Trialists (merged)
The line from his current club ..... "Pavels is a strong and commanding presence and can also play football." is encouraging. Given that he's a footballer you would hope so! Have all our other trialists been picking up the ball and running with it

If we somehow stay up this season with losing Black and prob Cowie it would take a miracle to stay up next year with this squad.

http://sport.scotsman.com/football/Struggl...l-to.4837891.jp INVERNESS Caledonian Thistle manager Craig Brewster has made former Scotland captain Steven Pressley an offer to continue his career in the SPL, and the defender could make his debut for the Highland club against Rangers on Sunday. Pressley had received an offer to play in Switzerland earlier in the week, and several lower-league English clubs had also expressed an interest in signing the 35-year-old. But the former Hearts stalwart, who has been a free agent since leaving Danish Superliga club Randers FC when their campaign ended last month, would prefer to stay in Scotland. Pressley's last competitive match was for Randers on 7 December, but Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has allowed him to use the club's training complex at Lennoxtown to keep himself fit. Scotland manager George Burley surprised many by appointing Pressley to the national team's coaching staff when he replaced Alex McLeish last year, but the veteran has always stressed that he wants to keep playing for as long as possible. Brewster is anxious to shore up a rearguard which has leaked 11 goals in their last four games, and he hopes Pressley's experience and organisational skills will stiffen them up at the back after five successive defeats. Inverness are hopeful that Pressley will be training with them tomorrow, and it is believed that Pressley may also be offered a coaching post as part of the deal to tempt him north.

walk out on sunday
not enough people would walk out to make any impact and no one would notice either. a lot of people would want to stay and watch the game, espec is its close, and take into account the amount of rangers fans in our end. Better to get loads of banners on the go. Would be more noticble by far. Get some bed sheets and black marker or paint on them. Easy and would make an impact if loads of people did it

Dont think a mass walk out would work, they have tried that at other clubs and never achieve enough numbers to make it noticeable. To many fans would want to stay and watch the game after paying for a ticket and also our end will prob be full of rangers fans anyway!! We should just get loads of banners made and hold them up just see what happens if they try and confiscate 20+ banners. Get a simple couple of quid bed sheet and write Brewster out on it!

Serious? Caley can not be anything other than a seling club as they can not match the wages that other clubs can and if a player was in such demand they would simply just wait until their contract expires and leave for free if we turned down any offer. Also the club is not rich so many offers would be to good to turn down. Every club in the spl to an extent is a selling club, even the OF if they have a player of such quality will want to leave to play in the premiership and latter stages of the champions league, just look at Cruella (sp?) and Hutton in recent years im sure Rangers would much rather have held on to them.

Gers in for Cowie?
I see Caley every week, well every second week this season, and I say he is to good for rangers! Must mean he is moving to the premiership!

If Hearts were to try and take him in January I would imagine they would offer about ?50-80k. Would it be a good idea to take the money since he is going to be leaving anyway or better to turn it down and hope that he can help us stay up, which would be worth more to the club than the fee anyway?? Would he still give 100% untill may? Been in this position before with Dods who gave his all until he left.

http://sport.scotsman.com/football/Hearts-...ract.4821033.jp HEARTS have reached an agreement to sign the Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Ian Black. The former Blackburn Rovers trainee, who has been in the Highlands since 2004, held pre-contract discussions with Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo last midweek. The outcome of those talks was positive; Black has in principle accepted a contract which will run until the summer of 2012. The 23-year-old is expected to put pen to paper in Edinburgh on Sunday having also already undergone a medical at Hearts' Riccarton training centre. Hibernian had earlier held discussions with Black, a former ballboy at Tynecastle whose father, also Ian, played for Hearts between 1977 and 1980. It is thought the terms on offer by Hearts significantly outweighed those put forward by their city rivals, although those close to the player insist his decision was with professional development in mind. Hearts will now attempt to prise Black from Inverness during next month's transfer window; his current deal expires at the end of the season. It is thought Caley Thistle could demand up to ?100,000 for Black's early release, Craig Brewster also mindful that another of his midfielders, Don Cowie, is wanted by Rangers and Dundee United. Black's imminent arrival will trigger further speculation about the midfielders currently at Laszlo's disposal. In what is the strongest area of the Hungarian's squad, Laryea Kingston, Christos Karipidis and Bruno Aguiar have all been linked with January moves. Kingston is almost certain to depart while Karipidis has been linked with a return to Greece. Aguiar's high salary ensures any overtures for his services are likely to be considered by the Hearts hierarchy.

Gers in for Cowie?
Theres a good chance though that someone would sign him on a pre-contract in january though. I really think the rangers thing is a load of tosh and nothing will come of that.
-
Gers in for Cowie?
There is a good chance Cowie could leave but realisticaly it is never going to be Rangers, even if Smith was impressed with him in one game that doesnt mean he has any intention of even looking at him again. More likely he would move to a Dundee Utd or Hibs. Also there would be no 'deal' as he would be going on a free transfer so we would get sod all for him
-
Gers in for Cowie?
http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/ho...icle2063814.ece The Sun has Dundee Dtd as wanting Cowie on a free transfer as well as Hibs and Hearts after Black on a free aswell

Robbo in charge to face Motherwell?
It just seems since then that more people are in favour of him and calling for him to be manager as if he would be some saviour! Can't remember this much pro-Robbo before
-
Robbo in charge to face Motherwell?
I dont think I would be for Robbo returning, we have already tried a past manager and it is not working. A completely fresh approach would be better, too many people criticised him when he left, his tactics, fitness and even if he has the club to heart doesnt mean he would be a success. CC has the colub at heart but struggled. It seems that since Robbo came on the board everyone is almost sucking up to him and calling for him to be manager where there wasnt as many calling for him before hand.
