New Striker
I am sorry, and this may make me sound like I should be on the "delusions of grandeur" thread but if he is no better than what is already at Ayr, he is certainly no better than what is at ICT !!! Agree with Caley100 on this ... some of the names being bandied about are either ludicrous or steeped in nostalgia. Foran will score goals, Rooney will score goals, Odhiambo will score goals and even Barrowman may score goals if he finally steps up a gear (release him or sell him if not). If we get Sanchez then he may be a vital cog in making that happen. Dont panic after one sh**** performance !!!!

Radio Coverage - MFR
Doubt that Caithness FM will interfere with MFR on AM as noted in the post. If not, or if you are out of the transmission area there is also the online option .....

Radio Coverage - MFR
According to MFR - "Our Moray Firth Radio am feed is available online and can accessed by anyone in the UK" so we will add this to the matchday thread links. It is not clear whether this will work outside the UK and I have no way to check at the moment but there will be an easy way to find out on matchdays !!! Our VPN subscribers should also not have a problem.

Radio Coverage - MFR
I have received a message about MFR's football coverage that we have been asked to publicise ..... as it may benefit our site users, we are happy to do so ..... MFR are moving their sports show to 1107 am to allow maximum coverage across our transmission area and will focusing heavily on Caley Thistle, Ross County, Elgin City and the Highland League as ever, with preview, half time, full time and live updates. We covered every game home and away last season and will continue to do this next season, even down to the likes of Ayr and Dumfries and hopefully get in a post-match interview with Big Terry Show starts next Saturday. Not sure if this is going to be available online, but I have asked for clarification. At the very least it is good news for those in the MFR broadcast area who will have an alternative to Radio Scotland where our coverage may be minimal to say the least !

Sfl Prediction League
Just a quick reminder that this starts with the Dunfermline game. We have had a few people signup and a few returning members getting their choices in early ..... so dont forget to get your predictions in before this game :023: A few weeks ago we deleted old accounts from this league. These were accounts where users hadnt predicted for most of last season. We left in those who had predicted regularly to save them from having to sign up again. To further clean up the active participant list for this competition, we will be cleaning the accounts again after the first game and leaving behind only those who have predicted for the Dunfermline game (and beyond) ... so another reason to get your predictions in !

Player Of The Year Poll
viewed 177 times now and 36 votes total. The main reason for this is probably the fact that we ask that only those who were actually at the game cast a vote. Some of the page views will be from people looking but not voting (like me). As this is the first game of the season that is eligible for votes, and we have some new posters on here since the end of last season, here is a quick reminder of why we do it this way, how we check, and what we do with those who try to skew the poll: Why we do it this way As a bit of a throwback to our days as the Official website of the club, this is the only external player of the year award that is routinely recognised in the official club stats. They will probably be excluded one day (when Ian stops doing the stats) but until then, we will continue to do our damnedest to ensure the integrity of the award. We only allow those who were at the game to vote as those watching on TV or via highlights packages, or listening on the radio/internet may not see or hear everything that is going on around them. The camera will inevitably focus on the action yet there may be some good performances that go largely un-noticed. It is also true to say that the opinions of commentators can cloud your own judgement. As there will be little or no TV, Radio or Internet coverage this season this should not be as huge an issue as it could be in the SPL, but voting based on someone else's Tweets falls into the no-no category too How (and what) we check Whilst the voting is largely done on an "honour" system, trusting people to vote genuinely, we will routinely run a check on every single POY poll to ensure their integrity. We will look for users who vote for the same people week in and week out regardless of performance, we will look for people who give the same player all 3 sets of votes, we will look for those who were logged into the site or chatroom at the time of the game and therefore not at the stadium, we will look for those who voted 5 or 10 minutes after the game yet do not appear to be voting from a mobile device, so basically we will look for any irregularities in the poll. What we do if we believe the poll was manipulated This is pretty straightforward. If we feel you are attempting to manipulate the poll using any of the methods mentioned above then we will simply remove your ability to vote in ANY polls on the site unless we are satisfied with your explanation. We realise mistakes happen and as stated in the opening part of each POY thread we can correct those mistakes if you let us know, but if you try to be sleekit about it and cheat, then quite simply, those are the consequences.

Livingston FC
according to BBC Airdrie will come back up to Div 1 and Cowdenbeath will go up to Div 2 but there will be no time to add a team to Div 3 which will run with 9 teams http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...ton/8171390.stm Personally, I dont see the problem ..... They are taking the teams that were 'next in line' during the playoffs so why not just go back to those who were 'next in line' when the last teams were added to the SFL and see if they are still interested and in a position to join ? If not, ask the next team etc etc ... I am sure there are a few who would be interested, and who have their act together to join D3 at short notice.

for about the 100th time of answering questions like this........ The ICT squad list on the official site is not produced by ICT but by a third party stats company. They are frequently slow in updating it and worse still, often get things wrong !

yeah, like normal, the other pundits were being a little condescending and showing up their zero knowledge about other European teams (like Steau). Robbo displayed some knowledge and when given the "how do you know that" treatment, credited you, as the one who brought Marius to ICT as being his font of knowledge
