  1. Reguero came from the Spanish 3rd or 4th tier and was an unknown quantity when he came here. Dean Brill is the same. Let's just see what happens...
  2. United? Hmmm... I just don't see that happening.
  3. "The Dons'll come good this year..." © since 1990...
  4. Should also add that before the start of last season I put a fiver on St.J being relegated! Killie are doomed!
  5. I guess fans of other teams in Scotland would have said us or St.J were the SPL's surprise package last season. Has anyone any predictions for the coming season? Post them here and we can laugh at how wrong we got it at the end of the season. I'll stick my neck out and say that I think Killie might do quite well this coming season... They've a good 'keeper in Samson, Boyd may do well and they've been linked with Andy Webster and Darren Barr. I also think they've a good manager in Allan Johnson. (now watch them finish 11th on the final day of the season now that I've said that!)
  6. Is it just me or does it just look like clubs can do whatever the f**k they want, run up debts, pay what they cannot afford, not pay staff, carry on signing whoever they feel like it, field ineligible players, etc, etc, etc. and nobody gives a bl0ody toss. The only time any of the authorities seem to jump into action is if anyone dares question any of this. It's a f**kin' scandal.
  7. Weiner!!!

We offered him a contract I believe but he did not want to be here and wanted to go back to his beloved aberdeen. Where is he now BTW?
  9. Usain Bolt made my mate's toes drop off.
  10. Fixed it for you!
  11. I once put a cloth out with a damp fire.
  12. He's signed for Cluj but c*unty have registered him as a player...
  13. Or you've caught a dose!
  14. Alex you are always having a pop at me again - Have you nothing better to do? Find someone else to sound off against with your puerile views You are not telling me Steve Harper is not better than anything we have in the goalkeeping dept. at the club or in the e SPl for that matter other than Celtic who have a worldie in goal When players get to a certain age they are looking for a coaching role, a bit of experience will help him in his future development. I don't know if he has his badges. Saying we can't afford Harper I agree, that is why I said get him to do some coaching, and I said " coaching" not just goalkeeping, *we sure need a good coach, our set pieces are all over the place, our throw ins are rubbish", I thought that could be an incentive. Go and have a pop at someone else for a change. You talk to me like I'm dumb or something. I have been around a long time. I was a Senior Fire Service Officer for a very long time. I ran a whole Time Fire Station for years. I don't need preaching at. I know wages are a big thing in a football club, I wasn't born yesterday. End of rant Laurence I don't think Alex was having a personal go at you, he's not that type of of poster in my experience. And there was certainly nothing puerile in his response. However regarding your comments about Steve Harper I have to wonder if you've been on the sauce or are just on the wind up. Firstly we do not need a full time 'keeping coach, our current situation seems to suit everyone at the club very well and the extra expense could not really be justified I feel. Secondly Steve Harper is not up to much in my opinion. Sure he played in the EPL but so did Peter Enckleman, Steve Simonsen and Massimo Taibi (sp?) that does not mean they are better than what we have. Harper has played an average of around 10 or 11 games per year over the past decade or more and has hardly set the heather alight during these games. But lastly Fraser Forster being world class - PLEASE!!! He's not even the best keeper in the SPL. Hell he's probably not even the best keeper at celtic. He's certainly the poorest keeper to play for either of the twins of evil in a very long time.
  15. Looking for a bright side, it'll be Norway, where the alcohol is far too expensive. I'm sure Terry and Mo would've sorted themselves out at the duty free if was too expensive.
  16. We're in the Highlands of Scotland and we're called Inverness Caledonian Thistle - whoever would have (hypothetically) been drawn against us would be using that sentence to describe us. Although in Norwegian. Or Icelandic...
  17. (... is a kant...) The Paulibees (Birmingham), King beastie (Leicester) and the amigos Gringo (Coventry Nil) were a part of the E&WMBotICTFCSC (East and West Midland Branch of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club Supporters Club) The PB's, Beastie and myself have all crossed the border to live in Glasgow and Inverness, whilst Mr and Mrs Gringo remain in Coventry Nil. There are others we dont so much hear from these days, such as DaveICT (i think that was his name) who lived in Bristol. We also cant forget IHE who lives where the feck he decides to drop his marbles. Those were the days!...
  18. Course you're welcome! Did the London Evening Standard tell you we eat our young He's thinking of dingwall obviously.
  19. Like Djebi-Zadi?
  20. Not really any pubs near the ground. I stay in Glasgow so tend to mostly make away games but The Caley Club in town is good before (and after) the game, they run a bus to the ground, doesn't take long. Some of the regular home attendees will be along soon to keep you right I'm sure.
  21. "...would it be safe?" Scottish football (excluding the old firm) is very friendly, you'll have a good time. North Stand behind the goals no bother. Just remember don't go over the bridge. Unless you've had your jabs. And watch out for IHE.
  22. Shane Sutherland has been renamed Jay Cheyne? Did he go into liquidation? Why not just The Shane Sutherland?
  23. Or let's just win the chuffing things eh?!
  24. Yup - against Aberdeen and we got relegated that season. We tend to do well if we've had a slow start. Odd.
  25. Feck it - let's just win the league this season eh.
