Let's All Laugh At Celtic
I said when he was first appointed, if he tries to play attacking, open, attractive. flair, nice football he will be crushed. Did noone learn from Paul Le Guen? The SPL is a scrappy, defensive, counter-attacking, hard, physical, ugly league. Clubs do best in Europe by playing that way. Martin O'Neill had players like Hartson, Sutton, Balde, Lennon...players who put their head and foot in, chased and played the Scottish game, not the English game...naive I thought of Mowbray.

Catering Issues at ICT - feedback
Good points. The problem is they macro manage. Everything is "one size fits all" and they have contracts with pie makers, etc, and so on. As we can see, it is an area manager, and he can only supply this and that, and even if he wanted something different, he couldnt, cos his ordering stock sheet is set by the company. Unfortunately, I cannot see what benefit this new contract has given the fans. I assume it is good for the club coffers, else there would be no reason behind it. Could someone tell me who makes the Pars Pie? The runner up of the British Pie comp was Reading and Ipswich... MacDougall and Hastie Butchers Pie, Inverness (Won Best Football Pie 2009 in British Pie Awards)...it is quite ridiculous they aren't supplied at ICT...they cost ?1.20.

Catering Issues at ICT - feedback
Well, firstly, I think it is only fair to say this is a good thing. The club asked for fans opinions/concerns, took them on board, come up with some initiatives, and basically taken up the issue. A good thing! The prices are akin to cinema prices, steep, but not unusual in such an environment, no qualms there. Any lowering or future meal deals are a good thing, but the burger van thing is also a very good idea, and worth praise as Lindleys could have vetoed that. However, seems as if fans with kids may want a bit more understandably. The queues thing, seems ok, but will wait and see if the hawkers thing materialises. I think its a win-win situation personally. Anyway, appreciate Darren's efforts on this one, and hope future dialogue will make ICT one of the best places for half-time hospitality in the SPL next year!! :P

ICT to appeal Niculae decision
I disagree. Kenny has been appointed onto the board IHE. If you read the club website you would have seen the following from the Chairman: "We see Kenny as having a link role between the board and supporters' organisations to further understanding and mutual development." I think that we can expect a lot more communication from now on. It is very clear that the club have come out and said they are going to liaise with the supporters trust and the fans and communicate.

Questions unanswered
Well, I am just wondering if anyone has any updates on these two issues. As the club had a meeting 2 weeks ago having asked for fans opinions to present to Lindley catering I was under the assumption there might have been feedback on this. As Kenny was appointed two weeks ago, I was also led to believe from the clubs official site that this was a link between the board and the fans. IHE: I am sure the answers are forthcoming, yes. As i have said above, the fans have been given every reason to expect more contact, and I am sure it will come. Merely wondering if anyone has a date or idea of when that may be?

Questions unanswered
That's an interesting development. I wonder if anything else has been arranged?

Do we have a real chance ?
Got a fantastic chance. I think that the home form is crucial. Wins at home from now til the end of season will see ICT in the SPL. Surely attendances will rise now given the 5 horse race and big games at home against these teams?
-
How big was Dundee's lead ?
Definitely. I still think it will be us or Dundee on the last day. It's going to be a battle of the bottle...before, during, and after thee game!! :024:

Questions unanswered
Firstly, I think it is astounding how the players, coaches, Terry and Maurice are giving this season their all. Inspirational stuff, and I think everyone is pleased as punch and can't wait for the next game. Can't praise them enough. This topic is for the board and off the field management. February 02nd 2010: Stadium questions asked on forum. Inverness Courier publishes story of sacking announcer. Both related to the question "who owns the stadium" March 12th 2010: Darren has meeting with Lindley's about catering based upon fans opinions. Could Darren, Kenny, or the Supporters Trust, please give us an update on these things and when a statement, preferably a definite answer, can be expected?

Reverend I M Jolly moonlighting.
I wonder where they advertise these positions, seeing as noone ever saw any job advertised for it.

Merged: I BELIEVE.
According to my personal prediction sheet, we wrap up the season with the penultimate game at Ayr if we win. Wee bit of elbow room now. Home form crucial, but the odds on ICT in the SPL must be very short now...
-
Good Old Times
Would have found this funny when i was 12 too.
-
good luck (merged)
According to my predictions, and Billy Dodds would be proud of them no doubt...a defeat wouldn't be the end of the world, so just give it laldy and see what happens. They'll have one eye on the semis so give them a good bashing! Que sera and all that jazz!

Where's the fecking optimism?
That would be an achievement which would surely earn TB a sainthood. Well he'd better get his sunday best out as if we can win the home games, which is very possible, plus grab a couple of away wins at Mordor and Air then draws away to Plastic and Queens then St Terry will be born. I was thinking more along the lines of that if he managed to take the SPL title this season then he would have the first miracle under his belt. Now that is optimistic :) :) :D :D :D yeah, didn't spot that! They might expediate the 16 team league idea before the last game, and give us a rejigged last home game against falkirk, where we send them down and take the SPL crown...it is the SFA after all.... Seriously though, ICT at home should be rocking from here on in.

Where's the fecking optimism?
Just spent 15 mins writing down how i think the top 5 teams results will go. Ended up with the following ICT 68 pts Dundee 65 pts RCounty 62 pts Dunfermline 61 pts QOS 61 pts ICT have enough home games plus two winnable away games (est 7 dropped pts out of 30 possible) Dundee have too many tough away games, they are going to drop many points. (16 out of 33 dropped) RCounty 5 games on the trot with top 5 teams (2 away) plus hibs then away games - out of steam (16 out of 36 dropped) Dunfermline will come on very strong, will help ICT, but too late for them (9 points out of 30 dropped) QOS lots of away games, but will help ICT at home against top 5 (14 out of 36 dropped) ICT lose away to Ross County, draw away to PT, draw away to QOS, but win the rest, taking the SPL title on the last day with a win against Dundee. I believe!

Catering issues at ICT [official]
(Birddog: using words like "in reality" and calling people "lazy"...these are customers not volunteers, they pay money, lots of it, and are on this forum offering ideas...) From the poll it seems price and queues are the main bugbear for 80 people which is not a bad sample. I doubt much will ever happen on price, as that is probably agreed to in contract, and if reduced at ICT would have to be reduced in all other grounds, so it's unfortunate ICT have agreed to such price hikes without reason, and probably too late to fix without ripping up contracts. However, the queues seem to be an area where improvements could be made, and easily. IDEAS: Pie and Drink Runners/ Queue flow barriers/ Supervisor/Queue coordinators to move people from serving area to serving area if one is quiet/ Order takers in queues for drinks/ pre-prepare drinks (hot)/ More experienced staff from Inverness area.

Catering issues at ICT [official]
Revbirdog, glad to see you are the self appointed "voice of the people" and the 80 or so others who voted are merely wasting everyones time... There is clearly an issue with the queues, and has been for many moons. It affects the matchday atmosphere dramatically. Nobody is saying they expect haute cuisine, or rely on their pie as their main meal of the week. What they are saying is that there are people who spend all of half time waiting to get some food/drink and can't. That's unacceptable, by anyones standard.

Thats the last straw now
Wonder if the credit company/club did try to make contact beforehand. If they couldn't reach him then they'd be left with little option but to confiscate it...

Kenny Cameron
Well, I shall wait and see. His intentions may be very honourable, but as you alluded to, it's not solely up to him, which perhaps is the snag here, I will defer to your knowledge here, as I know him not from Eve, but there is very little about the club that gets me excited or hopeful thesedays when talking about the non-playing side, the camel was wheeled off into the sunset a while ago. Still, it is positive, yes, and time will tell if it makes an ounce of difference!

Stadium ownership
By that argument, we should only worry about the stadium if the team are doing badly, or in the off-season...cannot see the logic in any of that. There is no correlation between wanting answers to the security of the club, where shareholders may have been duped, and wanting the team to win/be promoted. Supporting the club includes and extends beyond the pitch...it's possible to do more than one thing at a time! The board, would however, not agree with me on this one...

Kenny Cameron
Until lasting improvements appear i'll keep my sceptical hat on for now. The club have in the past few years failed in so many areas of customer service, it isn't funny. From ejecting supporters wrongly, to ignoring business opportunities such as online ticketing, to refusing information that should be in the public domain, to refuse to interact with fans, to bungling contracts, to costing the club money, to bringing the club into disrepute, to removing volunteers for silly reasons, to failing to consult fans, and worst of all alienating fans. If Mr Cameron can address all these issues, then i'll be impressed...

Catering issues at ICT [official]
IDEA Pie runners. This idea was brought up many moons ago because a lot of the issues were that elderly or those with mobility issues were unable to get any refreshments. This is a serious matter, and although it was brought up in the defunct BB, nothing was ever tried. Pie runners/Bovril/Tea/Coffee runners could be waiting in the wings for 3.45pm and set off around the stadium. This would allow the queues to be reduced, keep people in their seats, increase sales and most importantly, help those with mobility issues.

Stadium ownership
Right, so just forget the stadium...can't do two things at once.

Stadium ownership
Well, I hope it is uppermost in everbody's mind. Lost a lot of respect for the Courier over this, they are quiet pathetic (sic) really and obviously in the pockets of their advertisers. Hope that there is a bandwagon coming I can jump on, else I'll start building one of my own...
