  1. Laura was very popular as the previous posts imply. She loved her job and helping/ assisting all supporters. A true Caley Thistle fan. Apparently leaving was not of her choice. She will be missed, as a dedicated staff member with the Clubs best interests at heart will be difficult to replace.
  2. Happy birthday to a very special Neice. Hard to believe ??? years have passed! Enjoy whats left of your day, it is only 3.20 pm over here. will be in touch. Unk canuck.
  3. George Ross.
  4. Made the mistake of watching the game at the local Rangers supporters club decked out in my Caley Thistle shirt and scarf- dog's abuse to say the least! Possibly the worst display I have ever witnessed by any SPL team.
  5. Can't get a ticket for love nor money for a Toronto F.C. game, even as a ''minder'' for a friend who is confined to a wheelchair, sold out forever!
  6. I've been sucking lemons for over 24 hours -- still can't get that smile off my face!!!!
  7. No Connie, I'm a Burlington Ontario Canuck!
  8. Happy Birthday to Jock Watt in Oz -- It's a long way from Laurel Avenue! 75 years is a significant milestone, keep healthy.

  10. Congratulations Tommy Cumming - nice to hear good news for a change. Hopefully I will get a chance to congratulate you in person when I come over in April. Well done! could'nt happen to a nicer guy. L G, will you please see Tommy gets this message? I believe he is a neighbour of yours. thanks.
  11. You tell 'em Eliza!! Sounds like the organization has a real communication problem, all this on top of all the ''on field'' disappointments/ lack of discipline, fans second guessing management, a high profile court appearance and shambolic, laughable stewarding. Please note that I am not being too long winded, perhaps that may change next year when I reach your age!!
  12. Right on davieB! R
  13. Having read so much about Marius and so many different points of view I will have the chance to watch him for the first time on Saturday against the 'Gers on Setanta. Obviously, realistically, one would have expected him to hit the net by now especially against some of the ''minnows'' but before someone replies to me telling me I should'nt voice any opinion never having seen him play, cardboard cut - out supporter etc. I shall be watching him very carefully and will forward my unbiased opinion after the game. Note that I refrained from mentioning his salary!
  14. Jock, you are correct, the name of the youngest ''Nelson'' boy was Henry. The Nelson family lived at the bottom of Laurel Avenue just a few doors up from another well known Dalneigh footballer named Alex. Bowman. Canuck.
  15. Jock, today (Sunday 21st Jan) is your ''old'' girlfriend's birthday -- 70 years young and she can still sing and dance folk half her age off the dancefloor! Enjoyed a big birthday bash at her house last night, approx. 30 people in attendance, family and friends, all in ''good form'' lots of good food, drink and entertainment. Mac (as usual) in good voice giving ''The Big Grand Coolie Dam'' big licks! I'm sure there will be a few ''sare heids''this morning. Can't believe she is 70! The time is just passing too quickly, Regards from Ontario Ex Lilac Grover, Canuck.
  16. Jock, how about naming the other players? I believe big Jim MacGillivary is also in the 'photo, Jim married Rosemary Gray ( a fellow Lilac Grover) Rosemary was my sister's (Kay Lynn) bridesmaid whose golden wedding anniversary will be celebrated this coming March 23rd. I have fond memories of countless hours playing football on Daleigh park, although a couple of years after your ''heroics'' I do remember the MacGillivary brothers, Donnie and Billy Nelson and I'm sure I would recognize a few more faces if you could forward some more names. As I am in contact with quite a few Dalneigh ''exiles'' I'm sure they would love to'' take a walk back down memory lane'' Canuck.
