  1. Smee I've been luck enough to do a couple on your list. The Grand Canyon is pretty spectacular. You arrive and go oh it's just a big whole in the ground, then the scale of the place sucks you in and you leave dumbfounded. A small part of the original route 66 exsists outside the town of Williams on the way to the Grand Canyon. I'm sure the locals at the bar that night told me that most of the route had fallen into disrepair or vanished completly as it has been relaced with modern highways. Still the bit we got onto still had the original signs.
  2. Spot on, and the craziest thing is that most of the projects that rank above the A9 are ones where they are trying to improve efficiency...what hope do we have when those making the decisions are prioritising speed over safety!!! Unfortunatley the government view life as cheap compared to the cost of Dualling this road. Short sighted view they have, If they had done 5 miles a year since it was upgraded the whole road would have been done by now. Never ceases to amaze me when down south the number of dual carriageways that you go on that hardly seem to have any traffic on them.
  3. Sad to see him go. I think we could have seen him at his best this season. Last season I agree he never really lived up to the hype. I expected bucket loads of goals. But I don't think Brewster gave him a fair crack of the whip. A lone striker role would never suit Marius as he has no pace to nick in behind defenders. He does read the game very well and has a sublime touch. If Brewster had played him behind 1 or 2 strikers that knew where the net was I think he could have created goals for fun. His strike partnerships last season where non exsistent. Bayne for all his effort could'nt score in an empty park. Wyness never recaptured his true form and Rory is ....... It would have been interesting to see what the likes of Barrowman (who seems to know how to hit the net) Rooney or even Lovell (if we had the gumption to go out and sign him) could have done feeding of his passes. Good luck for the future. Oh IHE whatever happened to your 'Marius can Carry us' posistive attitude from last summer. :021:
  4. What do you have? Do you have Lunch or Dinner? Dinner or Tea or even Supper? As a kid I always had my Dinner at midday and my Tea at night. Kids went to school dinners, served by dinner ladies. Some kids took a packed lunch to have at dinner time, which seemed strange. Been arguning this with the missus for a couple of weeks now. But what does she know she's originally a Weegie and keeps on calling her old man's shed a hut.
