  1. Who took us out of the SFL last time we were here?
  2. That's your response to about 50% of posts on here. Why does a post need to be absolutely inspiring for you to even consider taking it on? :D You don't see people posting in your 'Team for Whoever' threads with "Thank You for that inspiring team selection" Oh wait... :D :D Who, in your humble opinion then, could ICT realistically get that would do a better job than Butcher, given the fact that our Board will also have to have their say in things?
  3. I don't, not anymore. I was actually quite keen on bringing Butcher in before and when his name was being touted both before and when Brew was booted out, but now I wish someone else had gotten the job. If Butcher was the man for the job, he'd have kept ICT in the SPL. Did he do that? No. If Butcher was the man for the job, he would've tried to keep the best players, especially the best younger ones that ICT had. Did he do that? No. Vigurs played about 10 minutes during Butcher's first game and then disappeared. Duff seems to be another one who was one for the future and a decent player just now but seems to have disappeared under Butcher. He now has a bad injury and I won't be at all surprised if he's the next one out the door, with this injury possibly being the excuse. If Butcher was the man for the job, he would've made some decent signings. Has he done that? No. If Butcher was the man for the job, he would've offered a very capable player a contract. Did he do that? No. Pavels Mihadjuks was a very capable centre-half from the little I saw of him and was very highly thought of by the fans. He was also a capable player in a position where ICT had desperately needed a capable player in that position, since the departure of Darren Dods. Whether he would've signed it or not is one thing, but not to even offer him one was madness. If Butcher was the man for the job he'd have a proven record at other clubs showing how good he can be. Did/Does he have a capable record? No. Observe - Sunderland - SACKED. Coventry City - SACKED. Motherwell - Finished bottom in his first season, and was only saved by Brockville. He may have finished 6th and 8th in the coming seasons ahead, but would he have kept his job had Falkirk had the capablities to replace Motherwell, the team that should have been relelgated? Perhaps not. Sydney FC - SACKED. Brentford - SACKED. Do you see a pattern arising here? Doesn't even look like a mediocre record to me, rather a pretty poor one. And last and certainy not least, if Butcher was the man for the job he would've gone into the final game of the season, the relegation decider and the most important game in ICT history, playing a simple and steady formation and team selection. Did he do that? No. He played Tokely out of position at centre-half, and played Mihadjuks, a very capable centre-half at right back, a position he had never played before. Utter madness. One things almost certain in my mind now though, and that's that ICT will probably not be in the SPL next season and should that be the case, I highly doubt that Butcher will not be here next season, should ICT not be promoted. Right, so we've lost one competitive game this season and we should be shot of Butcher? You're as bad as those tinks from over the bridge, and they were taking the p!ss.
  4. Cue SPECKY and NoBalls coming on now to claim the tinks are gonna win the league.. I dunno about the rest of your post jaggie.. If we don't get a grip sooner rather than later I can see C*unty finishing ahead of us. Just. Raith will be mid-table.
  5. Don't think Barrowman should start actually. One mistake and the home fans will be on his back, and his confidence will more than likely be shot. Go with Rooney and Sanchez for this one. With Barrowman and Foran starting upfront v Motherwell
  6. Think the main point on a lot of threads atm is that Butcher has brought in a lot of his own signings, and naturally he wants these signings to do well and prove their worth. Most of these signings have done enough to merit a first team slot.. Cox, Hayes, Sanchez, Foran, Bulvitis.. However there are one or 2 strugglers.. Eagle, Stratford. A lot of people are now beginning to lose patience and calling for these 2 to be dropped and inject some old blood into the team. It is only a matter of time before Terry realises this I think, but for the next couple of league games he will persevere with the same starting line up to try and gain some consistency. Partick will be a tough test. Oh and I also believe had we not seen Golly re-signing for us, we would still be seeing Lionel Djebi-Disaster in our starting line up.
  7. :sleep01: DornochCaley will be delighted anyway..
  8. My name is not Fergie you cent. Yes, keep it how it is, keep improving, watch the young lads getting fitter, better and more consistent - and walk the League. We shall see then caller. :sleep01:
  9. From the BBC live text service. Pretty much sums it up.. Same with the Old Filth up here. Wonder what luck Celtic will get in the last 15 minutes v Hearts? :sleep01:
  10. Just happy it isn't the same teams challenging for the title. Football is all about money these days, especially in the Prem, so if they can afford to then why aren't they gonna buy the best players they can?
  11. :sleep01: Still going with this campaign..
  12. Glad to see Fletcher getting 2 goals and MoTM, gutted for City though, was hopin they would pick up a result against them. And that f*dd Owen had to score the winner aswell. :sleep01:
  13. :sleep01: Thought we were gonna start to gel after the last couple of performances, but there is far too much inconsistency amongst us right now. I'd go with: Esson Tokely Bulvitis Munro Golly Eagle* Cox Duncan Hayes Sanchez Rooney/Barrowman Subs: Allison, Proctor, McBain, Rooney/Barrowman, Foran * Eagle should be told he needs to impress in this game or his place is in serious doubt. Duncan comes in for the ineffectual Stratford. Rooney or Barrowman starting upfront because.. 1. Give Foran a much needed boot up the erse to show he is not going to just walk into the team with lacklustre performances. 2. Gives Rooney/Barrowman a chance to impress and show why they should be starting games.
  14. A lot of people seem to agree with you. I, for one, think you are talking fecking bellocks and are a bit of a twot. :) What's your take on it then Fergie? Just keep it the way it is and we'll walk the league?
  15. County have yet to play the 'big' teams like Pars, Partick and Dundee. I think they will come up short when they face them. They beat us but it's fair to say they played well, and we had an off day. I expect a result next time. As for Dundee? The games so far have shown they are far from unbeatable. The same goes for us aswell however. Expect it to be between ourselves, C*unty, Dundee and Pars for the league. If we are to have a chance though, then gaining consistency will most definitely be key for us. Only time will tell...
  16. He's injured.. :007:
  17. :D I'm beatin' ya love, on 60% warning atm..
  18. I agree.. Where's his sister when he needs her?
  19. Why should the fact that he was a great player mean that they'll be successful? From what I gather he's pretty inept at managing. Aye, didn't realise quite how fine they're cutting it if they are to make it there. Not having the best of times under Diego.
  20. You not got marking to do?
  21. Something similar is in hand for the game at the Gypo Dome . :D Enlighten us please? :)
  22. Mind he came on for us one game away to Hibs.. Think he hit the post? Can't mind though. Dunno where he is now.
  23. I like this idea. Not every kid is into football mind. Some like other sports. Some hate sports altogether (though I do think exercise is a must - healthy body healthy mind etc) A national centre of excellence perhaps. A multi million state of the art complex right in the middle of the country. For all sports(well except darts and other pub games perhaps). Think Austrailia, think clair fontaine in France If the Scottish government can spend upwards of ?100m on that hideous building at Hollyrood they can do the same for our sporting heritage. In fact take it a step further. Have it as a academy of sorts. Adopt an american philosophy in which grades are important (in case they dont make it, injuries etc) The kids get schooling and the best coaching. The poorer children getting scolarships if they have ability in a sporting field. Then when the kids are 17 the clubs can come along and draft them for a fixed prepaid fee. Have a random draft draw like the MLS. So say randomly ICT get 1st pick and so on. All contracts would be the same unless a buying club bought out the contract from the drafting team or something along those lines (with a further percentage of that transfer fee going to the academy) Then put me in charge (my idea after all) and pay me a ridiculous sum of money for being the face of the operation. Start it up then lad, the world's your oyster. :cute01:
  24. but are you lot not aberdeen fans in disguise? :cute01: Belter, what is this boy on?
  25. Aw aye, never read that bit.. :cute01: Falkirk in the SPL. Outwith it would probably be Airdrie.
