  1. Yeah , i just listened the Radio report What happened was they told Steve Marsella to take Ross off so he put up number 11 for Nick Ross but he wanted Ross Draper off. Oops
  2. Certainly won;t be Hampden as it closes on Nov 16 till after Commonwelth Games
  3. Walter Smith and Ally McCoist came to TCS several times when incharge of the national side and even played a futures game here against Turkey with Dargo and Black playing for Scotland
  4. The people on here slagging Hearts are obviously not aware that under 15 years ago we were close to going out of business and without help from outside forces we would not have a team to support. And before the question is asked, yes, it was because our club was being badly run at the time and spending money we didn't have. Scottish football has a long and precious history that Hearts are very much a part of and, just like us at our time of trouble, the fans had little say in how a club was run. Support Hearts and Dunfermline at this time as it could be us next.
  5. Just a couple of points. The second half showing of St Mirren and how they dealt with the wind just shows how well we played in the first half. Secondly the media is going to cover games and stories that have most amount of public interest. In a country that has a population of 5.5 million and less than a 6th of that live in the Highland area, ourselves, and Ross C*unty will be the last to be covered on T.V and in the papers. Not good but how things are its supply and demand.
  6. 1. Nairn 2. Nairn 3. Nairn County against Caley/ Clach/ Thistle late 60's with my Dad and Brother. 4. Nairn again after a long spell in West Yorkshire. Came back in '94 for CT first league season (well not for that but it was a happy coincidence).

All in all a good workout but can't read to much into it. Some of the football we played was very pleasing to the eye with Christie and McKay linking well in the first half. Vincent looks good and solid. Special mention for Liam Polworth who looked very good in central midfield. Brill only had one save to make from a 30yd speculative shot. Ah its good to have football back!
  8. I hope for the same as I do every SPL/SPFL season and that is to still be there next season. At times last season I think we punched very much above our weight but think we can do as well as, if not better, than last season and a visit to Hampden for a cup final would be a bonus.
  9. A friend of mine in Worcester says we have approached Hereford keeper James Bittner.
  10. But if you say we are replacing a Rangers reserve team reject and a player who couldn't get into a Championship side and was released a year before his contract ended it dosen't seem such a task to replace them does it? Thats what we signed when Andy and OTJ came on board.
  11. It is quite obvious in various sections of the Forum that many posters on here do not visit the away grounds. Several SPL clubs have only 3 stands open, several clubs (Celtic, Hearts, Hibs, Killie to name just 4 that I can think of just now) have no parking facilities for away fans, and the number of fans at St Johnstone are a disgrace to Perth which has a much higher population than Inverness. St Mirren also have a very poor following. ICT have plenty parking for all fans - the ground is easy to get to, both by car and on foot from bus/train station. What else does Dougal want? Why does this Forum only have "like this" and no "boo" tick box. "Perth which has a much higher population than Inverness " , really ? Perth approx. 45000 inverness approx 59000
  12. Compensation for what? Having the most successful season in the clubs history? Keep the pre-season to whatever the club can afford and for those who want the club to provide a holiday iternary for them........ why not come to the Highlands of Scotland and tour towns like Brora, Wick and Inverness and then travel to exotic Morayshire and visit Buckie, Banff and Elgin all of which have bars in which you can embarass yourselves.
  13. Just as it says on the tin...................Thank You. I have just witnessed a season that has given me pleasure and hope and I want to say thank you. Despite what some threads and posts seem to suggest, we have just seen the most successful season in our short but eventful history and even though finances were very tight the management team put together a side I was proud to support.... Thank you! The players have grouped and bonded like no other squad we have seen and have given their all for the cause........... Thank you! The Board have run the club in a sensible way and have listened to the fans despite, at times, causing financial detriment to the club.........Thank you! To the general public of Inverness and the highland region.........You do not deserve this club or team and when we are having inquests into the apparent "failure" of not qualifying for Europe it is in this direction the finger should be well and truly pointed..............No thanks in this direction. I look forward to follow our club next season (and many more after that thanks to the way the club is run) which is more than can be said for fans of much bigger clubs than ours who don't know if they will have a club to follow.
  14. I was speaking to one of the M K Dons boys (he seemed on his own) and he was talking about Johnny Russell and MacKay-Steven and never mentioned Aaron
  15. Or "If I can get back into the squad while at ICT I'll stay"
  16. The problem is that refereeing is so poor in most matches his performance could be called average.
  17. Don't normally post after games but have to make the point that C*unty are very one dimentional and play route one football. Without wishing anything bad on Ryan it was nice to see Toni back between the sticks.
  18. When did he sign for Liverpool? If he was registered by Liverpool by then he would not appear on a SFA suspension list as he was registered by the FA. There are other players who had moved on to other clubs and it says beside their suspension (Formerly of Club X) so it should still be detailed in this as it is a list of suspensions. Not trying to be annoying but I think the player (formally of) did not register in another country but were simply unregistered having left or been let go by clubs.
  19. Jackie McNamara named Dundee United manager
  20. When did he sign for Liverpool? If he was registered by Liverpool by then he would not appear on a SFA suspension list as he was registered by the FA.
  21. "Regardless of the situation, under FIFA transfer rules and SFA/SPL/SFL rules he would not have been suspended for the LC semi regardless. This is backed up by 1) the aforementioned rules 2) the suspension list issued by the SFA last week 3) clarification by HoMFC to the SFA last week." Hasn't it already be stated on here that any player who's registration has been held outside Scotland for over 12 months would not show on any SFA suspensions and it was the clubs responsibility to check for suspensions held for players in these circumstances. Not as simple as they think.
  22. Apologies if I am wrong but were STV not running a piece last night confirming "Wilson was eligable"? This seems to have disapeared.
  23. For me it has to be Billy. At least Rooneys went forward after it left his foot (but mostly sideways)
  24. Because the suspension was specific to the Scottish League Cup I undrestand that. The point I am making is that if the people are saying the suspension may have been in the first game of the following season when he was at Liverpool when he played games in Scotland after the final so the ban was for the Scottish League Cup only
  25. After being sent off in the final Wilson played a Scottish Cup game against Dundee United and a SPL game against Hearts (he scored) so why would the suspension be held over till the start of the next season. Also as said by many other posters the ban says "1 Scottish League Cup game".
