  1. As I have highlighted numerous times before..... If ICT were to sign a player under the age of 24 from another club in Scotland then they would have to pay a development fee. Such fees do not exist on cross-border transfers. These fees can vary, but even if it was as little as £25k for each, then 7 young players are going to cost £175k in fees alone....that's about £3365 a week in wages over a year....equivalent to about 10 young players if they're getting £300/£400 per week.....or 3 signings instead of 7. But we ain't even considering any and therefore we are contributing to the death of Scottish football. Are we talking the same deal about out of contract or freed Scottish youngsters ?
  2. OK - lets get to the nitty gritty - surely there must be promising youngsters in Scotland who must have the same potential as the Magnificent Seven ? This latest recruitment drive could be termed to be "racist" in the footballing sense.Sorry but SPL sides should be blooding Scottish yoof in the best interests of the future of Scottish football.
  3. Probably an old Caley fan.
  4. Now I am being serious in stating that this strip shows that the old callings are still having an effect today. The blue fecks up the whole strip. That didnt happen with the last red and black top so why this ?
  5. This is incredible - I have been reliably informed that we have resurrected the careers of Bob Marley, Harry S Truman, Curtis Stigers and Chris Evans - that band could be entertaining and we have the perfect political foil.
  6. Jhesus I am going to have to paint ma feckin face and arms blue for away games.
  7. Do ya mean that Dougal is a "shock jock" ?!! But to be fair his contributions to this thread have been as much to educate and correct rather than to interfere.
  8. Excellent news - await the stats with player profiles BUT this thread can be NOTHING but positives and I can't recall this happening pre merger !!
  9. I would be proud to adorn the knitted version but would have to be pished, kilted, singing and dancing in the North Stand.
  10. Scarlet - low down - very good player and if it was down to football quality I would have him in my team NOW - and I hear that he has matured and he is good banter - and that to me is a positive. But at ICT he was an erse hole and a liability. The waters under the bridge have ebbed and flowed too much to have him back. But look forward to the banter next season.
  11. Should be OK to wear by owd Val Doonican lookalikes
  12. I will chastise the players who told US about their opinion of Rastamouse. I would agree that he found the physical element challenging and he simply wasn't ready for the SPL although he was also stuck out wide too often and probably thought that he was better than he was given some of his greediness and poor passing. If he sets his sights lower in England and muscles up enuff he will turn into a good all- round footballer.
  13. at least they are 50% cheaper than Big Dons.
  14. Caley fan - not another feckin merger wind up !
  15. Because sales is on the first floor and there is no feckin elevator.
  16. Why should Charlie respond - he has his point of view albeit skewed - but it will only serve to drag this worthy thread in to disrepute and potential chaos
  17. I am afraid that Dougal is the target for his defence of historical opinions, events and facts. Caley and Thistle will always be part of the ICT story and there are many who may wish that they are not. At least Dougal follows ICT and did not become a refusenik. He may be a bit of a feckin erse hole but he is tolerable in my humble opinion and experience. Charles is merely a strong believer in his version of the merger and stands his ground like few others. At the end of the day it is mainly banter even if Dougal and I are rarely wrong.
  18. Well lets all give a wave and a 2 figure goodbye.
  19. His wing play was more akin to Colin Hendry playing on the wing !!
  20. Suspect that even in this case wages will be the deciding factor. He was never that well liked anyway and evidently TB realised that in the end.
  21. Good call and some flags on the roof.
  22. I hope that it want an emergency job and the building was submerged in available colours ?
