  1. what absolute nonsense. (not your statement LG, the reasoning) ..... guess I must be in grave danger every week when this one (supplied by the club) starts making its way round BMO field [attach=1] [attach=2]
  2. hope he doesnt send that ... its 12 goals in 28 appearances ...... :004:
  3. possibly :rotflmao:

    Club Nickname

now that we are in the SPL it seems from newspaper/media reports that our 'name' tends to be Inverness or Inverness CT and our nickname is any one of Caley, Thistle, or Caley Thistle agree with others that say a nickname develops ..... on the club info page we list the nickname as "Caley Jags"
  5. No. the Rangers players are not there to be abused, they are there to play football. Abuse and swearing does not equal atmosphere. You can have a singing section that rips the **** out of the opposition without it becoming (extremely) abusive but if you are abusing the players and exacerbating that abuse by adding on copious amounts of swearing then you deserve to be chucked out.
  6. To be fair, he wasnt bad. seemed to be up for this game. thats the point, it upsets and annoys the opposition players. dont get confused though - goalmouth was covered in confetti that the club blasted out of cannons at the start of the game, it was corner flag area where the streamers mostly landed. Claudio Reyna (ex-Rangers) is probably the only player on an opposition team who went down to the corner and wasnt fazed - guess when you are an important player at Rangers (with your very important work permit) nothing fazes you !!! For the LA game, Landon Donovan was the target as earlier in the week he had called on Toronto fans to "bring it on" when asked about how he would deal with the 'hostile' reception that awaits away players ..... thats why many of the streamers were pink
  7. Danny Dichio has agreed to DJ the end of season "U-Sector" supporters club event - should be excellent. supposedly he learned to DJ a few years ago and does it as a hobby !
  8. At the end of the day, online petitions like these have zero impact on who they are aimed at. It is our little way of asking for and receiving solidarity from our own and other teams' supporters. What is more important is that Alan Savage and David Stewart have all their facts, figures and reasons ready for the appeal and if there are a couple of comments in there that strike a chord with them as an angle they can pursue then it will have succeeded. PS - I know that several hundred Toronto FC supporters have signed it - solidarity indeed, although they are considering starting one to have Colin Samuel's permit revoked :rotflmao:
  9. yeah, dont think we are getting the full package - mentioned something about no studio discussions etc .... will see it on freeview for a few weeks and if it gives me the live SPL games each weekend and the SPL highlights then I am gonna be happy. just need to get the audio side sorted now considering BBC are still forced to black out most games.
  10. Caley Thistle of course ..... and Toronto FC since i now live here. Amazing to have been present at the birth of not one but two teams who have been a breath of fresh air to their respective leagues.
  11. This is mostly for Canada Bob, LuvGravy, Glebeict, Scarlet Pimple and a few others located in Canada ........ SETANTA will finally be coming to Canada on AUGUST 11. It will be on 'freeview' until the end of August and then $14.99 per month after that ......... more details here : http://blog.canoe.ca/remotecontrol and Canadian listings should be available on setanta.com in the next few days.
  12. ......"We had a few words later on. He threw out his elbow so I pushed him and then he started saying to me, 'Come on'. I just shook my head and said, 'I'm not scared of you'. It was nothing too crazy."....... :rotflmao:

The LOGIN/LOGOUT issue is one thing that unfortunately will not go away and happens because we are using two different systems for the site and the forum which were not designed to work together. We have a 'bridge' in place which means you are logged into the site when you login to the forum and vice versa but for some reason it sometimes doesnt log you into everything. The other alternative is to have everything completely separate and that would be worse ! we will continue to look for a solution - but it wont be a quick one !
  14. just clicked the SKY score ticker and this page came up about our former player http://www.skysports.com/football/player/0...0_38975,00.html. Poor Mark, moving to Glasgow may have been good for his wallet, but not for his looks .....
  15. would be a more impressive page if the guy actually had the power of literacy ..... fenyin ???
  16. never said a word :017:

Polls are in the usual place ..... see the match report or the POLL on the right side of the page on the main site. - the early start meant I didnt start my usual matchday thread with links, vbut hopefully normal service resumed next week
  19. This may be what Chick Young was referring to when he said on air that ICT would have to help Rangers identify those singing inappropriate songs today as many of those in the away end did not have their tickets supplied by Rangers. I believie the club could get into deep **** for this practice.
  20. good old intelligent ads - identifies keywords on the page and shows them accordingly .... all this talk of permits etc brings them up and mentions of canada also does that too. - anyhoo, back to the topic ........
  21. I heard that on RS too ..... and from the way that CY was describing it it may not only be Rangers in trouble ..... according to Chick, Rangers "will have to work with ICT to figure out who was using some of the tickets" as many supporters appear to be Inverness based supporters who did not obtain their tickets from Rangers FC !!!!
  22. thanks - fixed it now.
  23. known as the height and scheidt formula i believe :015:
  24. dont think anyone is reading this thread - all the action is in the Niculae one ....... definitely good news, not only a healthy profit but also an undertaking from the chairman to make the experience better for the fans ... two thumbs up :021:
  25. I have a different view ....... I dont think Charlie is looking to get rid of any of them !!!! He is merely making a comment that tells them they need to be performing every week as he has plenty people to replace them if they are not. If any were to be 'moved on' for any reason then some combination of Morgan, McBain, Hart or Vigurs seem the most likely - for different reasons. Black - potentially our best midfielder. not going to get rid unless we get a huge offer Cowie - just signed him so not going anywhere Duncan - under-rated defensive midfielder. cant see him going anywhere Hart - cant see him going unless there is a problem when the police finally report on the rockness incident McBain - another sometimes under-rated player but could be down the pecking order on the left similar to Golly's situation. Morgan - 6 months to prove himself. if anyone, the comment might have been aimed here. Paatelainen - new signing, cant see him going anywhere. Rankin - along with Black, one of our playmakers. not going anywhere. Sutherland - exciting youngster. not going anywhere, even on loan. Vigurs - just promoted from youths, if he goes anywhere it will only be a loan Wilson - too old to go anywhere (sorry Barry). getting testimonial a year early and making subtle hints that he may retire.
