  1. One year contract for Martin Laing announced in the Highland News. I actually thought he was already signed up. Good opportunity for another one of our young players.
  2. Suspect blue would have been a better choice of seating and roof colour to blend in better with the academy building. That must be the structure that the staggies have been moaning about as it will be on tv during games :-)
  3. Digressing briefly - I have a signed team sheet from the 70's when Urquhart was at Rangers and it clearly says Glasgow Rangers on the letter head (and a nice raised sketch of the old Ibrox main stand) - maybe there has always been something going on.... Returning to topic - now it appears the SFL clubs knifes are out for them also....
  4. If true and not a wind-up - then the whole brand 'ICT' strategy does not really have a sound footing. I agree it should always be red and blue stripes and whatever is the latest vogue for variations. Guess the decision was made before the club listened to the fans. God help us if we turn into the new Rangers next season.... PS -
  5. Maybe they only visit Killie once before the split....
  6. A number of potential options - personally styles 2 and 6 but if going to be predominately blue and keeping the stripes then maybe style 3 if you made all the vertical stripes red....
  7. Scotty - the new 2012/13 prices (before tax) are: Home Shirt - 375 Away Shirt - 275 Training Top - 125 Boots - 125 Gloves - 125 There was an early bird deal but that only ran to the 10-Jun for those renewing but all last year's sponsorships have been reserved until 2-Jul-12 to allow people more time to decide as to whether they want to renew. Myself and Cal's Thistle will take one each and get the ball rolling....
  8. Nope - but if they are in SFL1 then yes and I think there will be no shortage of others who are out of contract either who may look at it as an opportunity.
  9. A new experience for Rangers fans next season - the Challenge Cup. Seemingly they will still get at least one derby with a revamped Glasgow Cup. As you say now the challenge is to get a team to be able to play in them but I am sure there are several who will take the plunge. A certain Mr Black may now be just the type of player that they will be looking at.
  10. CD I would tend to agree with you but we know how from small acorns oak trees grow especially with today's spin doctors and a willing media that will support it. To stretch the analogy to breaking point the seed has been planted. This SFL1 solution I believe (and as bdu98196 stated it 'reeks') is what both the SPL and SFL suits want and their challenge is how do they achieve it in less than four weeks....and whether we believe it or not their next step is to get the SFL clubs on board. The dilema that Scottish Football has got itself into is because of a lack of clear direction when the current events took shape and historically planning for such an event and more so when the probability of such an outcome became more likely. Whatever solution is eventually realised there will still be a large percentage unhappy whether it is SPL fans, SFL fans, club chairmen etc etc. This is no different from other businesses going through harsh times as it means sacrifices and compromises are going to have to be made. Unfortunately those leading scottish football at the different levels have to date shown that they do not have the ability to do so either individually or collectively.
  11. Now if what is being reported is correct a deal has been done with the suits at the SFL.... But if you read the different views there are many who don't want them in Division 1 for obvious reasons. Then there are those who are giving the reasons why they should not be in Division 3 (ground safety, policing costs etc). Happy compromise Division 2? I always believed that the SFL1 scenario was always going to be on the cards and all that was going to be needed was the paperwork and agreements to allow it to happen. I might not agree with it but it looks like that is what will now happen.... So who is going to replace them and more importantly what is the detail behind the SFL deal that was made (and what will the new SPL deal look like - I suspect not much will change for ICT as SPL and SFL1 games will become part of an expanded TV package with additional monies going to the SFL teams). But maybe just maybe ICT may get some increased revenue out of this whole sorry debacle.
  12. Still can't see how sky could pull out completely when they still have contractual obligations to provide feeds to other networks for next season.
  13. Decision to be announced on Monday rumour filtering through?? Let's see....
  14. The more you read about the players TUPE fiasco, the 2012/13 season tickets money fiasco, the fighting fund squabbling, the last ditch SFL deal etc the more you can see that somebody never did their homework properly. I know some on here are dyed in the wool when it comes to Rangers and everything associated with the club but I actually do feel sorry for a lot of the decent Rangers fans who are seeing their club being torn apart. For what it's worth I work with a couple and they all believe that they should take the medicine and start in the 3rd but also that proper rulings are put in place should this happen again. Like the banking scandal previously the people who should be punished are those who are behind this. I for one am hoping there will be a full investigation (and made public) so that those who were behind this scheme are fully exposed. All this bus and who was driving the bus analogy is just people trying to deflect blame for what many must have known was illegal from the outset. PS - I don't believe they should be in the SPL next season either but I know that if this type of stuff was revealed as going on behind the scenes at my club I would not be happy either.
  15. What about the Willie Carr free kick? OR MotD Action Replay -
  16. Details for the Coventry City game on the official site now http://ictfc.com/news/team-news/521-sky-blues-for-inverness-friendly
  17. So with Jones and Hogg agreeing to new contracts that only leaves Hayes and Gillet still to clarified whether staying or leaving. So far 4 re-signed 4 gone and 2 no word - now the re-signing of a certain J.Hayes later to day would be a good end to the week.... 1. Ryan Esson (announced signed 2-year contract - 17-May-12) - STAY 2. Thomas Piermayr (rejected new contract - 01-Jun-12) - GONE 3. Ross Tokely (joined Ross County 1-year contract - 06-Jun-12) - GONE 4, Owain Tudur Jones (agreed to sign new contract) - STAY 5. Chris Hogg (agreed to sign new contract) - STAY 6. Jonny Hayes 7. 20. Im not sure where you getting your distance from, but inverness to Glasgow is about 170 miles, Kilmarnock must be another 25-30 miles past that As the crow flies I assume - u got the point though I guess ;-)
  21. Damn that 'Club 12' - we are back in the bottom six and the season has not even started.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/scottish-premier/table
  22. Meester Shiels - none of that 'sucking diesel' for you then this morning Let the train take the strain.... PS - Kilmarnock to Wrexham - 190 miles - Kilmarnock to Inverness - 134 miles - there is no need to go to Wrexham - a match against Lancaster City should sufffice (128 miles) - just think what you will save on fuel for your 'poor' club
  23. Looks like it is a 3pm ko on Saturday 21st July....with Coventry also playing a game against Ross County at Clach Park on the 18th July http://www.coventryt...92746-31221759/
  24. Scotty - is it one win in eleven so far but three players arrested outside pub in Houston on Monday evening - it wasn't an Irish one per chance - interesting season for TFC so far....
  25. So Coventry City it is then at TCS - anybody remember that brown and pink away strip they once had. Every time I think of it Ian Wallace and Ginger Perm seems to spring to mind ;-)
