  1. Tiscali are my ISP at the moment but they don't have LLU at my exchange. I will not be staying with them when the contract is up at the end of October. Out of curiosity, which exchange do you connect to? To answer CaleyD's and your question, I'm not in Inverness. I'm just outside Sutton Coldfield.
  2. As CaleyD has said, it mostly depends on how far away you are from your exchange. That and what providers have LLU in that exchange. A provider with LLU will always provide a better service than one using BT OpenReach. I'm reasonably close to our exchange (less than 1 mile), and changed ISP to Tiscali. They offered an upgraded speed and I immediately thought go for it. Worst thing I ever did. They put on an LLU and it HALVED the download speed I was getting beforehand!! I tried umpteen different calls to Tiscali but they just said there was no guaranteed download speed. Needless to say when the contract was up, so was Tiscali....
  3. I've tried the Windows 7 version available and it's much better than Vista. There may be an initial problem with device drivers as it's a new OS, but I'm reassured that most companies will be releasing drivers for their hardware in due course. Official release date is around October I think.
  4. We usually head for Cadgers Brae. Not too far from the ground and just off the M9. Unless someone knows of somewhere better?
  5. Bear in mind that it also affects the top half too. Rangers have had three games at Pittodrie in recent seasons as a result. It would appear that the plan would be for each club to have as close to the equal number of Home and Away over the season, so it can lead to advantages to some clubs when home games are allocated after the split.
  6. Bear in mind Falkirk were without Arfield and Higdon.... Might travel for this one if I can get out of working. Will it be Cadgers Brae for a pre-match aperitif???
  7. And where are the Sesh Army drinking on Saturday??
  8. You know, this is incredible. When did we last have a debate like this on here... The whole thread underlines one thing really. Despite a lack of obvious out-and-out striker, we have MANY various options in all other positions. That is a luxury we didn't have too much before the transfer window. Perhaps that fight for places and the springboard that TB and MM have provided, has led to the resurgence. Yes, there will be setbacks. Yes, we will get points where perhaps we didn't expect them. BUT, collectively as a team and vocal support, as IHE says, with what we have, we WILL battle on to survive. Thanks to a few results going our way, we now have St Mirren and Kilmarnock in our sights. With what we have in our squad, we can catch these two as well.
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless it changed, the gate money from the Cup semis used to be pooled and split 4 ways. Keeping the OF apart would be more beneficial then. Still have to dispose of Falkirk first.
  10. As long as you're not abusing the old folks in question then I couldn't agree more. There are many good comments here about glares and Alex McLeod does indeed hit the nail on the head. How many of us recall the days when Coia got pelters regularly but carried on anyway? Perhaps he was a bit OTT but he and many others too had passion for the team about them. Sadly, doesn't happen too often these days.
  11. Hear hear. Having spoken to TB in the past, he does indeed know his football, and can maybe even coax a few decent players to come North for the rest of the season. Wouldn't take too much to add to what we already have to stay in the SPL.
  12. I've never been a fan of managers returning to old haunts and fully go with not bringing Robbo back. We should have looked to be more forward thinking last time round, but didn't. Look what happened. Time for a fresh face. That said, i'll support whoever gets the job and back the team to SPL safety.
  13. At leasy we won't be playing in Dingwall now... :018: :thumb04:
  14. Whilst it's never good to see any manager sacked, after Saturday's debacle it had to be on the cards. The power of the shoe....
