    Caley Jags Together

      Teaser Paragraph:

CaleyThistleOnline welcomes the news on the formation of 'Caley Jags Together'. Having worked closely with both groups over the years we know what great people are involved and how much of their time they give to helping the club and the fans. Each has served it's purpose, and done it well, but we believe that by joining forces the new organisation can be greater than the sum of it's parts...something any fan should be able to appreciate since that is what has brought Inverness Caledonian Thistle to where it is today. 'Caley Jags Together' has our full support and we look forward to assisting them with spreading news and facilitating fan discussion on all things ICT.

Caley Jags Together Press Release Follows.......

ICT Supporters Trust + ICT Supporters Club = Caley Jags Together

Inverness Caledonian Thistle Supporters Trust and Supporters Club have come together to form a single fan’s organisation which will be known as ‘Caley Jags Together’.

Following discussions between the two groups and Club Chairman, Kenny Cameron, it was agreed that a united fans organisation would better represent the fans of ICT in a number of ways.

Supporters Trust, Peter Murphy commented: “In this difficult financial climate it made perfect sense to bring everything together into one group. This enables us to pull together the resources, knowledge and experience of the members of both groups while, at the same time, allowing us to deliver efficiencies in operational costs which allows more of every pound received to be used for the direct benefit of the fans and the club.”

Supporters Club, Liz Sutherland commented: “Conversations with Kenny Cameron and Terry Butcher highlighted the growing demand on time and resources for everyone and it therefore made sense that the two fan groups amalgamate and do their bit to reduce that load. The Supporters Club members agree that we should be working together towards a better future for ICT and the new name represents that desire.”

We will be working closely together over the coming weeks to ensure the transition is managed as smoothly as possible.

The new name for the fan’s group of ‘Caley Jags Together’ fits well with the Supporters Trust and Supporters Club coming together and also ties in well with the recent launch of the ‘All Together Now’ campaign which will see us, the club and the Inverness Courier working together to encourage more local support for ICT.

ICT Manager Terry Butcher was pleased by the announcement: “I think it is great. I’ve said before that we have some fantastic people at this club, and that includes the fans. The joining of the two groups is only going to make the bond between ICT, the supporters and the community even stronger and that will benefit everyone. ‘Caley Jags Together’ says it all”

One of the immediate benefits to come from the formation of ‘Caley Jags Together’ will kick in with effect from our first game of the season, an away trip to St Mirren. By taking over the operation of the Official Travel Club we believe we can deliver a more efficient service, improve the away-day experience and encourage more fans to follow ICT “on the road”.
