  1. There's no chance of us overspending and we have Harper and Deas who can play LB. That's possibly the last area that's needs more players. I can see us looking at a CB (to replace Mckay), maybe a RB (so Carson can return to midfield and Duffy could act as a CB), an attacking midfielder and I guess we are looking at two strikers now.
  2. Agree 100%. The "Aye but what about them" justification is lazy.
  3. Toddy signs for Dunfermline...
  4. Feels a bit "horse, stable door" but better late than never I guess... https://ictfc.com/2021-22-squad-update
  5. The rumour suggests that Toddy was offered a deal by the club but he turned it down. Seems he wants to move back to the central belt for family reasons.
  6. I know it's easy to complain about things and clearly the club are...antiquated...off the pitch however I am struggling to think of a reason why we have not had an update on players leaving the club or season tickets. instead we are left to the players themselves to reveal that they have left the club through screenshots of their notes app on their phone. I see from @hislopsoffsideagain on Twitter that we are one of four clubs in the SPFL not to have released any kind of update on player movements. Says it all really.
  7. There's a worrying pattern emerging (again) where we are not bothering our backsides to communicate with players about new deals. Whilst I respect @Yngwie's comment earlier about two sides to every story it's hard not to fall down on the side of the players given the number of times this has happened. Players finding out through social media or newspapers they won't be getting a deal or being left voicemails and then not replying to follow up calls or simply not being spoken to at all. It's pathetic.
  8. Training starts tomorrow I think and there will be players who are out of contract who don't know if they should be there or not. Laughable stuff really.
  9. Miles Storey has posted on social media that he is assuming he will be off as no contract offer has been received and no one from the club has been in touch with him. Really poor to leave players in limbo like this and it wouldn't take much to reach out to them. There are plenty of rumours swirling around who has gone and who might be gone but some clarification from the club would be welcome.
  10. Going OT but one thing that cannot be said about (John) Hughes is that he isn't a good coach.
  11. I'm sure I have a duvet cover that looks like that. Still though, I quite like it even if it reminds me of a Dundee shirt.
  12. Gardyne and Mckay were still playing regularly and performing well in the Premiership last season. Sutherland came up from League 2. Bit of a difference.
  13. Gardyne was still one of Ross County's best players last season and most of their fans wanted him around for another year. He could be an outstanding player for us even if it's just for a season. Doran, Walsh, MacDonald and Gardyne will possibly playing in the wide areas is a lovely thought.
  14. Must confess to feeling similar ahead of the new season. Having already given the club extra money at the end of the 2019/20 season and then paid more money per game than PPV purchasers last season I am extremely reluctant to part with any more money unless I can get to games. Even if the new ICTTV setup is better than Pixellot that's not enough for me. If I buy a season ticket I want to go to games. If there is any chance of not getting to games I don't see myself renewing.
  15. "With a neat little flick and a wink of the eye..."
  16. Deal now confirmed. Three year contract for Mckay and he gets to move back to the central belt. Win win for him really.
  17. He could have some tape or previous reports to look at I guess. Maybe Felitciano Zschusschen can get his agent to send in a YouTube highlights compilation again.
  18. Yeah I think the two will be working together with Robbo making the final call as you say.
  19. So you don't think that Dodds will have any say on who comes in or goes out?
  20. Disappointing that the first time Todorov actually shows that he merits a run in the team he leaves.
  21. Positives - there was definitely an uptick in form when Dodds came on board towards the end of last season and the players poke highly of him during his time working with them. The club must have liked what they saw during his brief spell as a coach. At least it's more "progressive" than going for some of the donkeys on the list including some former managers that were being banded about. Negatives - it seems like an appointment of convenience what with him living locally and being available for buttons and I just wonder how much that factors into our decision making at times. As a coach yes everything sounds good but as a manager I am less sure. He'll have a good bit of work to do in the transfer market over the summer and he only has a few weeks to get things ready before the League Cup group stages kick off. I guess Robbo will still largely handle player recruitment?
  22. It's Dodds.
  23. Plenty of rumours going about. Strongest one seems to be some kind of Cowie and Dodds combo with Robbo overseeing things.
  24. That's an exceptionally selfish attitude. You're essentially asking other leagues to dilute the competitiveness of them just so teams higher up the food training can use them as a training exercise. If you have young players you want to see getting game time play them or loan them out.
  25. The general theme tends to have been the second and first second seed meet in the last game at the 1st seeds ground. No idea about the rest.
