  1. I thought Rossco had a blinder today, he was shaky last week but played really well today. he was much more positionally astute, put in a good few challenges and got up to support the attack. I hate this weekly abuse of one player, as an excuse for the defeats. Caff was Ok today, the defensive problems dont come from him. Rossco was brilliant. Hastings did make a mistake that cost a goal, but he was alright apart from this. I thought the team played well today, but thought that the inclusion of two very similar forwards, although I think they are our two individually most talented in my opinion was never gonna get us anywhere. I suppose what Im getting at is that maybe its the managements fault for not picking the right team, and getting the best out of a good bunch of players.
  2. I do agree with the main issue of the post that the lack of camaraderie was appaling- i think the team needs a leader who can shout and russel , tokely or black and make them listen.
  3. already 2 posts calling niculae arrogant, and this one saying deano wasnt interested? what are these opinions based on? deano looked hungry and ran as fast as his lil legs can take him, while niculae also looked up for it, not every player may look to be giving their all like bayne or tokely, but there was nothing out there today that i thought suggested arrogance, id have them as the front two next week, for looking dangerous. give them a chance. i think niculae was frustrated as he could have been layed in for shooting chances twice and wasnt, i dont think it was down to his fitness (which obviously needs to improve)
  4. Aye, Niculae is never ment for the hole, and three changes in midfield seems a lot, they played well. I;d maybe take out McBain, replacing him with Hart, Wilson, or Rankin, some choice! and id start Marius and McDonald.
  5. Have to disagree with that comment, he only gave the ball away a couple of times, and won most of his headers had few sharp passes and more importantly looked a real threat from set pieces. Think he got a bit frustrated with McBain and Wyness for not laying him up a couple of times> Think he'd do well with Dean-o up front. I think the team is really crying out for a proper leader to get a bit more cohesion in defence and to stop the lapses that cost the goals. The problem isnt that caff is a far worse a footballer than dods, I think we just miss his shouts and organisation. All in all thought we played good football for most of the match, especially Duncan (!) and Cowie, wasn't at last weeks game but thsi sounds far better.
  6. think this guy is better than a back up! would be an immense signing if we pulled it off!
  7. what?! a thirty six (i think) year old who has no pace and cant do anything with his intelligence as a result, over someone who has just been in the under twetntys and isnt brilliant now, but might be and might offer us a good few years of service?
  8. I have to agree with some of the negative comments- its questionable enough to play McSwegan, but to play him with Bayne, to have two slow and fairly similar strikers up front is really shocking, what are they going to create. Bayne is a fine player that can chase anything down, and make something out of nothing, but he needs someone fast and creative up with him. I really dont think Charlie is the man for the job after recent tactical decisions, especially against Theltic.
  9. This game sounds completely horrible! we are slowly becoming a boring midtable team instead of overachievers, there seems to be no spark in our team at all... fair enough its after the celtic game but the last few months weve been pretty uninspired.
  10. Whats going on? weve scored as many goals in forty minutes as we have in seven games. id love it if we started having more exciting games, high scoring games.harking back to the first division 7-3s! come on boys, keep it up!
  11. '1. Who cares 2. McSwegan aint on loan.' 1.I care. 2.I know.
  12. Henriks going to Man U! Genius. It's just like our signing of McSwegan, a cool, level headed player with bags or experience who can still do the business to prise open a defense with poise and grace...em....
