  1. I thought that Alec Cleland would have a role, but sadly he has gone too. More like Charlie Christie will fill Dannys boots I would think yes thats how I imagine it will play out as well LG I don't know about anybody else but I feel that the board is being incredibly short-sighted by getting rid (although I'm sure they've probably called it a mutual termination) of both of them. Surely at least one of them should have been kept on considering age-group/youth development is where they've spent all of their careers. Although in saying that I have no problem if Charlie does step in and fills the now combined role.
  2. I presume Alec Cleland will be moving into Danny's role as well as keeping all of the duties he currently has?
  3. It shouldn't really surprise us. His history suggests that the word loyalty has bypassed him. What is more concerning is that we don't appear to be trying to get in any kind of replacement - infact the ready made one we did have was released.
  4. Sounds promising I don't think crowds will be as high as they were in the SPL but if we can average 3,000 we'll be up there as one the best supported in the division.
  5. I wonder if we've had a lucky escape in some wierd way.
  6. Did Scott Mclean go to Partick? Also, you must have played at the same time as me. I wonder which one you are then? Could you even be beside me?
  7. Forgotten hero - Darran Thomson for that goal at love street. Worst player ever in an ICT shirt otherwise. Scott Maclean - for his 2nd and 3rd division goals. Everyone only seems to remember Stewarty.
  8. If we're talking about Lewis Mckinnon and Craig MacMillan (Buckie) etc. I'll add some of the others I played with. David MacRae(Buckie), Bryan Gilfillan (N.I. B and under21 international), Neil MacDonald (youngest ever scorer), Tony Low, there was also a goalie called Ike in the same team- wonder what happended to him. Will need to look out the team photos for some of the rest....

    Refs

From the Scotsman today: "QUICK FACT Demoted Inverness have never won a game in which Eddie Smith has been their referee"
  11. Fixtures - Pass But the season will start first weekend in August I would have thought. 25th July is the date of the league cup first round which we will take part in.
  12. And we get to win the challenge cup again......

The referee was fairly atrocious. How many times did Barr get away with climbing over Foran? However, he also should have sent off Blackie for an horrendous challenge and the only reason he didn't brandish a red was because Rosscoe had been sent off a couple of minutes beforehand.
  14. Rosscoe got caught a few yards behind Munro and played Lovell onside. It was a clear foul BUT I'm not sure it was a clear goalscoring opportunity as Lovell didn't have the ball under control and it seemed his initial touch had put the ball across Tokely. Mihadjuks may have been able to get round.
  15. Yep. It's time for us all to get behind the club Just like today  Not the point. You know as well as I do that the crowd today was a one-off and it's not the atmosphere that I'm on about We've rarely hit 6,500 for a game in the SPL apart from when the OF come to visit. What I mean is that the folks who have a season ticket in the SPL need to renew. The money we earn in the SPL is far less than the SPL and so it's more vital than ever that we get behind the club.
  16. Butcher's plans for next season. It sounds like he's here for the long haul. He has already targetted players for next season and hopes he can use the parachute payment for the playing side.
  17. It looks like they may (and an under 17's league). However, does the point still stand? Are we going to have to divert money from other areas in order to keep a healthy, completitive first team squad.
  18. Maybe. It depends on the comings and goings in the summer. If we can hold onto Morais and Foran I'd be confident but I'm doubtful as to whether or not we can hold on to them.
  19. Yep. It's time for us all to get behind the club and renew season tickets, buy the new away shirt - anything to help the club get us back where we belong.
  20. Now that our releagtion has been confirmed what is going to happen at ICTFC? For example what will happen tot he youth system and reserve team. Part of the SPL requirement was that we enter a team in the reserve league and under 19 leagues. As far as I am aware the SFL does not have a reserve or under 19 set up like the SPL. What happens to our talented youngsters and squad players? Obviously this will mean the first team squad will be trimmed back but what is the knock on effect on the youth system. If our 17, 18 and 19 year olds have nowhere to play willl the youth setup be disbanded? In my opinion that would be a huge mistake as we are finally starting to see the benefits of a well planned and funded programme which will soon provide more first team players. However, if cutbacks have to be made will this area suffer more than most? My other concern is that of the other staff around the TCS like the office and admin staff who are a life saver on many an occasion for some of us. Will there be a knock on effect in terms of jobs or can we sustain the numbers we currently have? I would hope that with the financial prudence shown in the past by the boards that we can take the drop down to SFL better than most. The club really needs to have a good plan of action for life in the first division otherwise the stay could be longer than necessary. This relegation - although gutting and truly horrible should now be used to bring this club back to how it used to be. For the last 2 years some of the signings have been ill though out and rash. No thought has been given to a style of play or how a player will fit in with the rest of the squad. We need to use this relegation to clear out some of those signings (Gatheussi, Proctor, Zadi, Rooney etc.) and get back to focusing on the true ICT style of play that will get us promoted - this needs to be complimented by a few howegrown youngsters who can fill in for injuries and suspensions and retain a sense of local identity (something that has been sorely lacking recently). In order to achieve this we also need to play our part so I urge all of you to support the club in any way you can. I know we have our grievances with some of the sneior manageemnt (directors and DOF) but that isn't going to help anything (unless someone has a spare few mill?). I therefore urge you all to renew your season tickets, buy the new away shirt or anything that will get us back to wear we belong. ICTFC and proud!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. [quote name='Kylef' date='May 16 2009, 06:07 PM' post='185381' lets face it - crunch time, id take Terry Butcher as manager over Hughes!
  22. I understand your thinking though. I can the imagine the match on Saturday is going to be an exhilarating experience and the relief/joy/* at 2.20pm aftergetting a positive result to be something unsurpassed as an ICT fan. * Insert appropriate feeling

    Aye
  25. What he said. Although Roscoe has done well at centre half we need him at right back in order to gove som eattcking options. Proctor doesn't do that with his limited ability and Mihadjuks can slot in at centre half.
