The obvious one that comes to mind is Paul Ritchie. He was on trial at St. Mirren who didn't fancy him and then came on trial with us. One of our best ever signings.
-
Gordon will definately start, of that there is no question. By all accounts the team will look something like as follows: Gordon Broadfoot Weir Caldwell Naysmith Fletcher Hartley Robson Morrison McFadden Maloney

Our only clean sheet was kept when Granty was playing. Opening day of the season at Aberdeen. Our two best performances this season have been v Aberdeen and Kilmarnock - The only games where Granty, McGuire have played together with Duncan protecting them.

Esson Tokely Duff Munro Hastings Cowie Black Duncan Imrie Wood McAllister

No dedicated coverage but I do believe that Sportsound will have the 'open mic' thingy on the go. Have to say I quite listening to it with random shouting in the background every so often.

Just got a text from someone who was at the game. He says we should have comfortably won but their keeper made a couple of cracking saves and Rooney smacked the bar. Some defensive indecisiveness from McGuire killed us. Really disappointing as thats Hamilton and St.Mirren who haven beaten us at the TCS. If we want to progress we have to start killing off teams at home.

Thats fair enough. Good of Mr Smith to provide some clarity.

What we need to find out is who controls the Trust because it is the trust that controls ICT properties and therefore the stadium (minus new stands) and debt. Clear as mud is about right.

I may be wrong, but I thought the club had to list specific details in their accounts of all companies where they have a holding of more than 20% (As they have done with Caledonian Thistle Properties). If the club own 50% of the Share Capital of the Trust, then why is it not listed as such? Aplogies, I never looked it up to see if it was fact. I just saw the 50% thing in your initial post. The trust actually has no share capital so who has control is debatable (directors are Sutherland, David Stewart, A Sellars and Ken Mackie). However. What puzzles me is how can the Trust be the ultimate controlling party of the ICT Properties as there is nothing (literally nothing) in the Trusts accounts and no note of even the existence ICT properties in the trust accounts. However, ICT properties accounts specifically name the Trust as being the controlling party. I'm only passing on the facts as I see them but as you say it's a confusing as to what the club actually has an interest in. What you can be sure of is that nothing is outwith the reach of Mr DS Sutherland.

Hmmm.... it's alla bit confusing. I've just had a poke around companies house online database and there's some interesting things on there re: the above companies. Inverness Caledonian Thistle Trust has never done anything. Never filed active accounts and the property and loans were never transferred into the company. Instead it appears that they were transferred into Inverness Caledonian Thistle properties Ltd. I can only hazard a guess but this company cropped up at the same time as the property appears as a disposal in the football club accounts. The only thing that puzzles me is that the Stadium lease appears to be a current asset (Work In Progress) until 2005 when it was transferred to being a tangible fixed asset. Furthermore, its under the category of Freehold land now and not Freehold property as I would expect. Interestingly, the registered address of this company is Stoneyfield House - i.e. Tullochs and it's 3 directors are David Sutherland, C Di Ciacca and Alyson Marshall. As you would expect the company is loss making with ?50k rent from the club and ?200k of loan interest to service. Aaah. I have just seen who owns the share capital of this Inverness Caledonian Thistle Properties Ltd - Inverness Caledonian Thistle Trust Ltd. Basically the trust does own the stadium and debt - just indirectly. The club also have a 50% share in the trust and so indirectly retain part ownership of the stadium. Inverness Caledonian Thistle Properties (2004) Ltd is a different matter. It owns the new stands (secured by a debt to Tullochs) and has then same listed directors. The parent company however is Slackbuie Ltd which owns 100% of the share capital. Essentially - The club have no ownership or right to the new stands.

I would hope that this swing is caused by a number of one-off items rather than being part of a trend. I know we didn't have a cup run last season but surely sensible and prudent budgeting would assume this to be the case. It is possible that the board budgeted to maintain our top 8 finishes and thus we lose out on ?80k or whatever it is per place but there is a hell of a lot more to this as this would have been offset by Rankin's transfer. I did note in the chairman's report that the cash outflo was ?62k. Although fairly reasonable I'm a bit worried as this was offset by the ?290k of new shares issued. Without this we would have made a cash loss of ?350k. Niculae's wages did not take up this so where did it go. Profits don't mean jack because with no cash we're fecked. I haven't seen a full set of accounts for a few years as the club only file abbreviated versions at co's house so it would be interesting if someone could post the P & L and balance sheet once the accounts are sent to shareholders. I wouldn't be surprised to see a small profit next year however with the Niculae Euro 2008 cash, his transfer fee and losing a couple of higher earners like Wyness and Bayne as well as having Rankin off the wage bill for the whole year. I would be surprised if the new recruits are on as much as these senior players. I really think the club are missing a trick with non-football income streams (e.g. Elton John, business conferences) and this needs to be pushed and publicised as this can help offset a bad year such as this.

Where the hell did we find this Wagaluka guy from? Completely out of left field. Appears that work permit will be an issue if he impresses. Highland News

As you say it's a decent result againt a team looking for promotion to the EPL. They've also spent ?4 million or so so to compete with them is a positive. Still not happy about the defensive mistakes when Mcguire is inthe team, whether or not he is personally responsible we do make more collectively when he plays.

Agree 100% with everything you've just said. Good on Stevico1 for manning up and giving us some information.

Actual team for the game from Burnley website report. Inverness CT: Fraser, Tokely, Hastings, McGuire (Duff 64), Munro, Duncan, Cowie, Black, Rooney (McAllister 79), Barrowman, McBain (Imrie 64). Subs: Proctor, Djebi-Zadi, Wilson, Vigurs, Wood, Esson. No coincidence we started playing better when Mcbain and McGuire went off for Imrie and Duff. Hope to see the team that finsihed start next week.

Read Stevico1's post. There was a witness.

Whether they are right or wrong is was not really the point of my post. I'm voicing my disatisfaction t at their handling of the matter. The point is the club officials are going about this in a completely amateur manner. They have managed to get themselves reported to FIFA & UEFA which does not provide a great deal of brilliant publicity. There are also the numerous contradictory statements and as I said before a personal attack on the officials of Dinamo. If the club are indeed in the right this is not the way to be going about prooving it. Everything about the club is appearing amateurish during this whole saga. We really need to engage a couple of savvy executive types behind the signs to provide the support necessary. If the club are indeed shown to be in the right then all the fans willbreathe a huge sigh of relief but it's going to take much more than that to restore my complete trust in them. Regardless, I will still offer my support to every player the pulls on the shirt though.

If I had it in my contract I was due X amount I'd fight tooth and nail for it. I'm really not impressed by the statements being made by the club as they are contradicting themselves at every single turn which signals that they are trying to manouevre their way out of something. Not only this but they were also questioning the integrity of Dinamo (Grassa on MFR by the way) which is unprofessional to say the least. Regardless of who is right or wrong in this situation the directors and senior management at this club have shown themselves to be inept, Simply put I do not think that they are fit and proper persons to run this club.

Don't mean to be pedantic but Rory isn't even 22 yet. In fact he's only just turned 21. Plenty of time to come good - IF he works hard enough to make the most of his talent. Although we haven't seen enough of it at 1st team level his performances for the reserves and the fact he's very rated within the Scotland age group setup suggests he can make it. However, like I said he really has to be committed and give everything - and that goes for Vigurs, Sutherland, Wood, Gillespie etc. too.

Drew 4-4 with Herfolge today. We were 3-1 down with 10 mins to go until RORY SCORED A HAT-TRICK including what looked like the winner in 90mins. However we then blew it by conceding deeper into injury time. The other scorer was Adam Rooney which makes it 2 goals on tour for him. Big Lionel Jibby Jabby scored an O.G. - I don't think it will be his last either. Herfolge official site!

From what I can read I'm 100% sure its ?500,000. I can't get over the fact that they've posted the official documents on their official site. I doubt it will catch on here.
-
Redee, if you click the link you'll see that the price is 500,000 euros which is 400,000 pounds.
-
Just figured out what the extra ?25,00 is for. Dinamo have witheld 5% of the fee until the receive his registration.
-
According to official Dinamo site the fee was ?475,000 = ?375,000 at todays exchange rate. Bizarrely, they have posted the official documents on their website and if you look closely or zoom in you can clearly see the amounts. So the club can bugger off with the 'undisclosed fee' as Dinamo have told us. Official link EDIT: Just looked more closely. It appears the fee is ?500,000 as there is an additional ?25,000 for some reason. I can't tell as its in Romanian but on the second document down it also states ?500,000. This is ?393,500 at todays rates.

More than likely but why the need for a cover story?
