  1. I know what you mean, Mee, I'm having to content myself with dragging my sorry old *** all the way down to Motherwell just to see Hugh Cornwall (ex-The Stranglers); failed miserably to persuade the old-punkster to come up to mine for a bit of a 'gig'.  :015:

  2. I'm sure you're more than capable, Mee - I just kinda fancy a festival to suit MY own musical tastes, that;s all!  :001:

Jeez, completely missed out on The Stranglers eh...for pete's sake. That's the menopause fur ye, simple things pass ye by completely!!

  3. Why thank you Dmacca - maybe there should be an 'alternative' Rockness (which should really be called Raveness by all accounts) called Popness where good, real bands come and play...show all these young ravers how to enjoy themselves!

Only sorry I missed The Stranglers when they played Oban (or thereabouts) last year, really shoulda made the effort to get to that but didn't.    :009:

  4. .....A guy got home early from work and caught his wife at it with a neighbour.

He pulled the cheating swine from the bed and hauled him out the back and into the garden shed.

He slapped his member in the vice and tightened it until it had a firm grip, dismantled the handle then reached up for an old rusty saw that hung amongst the cobwebs.

The perpetrator screamed, No no your not going to saw it off please!"

"No", replied the avenger, "You are - I'm going to set the shed on fire."

  5. Ritchie, my point about the fireworks being different is that - as far as I'm aware anyway - this display was a first time the Kessock Bridge was used, and was maybe the biggest fireworks display the area has ever had.

Of course the money would've been better spent on a thousand other better causes, everyone accepts that.

  6. Stop moaning and bitching everyone!!   It's over - some people agreed with it and enjoyed it, some people hated it and strongly objected to it - either way your city tried to give the area something different to mark the end of the thing.

I feel sorry for people who try to provide the area with a wee bit colour and excitement (?!) on a dark, depressing winter's night in the Highlands...they were on a hiding to nothing with you lot of moaning minies.
