  1. Do you actually believe things written in the paper? Did Craig Brown nearly miss out on Hayes because the club went announcing it too early?? That has made me laugh i have to say, thought you knew Craig Brown personally the way you quoted that. Instead you believe things written by Scottish Sports Journalists Don't know him personally but saw the man give the press conference with my own eyes. Also Craig Brown contacted ICT to tell them he would be speaking to Hayes long before the "announcement". Don't have to believe anyone if you see and hear it with your own eyes.
  2. I don't know who your source close to Aberdeen is but I will quote Craig Brown as my source. He seems pretty close to Aberdeen. In answer to a journalist asking about A. Shinnie, Paw Broon said " We have had no contact with anyone in connection to this player." Arron Doran turned Aberdeen down before signing for us, whats the difference now? oh yea we're much better now. If you know anything about Craig Brown the first person who would know about any interest in ICT players would be Terry Butcher. Just check back at the Hayes saga.
  3. its believed Barnsley have approched Maurice Malpas and Steve Marsella after been turned down by Terry Butcher
  4. Re-arranged for 13th Febuary with 19:45 k.o
  5. Didn't know whether to post this or not but the source is usually very reliable. Apparently Barnsley contacted Terry via a third party (possibly Kevin Beattie) on Sunday to see if he would be interested. Terry asked very few questions and told them to contact ICT chairman. One question that was asked was "Is it just me, or all the coaching staff?". The Barnsley director involved was non- commital on this but asked if TB would meet with owners and directors. The rest is well documented.
  6. Barnsley have had 10 permanent managers in the last 12 years plus numerous caretaker managers. Dosen't sound like a club with a long term plan of any kind.
  7. Didn't they beat us 3-1 at TCS during this period?
  8. Barnsley fans ain't that happy. One quote on "Tykes Mad" forum says " I would rather dig up Pat Butcher and give her the job". Owen Coyle is their favorite and they are pretty sure Terry will turn them down anyway.
  9. They were confident that O'Driscoll was going to accept and described it as a body blow to the club when he turned them down. Did Barnsley really say "good vibe" in a statement??
  10. "Barnsley will contact TB within the next 48hrs to discuss the job of manager" The club have given permission to speak so it would be rude not to listen and to make a statement before speaking to them. The club and TB will behave in the manner they always do and whatever happens it will be done the right way and not by giving off the cuff statements and issuing sound bites to please the media
  11. I've been watching SSN all afternoon. Not heard any mention of Billy McKay.
  12. No point speculating on our next manager till anything happens. There would be no shortage of applicants if Terry does go. How often does a manager get the chance to go to a team lying second in the league, in one semi-final of a cup and in the last sixteen of another? Now having looked at that why would TB want to go?
  13. If Butcher does go, hopefully, he would care enough for the club not to take any players with him.
  14. Not dis-believing the original poster but I have only found one poster on Aberdeen Mad. Which forums is this on?
  15. Rumour from Wrexham Season Ticket Holder friend is that we are in for the 19 y.o Belfast born central defender. Wreham web-site says he is away and a free agent. Friend says he is a talent has pace, good in the air and scores a few goals. Young Irishman ponders his future. The Club can confirm that while we have made a long-term offer to Danny Devine, it looks likely that the player will be heading away from the Racecourse. After completing a loan period from Fleetwood Town and then being released by the Fylde club, Danny is a free agent and able to sign for any team, now that the transfer window has re-opened. Late in the day he has received contact from other clubs and he is reviewing his options before making a commitment. We had hoped that the Belfast-born defender would have agreed to remain at Wrexham, but at this stage, that seems unlikely, with clubs from higher up the footballing ladder showing an interest. Wherever Danny finally ends up, we thank him for his contribution over the last three months and wish him well in his future career.
  16. Don't know why we are berating C*unty about a postponment. If you ask the fans of Celtic, St Johnston or Q o t S they would brand us as "the joke of the Highlands". Postponments happen.
  17. Bad day at the office. Motherwell were in our faces straight from the off and were set out to bypass our midfield. Tactically they knew what to do and please don't let our bad play take anything away from Motherwell, they were outstanding today. Too many of our players off form in the same game. Missed Ross Draper but lets not get carried away with this. If anyone had offered me top six after 14 games they would have teeth marks in their wrist. Last time we lost to Motherwell we went on an unbeaten run. No panicing please
  18. Citizens Advice Bureau hold papers and will help you fill them in.
  19. With regards to Phillip Roberts yesterday. I know he gave the ball away alot (as did A. Shinnie and Doran and others) but his positioning and space awareness infront of Ryan McGowan stopped one of Hearts biggest form of attack getting into the game. I'm sure T.V coverage won't show this side of the game but from the Main Stand it was obvious a job he had been given. The romour about sickness in the side could answer alot of questions about some players (Foran spent most of the last 5 mins not moving stood with his hands on his hips). The old saying of " The sign of a good side is getting something from a game you don't play well in" very much applies to yesterday. Last season we would have lost that game.
  20. Not sure but thought we had games against Motherwell at home and Celtic and Aberdeen away before thinking about C*unty.
  21. The SFA keep getting mentioned on this thread but I thought this was the League Cup and under the juristiction of Mr Longmuir and co. I cannot understand why the ill feeling about Easter Road. If we were playing Celtic at Hampden (less than two miles between the grounds) would we object. Also this is not news as the SFL said only one semi would be at Hampden. Don yer kilts and lets enjoy another historical day in the short but brilliant history of the Highlands number 1 club.
