  1. The only person I see with over expectations is John Hughes and his "Barcelona" and " Educate " comments. All I expect is honest players being played to their strengths. I don't expect too much and the "Club of our size" is a false argument. We are similar to 50 per cent of all Premiership clubs and all I expect is honesty and commitment. I have posted about Yogi's comments just after he took over and other subsequent interviews. So just to reiterate all I expect is honesty and effort.
  2. My wife and I have been ST holders for years and we also fully sponsor a player but conversations at this time are not positive about spending our money on something we have no faith in. Even in the very dark days of Brewsters reign I always had hope and even when relegated I had hope, but now....................
  3. Let's not gloat too much. We have hardly set the heather alight since he left and they are not down YET! He could still come back to haunt us.
  4. See Hibs have blocked TV coverage for tomorrow's game.
  5. Not the clubs decision about terracing, I'm afraid. Also if the ambition is to qualify for Europe we need all seating.
  6. If Hibs don't win am I right in saying that in his managerial career in Scotland, all three clubs he has managed will have finished his first season with the worst record in the league. Motherwell bottom (stayed up because of Falkirk's ground), ICT bottom and relegated and Hibs ( saved by Hearts points deduction?

I don't think we have the money or the time to do what Andy did for Nicky sadly Steve May did it himself when on loan at Alloa. Went to them like a pipe cleaner and came back like Stig of the Dump with muscles
  8. I see Manchester City are sending some sort of team north to play in Dundee. Could be a plan?
  9. I see Dundee have signed Phillip Roberts. Don't put him on penalties.
  10. I remember being in the Gellions after the draw at home to Falkirk and the Falkirk fans telling me we had blown it. The next week at Cumbernauld the thing I remember is Keough scoring and taking his shirt off, and then when Hissy scored he did the same but appeared to have a dirty grey vest on. I also remember Clyde were a team of big strong players who took no prisoners.
  11. I was at the game and the 2nd half spirit was the least I expected after being 2-0 down. Our keeper, defence and defensive midfield look very short of confidence and this led to the two goals. Sorry but I going to upset some people on here but the defence of Hughes is weak and getting weaker. Sighting an alright 35 mins against a lacklustre Divedee United and a spirited 2nd half which still ended up in a loss does not fill me with confidence for next season. One thing from last night that is making me smile is a rumour that Vigurs was allegedly punched by a team mate after the game and it wasn't MacManus.
  12. Was it Jimmy Calder?
  13. The way I have read it the seven he is speaking to are the ones who have a year left on their contract, Shinnie, McKay etc.
  14. I think it's Manchester United. Doing well then manager goes, wrong man given job, results nose dive, fans divide.
  15. Yes, just as we all should expect him to do. Why should we expect him to do? I recall a speech made by a manager that had just taken over a team sitting second in the league saying " If it's not broken, why try to fix it?". He then said if nobody noticed any change at the club he would have done a good job. Erm..................
  16. Just a thought but finishing above Divedee United would not only mean an extra £82000 in prize money but we would enter the League Cup a round later if St J's win the cup and get into Europe.
  17. Just this game or the season in general?
  18. Injury and illness is the official line
  19. I'll be at our last 3 games giving my full support to the team, as I always am, but this does not stop me having major concerns over the way the results have nose dived since mid December and it does not stop me cringing virtually every time our manager gives an interview. This is a fans forum and as fans we have the rite to give our opinions and if some opinions don't follow the party line why threaten to shut it down. If certain posters are being abusive ban them not everyone. In response to say the number of people calling for Hughes to be sacked is the minority, I agree, but so is the number of people wanting him to stay, the majority of people are unsure due to length of time in job measured against bad results.
  20. Some people on here as seeing this as black and white. Disloyal v Happy Clappers. I am very worried about the way the team has performed under Hughes and some of the statements he has made and I am not convinced he is the man for OUR club, but I have two season tickets, sponser a player and hold a small number of shares. I don't expect to win every week but I do hope for a level of effort and manager who is willing to admit mistakes and see what is best for the team and club and supporters. Under Hughes I feel the hope draining from me. Two wins over C'unty, a win at Aberdeen and a semi- final roller coaster are the only plus points since mid December and the negatives are too many to list. Do I want Yogi to succeed? He'll yes. He succeeds our club succeeds. Do I think he will? Sorry but no. Nothing inspires me with hope.
  21. Turn it on its head. Could he have done any worse?
  22. Andy Shinnie won't becoming back here but don't count him out of coming back to Scotland
  23. No money was available to sign Adam Rooney when TB was keen to sign him in January. From what I am lead to believe the reason for this is that this seasons contracted players budget was spent and Petrie wanted a loan move until the end of the season.
  24. I disagree that it would make business sense for ICT to sell both Graeme Shinnie or Nick Ross in the summer... especially to Hibs! If both players sign long term contracts at ICT and their form rises, bigger teams than Hibs will be interested and make a bigger offer then it would make business sense to sell and also better career moves for Shinnie and Ross.[/quote If you read what I posted it says if they do not sign extensions it would make business sense. If they do sign up for longer of course it makes no sense to sell
  25. This is a myth that Hibs have no money. Money will be made available if Butcher asks for it within reason. Both these players will be in the last year of their contracts and if they do not sign extensions and the right money was offered it would make business sense to sell.
