  1. Would like to see Raven back in the team as we do miss him in both defence and attack, with the link up play between him and Doran being superb at times at the beginning of the season. That said, I think Tremarco was our best player v Celtic and has done superbly well since breaking into the team so doesn't warrant being dropped. Williams has been given a fair bit of game time, yet has been pretty invisible the majority of the time and hasn't shone. I'd move Shinnie forward to left wing and make use of the attacking flair he has. Christie should also get more of a run out coming on in say 60 - 70 mins, IMO. I'd go with: Brill Raven Warren Meekings Tremarco Draper Ross Doran Watkins Shinnie Mckay (EDIT) Just remembered Shinnie played left wing for the majority of the 2nd half v Aberdeen. Evidence if need be that we should play him there tomorrow and look to attack them from the start and get an early goal or 4.
  2. Gutted to hear the news about Mikey. A genuine, good guy who is one of the most dedicated that there's been in terms of following the club. Can understand the clubs stance, but Mike was one of the few people I think would merit this gesture. If a minutes silence/applause isn't put in place for before kick off then another idea could be if anyone knows what age he was, could do a minutes applause and have a chant for him during that minute of the game tomorrow?
  3. When did he sign for Liverpool? If he was registered by Liverpool by then he would not appear on a SFA suspension list as he was registered by the FA. There are other players who had moved on to other clubs and it says beside their suspension (Formerly of Club X) so it should still be detailed in this as it is a list of suspensions.
  4. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/Disciplinary/CurrentSuspensions/Season2009/10/May2010/PlayerSuspensions/LOS45(27May).pdf In the above link go to page 5. This shows that on the 27th May 2010 the SFA recognised that Daniel Wilson had a one match suspension to serve in the League Cup. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/Disciplinary/CurrentSuspensions/Season2010/11/July2010/PlayerSuspensions/LOS01(23-JUL).pdf The next link is from the 23rd July 2010 in which going to page 4, Daniel Wilson no longer appears to be banned for one match in this competition by the SFA. Therefore the SFA have recognised by the 23rd July 2010 that his ban has been served. Today they have stated that it was served in a Liverpool v Arsenal tie on the 14th August of the same year, how can this possibly be the case then if they had already removed the ban prior to this date?! This is not any paper or press talk, these links are taken from the SFA's own website. They now have another question to answer to; I hope the club are seeing this and taking note.
  5. Ferben, that would be brilliant! I did say in the post I'm will to pay a decent amount as well for it (there's good reason behind it) which is why I said in the first post I would buy it. If you could let us know that'd be great, cheers!
  6. Might be a longshot but I'm wondering if anyone has a programme, or knows of where I may be able to buy one, from the game vs St Johnstone when we won the 1st Division for promotion to the SPL first time around? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
  7. Would like to point out and give a thumbs up to how well behaved the stewards were as well. Here are a few quotes from the men in Hi-Viz from Tuesday night. "If you are looking to stand then please stay in the back 6 rows." "Enjoy the football and your evening." "Keep up the singing lads, I've got Caley on my coupon!" "Safe journey home." Excellent stuff, and helped make it a more enjoyable experience.
  8. Was there last night and agree with all the above comments. Negatives: Arbroath didn't really trouble us that much, 0 shots on target for them sums it up. While not having very much to do our defence didn't look overly solid and can't help but feel if Holmes didn't come off injured he may have caused problems (seem to recall a hat-trick at TCS a few years back). And OTJ was taking free kicks for some reason. Pleasing to get a first clean-sheet and win of the season though and hopefully we can build from here. Positives: We did the simple things well. Passed it about and made Arbroath work and created some good openings. Midfield worked well. Billy McKay ran himself into the ground trying to create space, but didn't have too much joy. We could and should have had some more goals but for some fine keeping from Mr Bullock. Shane had as good a game as I've seen from him before, he looked bright and had the confidence to try and take people on. For me it would've been a close call between him and A Shinnie for MOTM, Shinnie's 2 good finishes won us the game though and he just pips him to it. We are in the top seeds for the next round and cannot draw another SPL team, sincerely hope we avoid Sevco though. Tony Bullock was getting the banter with the fans behind the goals in both halves and takes the stick really well and is a good laugh to be fair to him. I had what seemed to be a battered whale and chips after the game and it was very enjoyable.
  9. Agreed with all these points from Renegade. McKay has put in a very good shift in both games against Elgin and Coventry, but he NEEDS support and I think he will grab a few goals this season. Oswell certainly looks like he has the potential to do well for us too. Took his goal well and almost had another but for a great save. All in all a good display today, with some good, passing football being played too. Feeling positive for the season ahead, just hoping we can stay injury free.
  10. We've had a lot nicer tops, it's ok though. Not usually a regular buyer of shirts whenever they come out but will definitely be getting this one at the weekend, more than ever now the club needs our full backing in terms of money and support.
  11. Very sorry to hear about the passing of a fellow fan at today's game. Not the sort of thing you expect at a football match, and such a shame to think that someone has lost possibly a partner, father, brother and friend. Thoughts and condolences go out to all friends and family at this hard time, the result itself pales into insignificance. R.I.P.

  13. Don't think Ross has done anything to merit being dropped, and what good would that do his morale having just scored? Nothing worse for a first team player to be honest. Defence needs a re-shuffling once again, however I don't think dropping Meekings is the solution. By all accounts he had a good game v Celtic away, and again did well yesterday and should start again. While changes should be kept to a minimum for a game like this so as not to disrupt the squad too much, Gnakpa could be more effective as an impact substitute I reckon. I'd go with: Esson Meekings Williams Gillet Shinnie Jones Foran Ross Tansey Hayes McKay Subs: Tuffey, Proctor, Tokely, Piermayr, Gnakpa, Sutherland, Tade The starting line up is strong enough to cause The Queen's XI problems. Jones coming back in after yesterday's performance to strengthen the midfield and hopefully keep Davis quiet, severely limiting their creativity. The Huns defence is very average IMO and with Ross, Tansey and Hayes helping support McKay as much as possible. 2 from Tade/Sutherland/Gnakpa to come on in the 2nd half and take advantage of tired legs. A 3-0 win for ICT (Hayes, Foran and Tade scoring) and Ally McCoist to admit afterwards that he's suffering from Depression, with Kirk Broadfoot appealing to the nation for "Any spare change pal?" in a scene reminiscent of Baron Taylor's St on a gloomy day. Lee McCulloch apologises to the Rangers fans for lying about being a professional footballer and retires to take up a career in cage-fighting.
  14. Not long in from the game, and a fair point to take from a relatively poor game. Neither side played too well despite both having a share of the chances and in the end can't really complain with a point each. We weren't getting going at all really until the much needed introduction of Tudur-Jones and McKay. Gnakpa is not a natural striker and there was little movement at all from him up top which was limiting our attacking options. For what it's worth I thought Shane did alright and looked bright enough in the short time he was upfront before being replaced by McKay. Until we had Tudur-Jones and McKay on the pitch we were playing long ball all the time and just gifting it back to Dunfermline. There was a 10 minute period after half-time where it was so frustrating to watch and even our most creative player in Jonny Hayes got the ball in our half and just hoofed it aimlessly forward at one point. Changes simply had to be made, and credit where it's due, Terry got them spot on. McKay buzzed about creating movement and chances for us upfront with Foran pushing forward to support him, and Tudor-Jones held the midfield superbly well with Tansey. We got the ball down and played some good football pressing the Pars back into their own half. McKay did well to get the ball out to Hayes, who'd made a good run on the left. He fizzed it across goal and Nick was in the right palce to finish it. Well worked goal and I think it's exactly what he needed to get a bit of confidence back after missing a similar chance a couple of weeks back. Hopefully he won't be so hesitant now to have a pop, after the goal v Hibs last season we know he's capable of a good finish. Proctor was poor and shouldn't be near the CB position for us. Whenever he goes in for a tackle in the box my heart is in my mouth convinced he's going to give away a pen. As stated above Gnakpa wasn't effective upfront and was rightly subbed after a poor performance. On the plus side though, good performances from the rest of the team. Hayes, Ross, Foran, Gillet and Tudur-Jones all did well with the latter changing the shape of the game and having a huge influence on the result for us. But MOTM for me would go to Greg Tansey today. Did all the dirty work today in a Russell Duncan-esque performance. Battled for everything, had the head up looking to open up the play and try and create something when he got on the ball and put a good shift in. All in all not a bad result and a decent away trip, onwards and upwards to 3 points against HMRCFC next weekend.
  15. Bittersweet, for me anyway. Hope he does well in the Championship and also Europe.
  16. Munro thoroughly deserved MOTM last night, no nonsense defending and a clinical finish. Seems to score so often against them lot. :) Think the decision to release him may be too premature, he's our best defender IMO and is what ICT are all about. Like this club he has come up through the ranks starting off as a newbie and growing to be an established part of the furniture in the SPL. Grant Munro needs to be signed on or it is a huge mistake. Not just for last nights performance but for what he has done for this club.
  17. Oh well, we all know what happened last time.. Roll on Wednesday. Celtic were staying at the Kingsmills last night and had their team bus parked outside, so that is how they'll have got here and back this time. Hoping they do the same again in midweek.
  18. I shall be in attendace with some Poprocks & Coke.
  19. Good performance in a fixture which we have been beaten in both times already this season.. Glad that Samuel f*cker wasn't in their squad today. Hogg looked immense for us, never shirks a tackle and was looking for a pass out of defence rather than playing hoofball, could be some addition to the team for us. Wouldn't say there was any bad performances in our side. Coxxy looked like he was lacking sharpness early on but played a superb second half. Solid performance from the back 4 and even had Rossco chipping in with a goal from a textbook bullet header. Esson was reliable as ever when called upon. Rooney, Foran and Sutherland did a lot of running for us up top and kept their defence sweating, while Doran had another impressive display too. Duncan chipped in with the goal which probably earned him MOTM after a polished display, but for me there were no standouts.. Just 11 solid performances. Agree with Renegade about the Duberry shout, was fuming with the ref at the time. Surely if you have you're hands raised towards another players face then it's violent conduct? Couldn't believe Pen1s Collum only had a word with him for it. Good performance and brilliant result given the depleted squad we're faced with just now. Next stop, Easter Road.
  20. Unlucky not to get a result last night, but one player I feel gave next to nothing to the team is Foran. His position in the starting line up seems to be untouchable in some peoples opinions but he really is under-performing at the moment, and a kick up the backside to make him realise he needs to work is what is needed I think. If TB can drill this into him on the training ground then fair enough, but if not then I would have him start from the bench against United. Anyone agree? Duncan simply MUST start to shore up our midfield and defensive side of things, no question. Was a better performance from Rooney last night and he was really unlucky not to get a goal. We're f*cked upfront if he goes and noone else comes in before the window closes. This lone striker role is absolutely useless though and simply needs to be scrapped. We were forced to play with it last night, but didn't really get a chance to notice if Sanchez started upfront or was he 'in the hole'? We need someone supporting Rooney upfront though and Sanchez is most likely to put the ball in the net for us just now which is what we're lacking. Esson Proctor Tokely Innes Shinnie Duncan Hayes Duff Ross Sanchez Rooney Subs: Tuffey, Golabek, Cox, Doran, Foran, Odihambo, Sutherland
  21. Nothing here to suggest he's planning booking Blackman, he's most likely getting his incident book out to note down the scorer and time of goal. That said, Jack should've probably been booked for his celebration and there were some other clueeless decisions, but we can't go on simply blaming officials for our poor run of form.
  22. To the loyal fans who go to near enough every game, home or away, or who've been buying season tickets for the last 5 years or more and have spent ridiculous amounts of money on supporting the club through thick and thin. The real fans.
