  1. Assuming we keep the same formation as we did last season... so far, this is our squad and the positions we have covered.

    Goal Keepers

Ryan Esson, Jonny Tuffey, Max Johnson

    Left Back

Stuart Golabek, Roy McBain, Graeme Shinnie

    Right Back

Kevin McCann, David Proctor, Ross Tokely

    Centre Back

Ross Tokely, Grant Munro, Chris Inness

    Centre Mid

Russell Duncan, Lee Cox, Gavin Morrison, David Proctor, Roy McBain

    Attacking Mid

Danny Sanchez, Gil Blumanshtein, Eric Odhiambo

    Wingers

Richie Foran, Jonny Hayes, Gil Blumanshtein, Graeme Shinnie (going by friendlies), Nick Ross, Eric Odhiambo

    Forwards

Adam Rooney, Shane Sutherland, Richie Foran, Eric Odhiambo, Gil Blumanshtein

From reading our preseason reports and interviews in the press, if we were to start the season tomorrow, I'd predict Terry's line up to be something like this:

    Esson

    McCann Tokely Munro Golly

    Proctor Duncan

    Hayes Blumanshtein Foran

    Rooney

maybe changing Cox for either Proctor or McCann

I'd say we look very strong on the wing, in between the sticks and in the centre of the park with plenty of cover and some versatile players, McBain & Proctor, who can fill in at the back and out wide.

    What we need

By the looks of things we are still very short at centre half and maybe a left back who can seriously challenge Golly [take his place in the starting 11]. Butcher has already stated he is out for players to fill those slots but I would be interested to know if another target man is being looked at incase of Rooney getting injured or is Tel happy with the progress of Sutherland.

For centre half, I'd be looking for a young 6ft something, 19-24 year old who can take advantage of the advice provided from our 3 golden oldies. Hopefully our Tel can pull another raw gem out on free transfer from his numerous contacts worldwide.

Left back.. not sure I need to say it again. First name is a shortened version of Robert and Surname is an Island off the west coast... get it?? maybees aye maybees naw

I've only seen Sutherland play once but was impressed with him, perhaps someone who has seem him more often can offer their opinion on whether they think he could deputise for Rooney. Best way of thinking about it(or not), if Rooney was injured tomorrow and crocked for the season (god no... touch wood) do you think Sutherland would be capable of scoring the goals to see us to safety?

IMO if we get these players sorted I will be very confident going into the new season and hope to be looking upwards rather than downwards.

  2. My clicky

still undecided, hopefully looks better up close because don't think that photo's gonna have people running to the shops.

    Link does not work pal

was the same photo as mick posted.. dunno why it's not working though

When I heard it was gonna be based on the rampant lion flag I thought it would have been nicer... maybe if it was red trim instead of blue

think I'll probably be getting the home one instead.

  3. Bugger buying another Errea top. They are pish

true, but because I don't buy a season ticket it's my guarenteed way of getting money into the club.

The Black Errea away top is the only decent, well made, top IMO. All others have been wrong sizes, badly made and poorly designed.

  4. To be fair i dont remember seeing any other club launch new kit yet. I know Hearts won't be available till 12th Aug.

Hearts launched their strip the other day.. infact almost every club in the SPL has. At the very least they have released pictures and started taking orders.

  5. SS have been plugging it big time. All that has been said is "released this summer"

Anyone have an idea of when if kicks off. Im not a mad fan of SS but want my first HD channel

ps Its meant to be sky sports news HD but cant figure out how to edit topic title.

    you'll need a HD box first ...

... the only reason I got the HD sky box and pay an additional ?120 year is because I heard that SSN was going that way. Can't wait to see Stelling, Merson, Le Tisser and whoever else on glorious HD.... happy as Larry, couldn't be happier

  6. called today (Wed), something will be on ICT web site and it will be on sale friday, still not sure of what it looks like, away kit will be same as last season ( just change of sponsor)

apologies if this is already posted

    Nice.

Btw the last time I bought a top I lived in Inverness. Can you order them online anyone?

yeah mate.. just go to official site and then select the shop on side bar although I think there has been problems with it not being updated recently.

Have to say it's about f*cking time and I'm suprised, if they have left it so late to get the strips out, they haven't sorted out some sort of pre-order. They must have known the design for a couple of months, it's either a missed oppertunity or it shows the club has absolutely no faith in Errea.

  7. I think with the team we have an excellent mix of youth and experience and the fact they all have a full season together under their belts (bar new signings). We should be looking at 7th place minimum. What other team last season matched our run outside the old firm. The gap between the spl and first division is not as big as people make out just look at all the splsides put out by first division opposition in the cups.

ffs... minimum? so in your opinion if we finish 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th it will be an unsuccessful season?

  8. lets not turn this into a Munro bashing thread. There are different types of captain, the typical shout-at-anything-that-moves-Roy Keane-esq captain, and there are others that lead by example because of their professionalism on and off the park. Munro might not have been the sort to bark orders at people but no one can say the way he conducts himself is anything but exemplary. As far as representation and promotion of the club Grant did a terrific job and there is not a player a more dedicated to the ICT cause

Munro lead us back to the SPL last season, best example was his goal against QoS which basically clinched the title for us. If anyone was at that game they would have seen how much it meant to the guy.

Hopefully Foran is as good an appointment as we all think he should be but he has a lot to live up to IMO.

  9. think it's excellent tbh. might not be as aestherically pleasing as the last one but definitely more user friendly. Fair play to the canadian and big D
not as aesthetically pleasing ? would be interested to know why ?

I was looking at the site for the first time through my divy computer at work which seemed to squash everything in so don't think that helped but I'm not a fan of the generic arial font in certain bits and when you're posting a message it seems more like data input (same as pie and bovril I know).

Not really worth mentioning.. should have really just gone with "I appreciate the work you have both put in" and left it at that.

  10. Tee hee to Ross County who have spent the last month trying to sign him.

I think he is a good signing. An experienced centre half who has played fairly well wherever he has gone. Whether he is cover or going to be a regular player well then we will wait and see.

The fact that he left St Mirren does not really bother me. For all we know he left becuase Gus McPherson left. Looking at the current set of defenders on their books i'd say he was one of the best.

Keep the new players coming Butch...

    this.

I'm fine with Butcher looking down south for young released players to take a chance on as forwards, wingers and midfielders but in the centre of defence I'm happy we've gone for the only other option available, an old experienced journey man with SPL experience.

If Tokely or Munro were injured tomorrow I'd much prefer having Innes as a replacement than some young player with little or no first team experience.

    Welcome aboard

  11. i might of said this already but i went to the shop last tuesday and they said the new strip would look like this, sorry there is no badge or sponsor as i am not that good at photoshop.

I'd be more than happy with that

  12. Celtc will have played competitive games by the time we play them , it'll be a huge ask to get a result .

all true, but if you were ever going to put some money on ICT this is the game.

    Draw @ 7/2 sticking ?20 on it

Draw first half/ICT win second half = 18/1 sticking ?10 on that

  13. Yip far too confident at the moment and ready to be brought back to earth with a bang. We have an excellent team but anyone that was at the Killie cup game will realise that it wont be a walk over no matter how bad the SPL currently is.

With respect, the Kille game would have been a lot closer if it wasn't for our marauding French left back at the time.

Agree about the walkover part though, no matter how keech the likes of St Mirren are, what with them buying nearly the entire Cowdenbeath team, there won't be any easy games.

True.. but mind they were near the bottom of the league so we will have more difficult games. Hopefully I'm proved wrong though and romp it

  14. I can see what DC's saying tbh... Grant's been captain for a number of seasons and obviously did a grand job last term where we were promoted. I hope that Tel has consent from Munro to make the decision and hopefully he takes it as a positive rather than a negative.

  15. Yip far too confident at the moment and ready to be brought back to earth with a bang. We have an excellent team but anyone that was at the Killie cup game will realise that it wont be a walk over no matter how bad the SPL currently is.

  16. fecking disgrace .

Hopefully Munro takes it well and we see the best of him without the added pressure. As far as captain's go ... I'm sure Foran will be a good leader on and off the park, this was probably one of the conditions on him signing a new contract.

  17. I'll be betting on ICT for the first time in almost 5 years... yet to see the odds but I'll be placing money on Draw half time/ICT full time.

Foran first scorer 1-0 ICT & then I will return back to earth.

Dundee United will never win the league.. they'll do well in Europe this year I fancy but their domestic form will suffer.

  18. I know there is already a Fleetwood thread on the forum but i want to add a thread which is more specific to the central belters who may be going down for the Fleetwood game.....i'm planning on getting the train and then a night in Blackpool afterwards, anyone else from the central belt planning on doing the same?

Me and few boys did this 2 years ago for the Burnley friendly.... Blackpool is a hell hole but we made the best of it, hopefully you manage to do the same. Wildcats is worth a look if it's still open

Too much on at the moment so wont be going down
