 Gloves - £125 +vat (£25) = £150 To take part in this sponsorship you will need to upgrade your site membership and join the "Player Sponsor" group. We in turn will use the money received from these memberships (minus paypal fees) to purchase player sponsorships from the club. The cost to join this group is £11.00 (this amounts to £10.00 joining fee plus £1 to cover the aforementioned paypal fees). If you are interested, please add your name to this thread or go ahead and join the sponsor group. You will be marked as once we confirm payment received via membership upgrade or more traditional means .... IMPORTANT: The way this was originally setup, it created a 'subscription' in Paypal. Our system would automatically re-bill you in a year's time. This was an error on my part as we know the members change from year to year. Those who already paid need do nothing, I will cancel the renewal portion of the transaction from my end (not the actual transaction) so if you see a wee note that subscription is cancelled its nothing to worry about ... just means you wont automatically get dinged for another tenner next year and will have to actively choose to re-subscribe ! If you paid after the date of this edit then it should not show a subscription just a payment.
