  2. fair play to our defence so far ..... thats twice now that defenders have cleared off the line at set pieces.
  3. Indeed. The first time I met Steve was in the Boardroom at TCS when myself and a couple of others were guests of Tennents for a cup game. We went in after the final whistle and were immediately put at ease when we saw him in the corner downing pints of guinness in about 4 seconds flat ! hope he can win this battle with his demons.
  4. Queen of the South 2-0 up on Livi

  6. and you are still 70 ... not sure where the other 10 came from, but 70 is the number we have set you at. my response is available on private messaging. incidentally, I think C1C3 is the best so far !!!
  7. Berwick at 1.57 please
  8. same team as last week, same tactics of playing it on the deck, and hopefully a performance from Ike that is more like the last 75 of last week than the first 15.
  9. agree with Dalneigh Caley further up the page ... banners would need to be clever rather than offensive to get away with them, chants can be a bit nearer the knuckle ! As Billys predictions are pretty much DUDS I was trying to think of a play on words with DUDS rather than Dodds
  10. My first job was as a paperboy for John Allison in Montague Row .... seems its now a spar shop.
  11. personally, I would be happy to tie up the aforementioned players (including IKE) on long term deals. Those from the area such as Granty and Ike are probably going to be easier to deal with but its equally important to try and sit down and talk with the likes of Black, Cowie, and any other players - such as the young lads - that should be forming the nucleus of our team for a few years to come. At the end of the day, the club can offer what it can offer, we all know that other clubs can offer more if they want to, so we just have to hope that players do receive a decent contract proposal from the club which they think is a realistic wage for what they are doing and sign it. We might lose some players who refuse to sign, but if the club have made them the best offer they can then I wont complain (too much).
  12. Would this be at Art or at Chemistry or both? lol - both really ... average at art, got my o grade chemistry but didnt go for higher. Geography was my subject (took it up as far as CSYS), closely followed by Modern Studies ... guess thats why I have always been interested in human geography, modern political geography, international relations etc.
  13. Yup, thats the fellow. Lived in Fairfield road, has an older brother as I remember (think he was in 5th or 6th year when we were in 1st or 2nd), and his father taught Tech at the High School (and yes, I do believe it was woodwork). He played alongside me in the rugby team and once took a shinty ball full on the nose during PE. There was a competition for schoolkids to design the EC logo and he won it. His passion however was for drawing science fiction and after doing a little googling in the last 10 minutes or so, it appears he is still illustrating at 2000AD
  14. One of my schoolmates - Colin McNeil - designed the logo for the Eastgate Centre whilst still a High School pupil. He went on to become one of the main illustrators for the 2000AD / Judge Dredd books and graphic novels. As far as I know he still does that. Wonder if I still have any old Chemistry jotters ... his teenage artwork would be all over them as we used to doodle during class with me drawing a bit, then him adding to it. My feeble efforts were quite forgettable, but you could see even then that he was a truly gifted artist.
  15. didnt he say that Cervi was a 2 year project in terms of development .... you could be right there then as that would take it up to about Mark Brown's renewal time !
  16. I am still disappointed that we didnt start a chant of "Hugh Watt, Hugh Watt, ..... you what .... you what ..... you what" at the end of the ceremony. That has got to be a fairly appropriate name for a football club chaplain !
  17. Indeed .. another good film and one of many that seemed to pop-up in the early 80s courtesy of Bill forsyth which also included "that sinking feeling", "comfort and joy", "gregory's girl" and "local hero" ..... Thinking of low budget films I enjoyed, it also put me in mind of one from channel 4 called "The Chain" ... a Jack Rosenthal effort about 7 different people moving house and involved in the same chain.
  18. sounds like you were trying to re-register rather than login - thats the only way the system would tell you someone else had that name. Perhaps you could contact site admin with details of the first account and we can help you !!
  19. Dougie Imrie got an extra reward for his man of the match performance at the weekend. Courtesy of Darren at ICTFC (and presumably taken by Peter Paul ?), here are the newlyweds presenting him with the top tier of their wedding cake.
  20. we were lucky with only 1 slipping through the net due to our registration security measures .... other sites have been inundated !
  21. If we could qualify for a European competition that would be a huge achievement, and as and when we got there - and I mean this with no disrespect - we could hardly do worse than the teams outwith the OF that have represented Scotland in the last few years.
  22. hold down the ctrl key and press f5 and it should force a page reload rather than taking it from the cache. to clear cache or change settings, I would suggest you do a google search for clear cache and your browser name and you will find many guides on how to do this.
  23. probably the cache settings on your own computer - we are seeing the new one ... "evil monkey" ?
  24. Dillingers ..... The Tryst .....
  25. Why not just start a blog ! your posts go up in there too !
