  1. We've had great expectations before on the back of a flash-in-the-pan sensational result, only to have our hopes dashed. I'm up to a cautious 4 for now.
  2. Up to 2 now, as we currently have a decent record against Ayrshire teams.
  3. Absolutely! Yogi turned a bunch of 2nd rate players into a potent unit that was an absolute joy to watch! (Apologies - off topic)
  4. Still 1 here. We need to start winning for my score to increase. Unfortunately we don't seem to be able to raise our game against the lower teams in the league. (not that there's many below us now!) Except Cove.
  5. Well it wasn't a humping but with a huge incentive to win this one we still managed to lose. That'll be a 1 then, and can't see that changing for the foreseeable.
  6. Just shows what the players are capable of when they choose to rise to the occasion.
  7. When you play a Premiership team you try harder. When you play a wee team you don't bother.
  8. Immediately after the Hamilton drubbing I was probably off the scale, however, having slept on it and considered everything I'm back at 2. Not quite 1 yet but we'll see what happens on Tuesday. Another humping then and I'll be giving up all hope for this season. (All hope for promotion, that is. Hope for avoidance of relegation is another story!)
  9. "Ah'm hurtin'; we're all hurtin.'"
  10. Bearing in mind that a post match-reaction to a pitiful humping might knock a point or 2 off one's score, I would say that after the Queens Park Cup game I'd sunk to a 1, climbing back up to somewhere about the 2 side of between 2 and 3 by the morning of the Livi game - not out of renewed optimism mind you, but more out of a gradual lifting of the Queens Park post-match depression. Similarly, after the Livi game I was away up to 8 but now a more realistic 4 as I realise we're much more likely to raise our game against Livingston than against Hamilton. So to summarise: 2 prior to Livi game 4 now
  11. All in all though, it's a very sad story of the rise and fall of our club. Wonder if we'll rise again. Or was that it?
  12. Think that was when we WON the Scottish Cup, a few years later!
  13. Full time. 6-1 Congratulations to the team! Hope this is the beginning of something good.
  14. Just hope we can hang on . . . .
  15. 5-1 for us!!! Wish I'd gone to the game now.
  16. Sadly the most effective protest is happening right now - consistently poor performances on the pitch lead to falling attendances in the stands. Less income for the club - insufficient funds to keep good players. It seems to me the solution is a more entertaining match-day experience, a few wins for example, and a team that is entertaining to watch. That'll draw the punters in! The thing is, we have some very good players, with great individual skills . . . . . . . !
  17. And would you be the super-rich sugar-daddy the team and fans have been craving? Cos somebody would need to pay for all that!!
  18. There were calls last season for Tokely to be given a shot at management, I think as a result of his extremely insightful comments in the press and on ICTV livestream commentaries. Who knows, Tokely and Esson could be the killer combination we need!
  19. An educated and informed member of the forum, he often managed to bring a bit of common sense to a heated discussion. I too enjoyed his posts and he will be greatly missed.
  20. I love this idea, and see it as the only way forward for our ailing team. Unless of course we can snare a sugar-daddy!
  21. The piggy bank is empty and unless some generous, wealthy donor comes along we'll just have to accept that we're at our level. Best chance is to direct our limited resources to nurturing local talent and bringing youth players through the ranks.
  22. Absolute garbage! Total lack of cohesion. Unable to string passes together. Unable to keep possession. Unable to score more than one goal per match, and usually less. No tactics. No fight. And frankly, I don't buy this "huge injury list" thing - that's been the excuse for the last 3 seasons now. Anybody playing for ICT must have achieved a certain standard before getting in the door. The players on the pitch all have the required individual skills - they just don't seem to be working in the same direction. I've been reluctant to criticise so far, but tonight's shambles just tipped me over the edge. We never looked like winning, even when we were one-up. When I pay to see a game I expect some kind of entertainment for my money. This season I just feel I'm being ripped off!
  23. We got what we deserved. So did Accies.
