  1. Before the 2nd Div with County he played 50 games, for 7 different clubs and scored 3 goals... At County, in the 2nd division of the SFL, he got 24 out of 33 At ICT, he was more consistent with his entire career, i.e. awful, which is actually, what he is. He will be a sub anyway? May not get the chance to boo him! He is away down the Phil McGuire road
  2. At first i thought you were taking the mick, but infact...Bettingpro website Hills spokesman Graham Sharpe told Bettingpro: "We took a number of bets in branches not a million miles from Villa Park, with one punter asking for, but not getting, a ?500 bet, followed by other requests for three figure bets," "As a cautionary move - and taking into account that Villa were beaten 7-1 last time out - we cut the odds, initially from 66/1 to 20/1 and when that didn't stop the bets, to 7/1. At the same time we have also received enquiries for O'Neill to be the next Liverpool manager." Mark Hughes is the 4/1 favourite to be the next Aston Villa boss with Tony Mowbray available at 7/1 and Steve Coppell at 18/1.
  3. In which case... To Family Ness: You can think it, You can know it, You can see it in Dingwall, But you'll never be able to say ".....". You may say Gitan, or Gitano and Nomad, But you'll never be able to say "....."
  4. To Family Ness: You can knock it, You can rock it, You can come to Inverness, But you'll never find County in the SPL. You may see Caley, or Dundee and Queens, But you'll never see County in the SPL..... To Que sera sera When we were just in 6th place I asked Terry, what will we be Will we be promoted, will we be rich Here's what he said to me. Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be County are Sh&*!, you see Que Sera, Sera 2-4-6-8 Motorway 2-4-6-8 ain't never too late County and Brewster *uckin' it up on the night 3-5-7-9 top of the league on time SPL football coming up with the morning light
  5. Its a lot, no matter where. If we try to look at it from ICTs perspective, i'd imagine its like this... Darren is tasked with maximising matchday revenue, minimising costs and labour. Best way to do this is to outsource catering. Lindleys offer best deal, so ICT takes it. The issues with fans is irrelevant. The only concern is to tick the box, and present the figures to the board. You can see why it's been done this way. Fans complain, ICT has no obligation to respond to these, as it is a specialised market. Some token efforts are made, but within the constraints of the contract, which has already been put into the accounts for 2010/2011 so no chance of reneging now. Its not a futile topic, but it's hardly viva le pie revolution either. At the end of the day, the board want figures, graphs, flowcharts, breaking points, etc, not customer satisfaction surveys. It's just not important. If ICT was a shop, it would have been closed by now, such is its customer care. I'm not meaning to be harsh to any one person, or attacking anyone, it's just the way things are, at 90% of clubs.
  6. Hey....lets not forget how they worded that "Deal"....the price of ?4 is SAVING the fan 90p. So we should be thankfull!! At the end of the day, cinemas/theatres/funparks/trains/airports, etc, all do the same thing. Captive audience, entertainment atmosphere, it's par for the course. Under Lindleys... Things that will happen Burger Van more accessible A bit more supervision on queues Local staff Things that might happen May get "hawkers" to ease congestion Things that will not happen Prices will not go down Glasgow Industrial Estate pies will stay Local Pies will not be offered Noone will ever be 100% happy I still think ICT should be supporting local businesses. After all wasn't ICT helped by Tullochs...surely they should be passing it on?
  7. Murdoch brothers website http://www.murdochbutchers.co.uk/Single-Se...h-Pie-2010.html 0.98p for a pie My Supermarket.co.uk http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/brands/Capri_Sun_In_Tesco.html 12p for 200ml Capri-sun 52p for a Yorkie Total ?1.62 Instead it's a hot dog, a drink and a sweetie for four quid. And that's a meal deal. Santa has arrived early at ICT! (Heather Brooke eat yer hat!)
  8. Frm ScotPrem website Safety Clubs must satisfy the requirements defined in the Stadia Handbook. Seating All SPL clubs must have, by no later than March 31 preceding any season and for the whole of that season, a stadium with no less than 6,000 covered seats for spectators. Winter Protection Clubs must also have adequate winter protection to help prevent postponements. Adequate winter pitch protection is defined as undersoil or underground heating. Not sure about the groundsharing but i think not.
  9. Spot on, Kirishma.... Unfortunately there's a school of thought in the Highlands that Anything that comes from the Central Belt, just has to better than Anything that's on offer here. It is complete and utter bollox.... the converse is much nearer the truth. Indeed. And that is why the "community club" tag doesn't describe ICT. How can businesses in the Highlands expect to survive when they have barriers of entry to local markets? It beggars belief. Thing is, these award-winning local pies cost, what ?1.20-ish according to their sites. There's no excuse for ignoring quality local produce unless your bottom line is cash. That's the case here. I can understand ICT want a return/profits but surely heating pies in ovens and boling hot water could be done locally and with local produce. Edit: Remember: Pars Pies won no awards this year, and got 10th for their sausage roll in the Sausage Roll category. So take that with a pinch of salt, and maybe some Tommy sauce too...
  10. The Area Manager said the pies at ICT were runner ups in the national pie awards 2009. This is true however it is a bit of a mickey mouse award compared to the British Pie Awards. Ironic thing is, this year, the same award they aren't anywhere to be seen on the awards apart from 10th for a sausage roll, while Forres have the best pie! The real awards have McDougall and Hastie as n.o. 1 British Pie Awards 2009 Winners: Clach FC (McDougall and Hastie) Joint Runners-Up: Reading FC, Ipswich FC Scotch Pie Club 2010 Winners: Murdoch Brothers, Forres Runner Up: Bon Bon Cake Shop and Tom Courts Wouldn't it be great to have two types of pie, one from McDougall and Hastie and one from Murdoch Brothers - supporting food from the Highalnds, supporting small Highland businesses. Instead we get pies from an Industrial Estate in Glasgow... verrily, that is the way of the world. Shame though.
  11. Wikipedia has Neil Lennon as caretaker manager Mowbray spent ?10m on Fortune, Fox, Sung Yong, Hooived and prob another ?3m on undisclosed signings, Rasmussen, etc. They are deep in the mire unless those signings start performing...the biscuit tin must be well and truly empty It's great!
  12. I said when he was first appointed, if he tries to play attacking, open, attractive. flair, nice football he will be crushed. Did noone learn from Paul Le Guen? The SPL is a scrappy, defensive, counter-attacking, hard, physical, ugly league. Clubs do best in Europe by playing that way. Martin O'Neill had players like Hartson, Sutton, Balde, Lennon...players who put their head and foot in, chased and played the Scottish game, not the English game...naive I thought of Mowbray.
  13. Good points. The problem is they macro manage. Everything is "one size fits all" and they have contracts with pie makers, etc, and so on. As we can see, it is an area manager, and he can only supply this and that, and even if he wanted something different, he couldnt, cos his ordering stock sheet is set by the company. Unfortunately, I cannot see what benefit this new contract has given the fans. I assume it is good for the club coffers, else there would be no reason behind it. Could someone tell me who makes the Pars Pie? The runner up of the British Pie comp was Reading and Ipswich... MacDougall and Hastie Butchers Pie, Inverness (Won Best Football Pie 2009 in British Pie Awards)...it is quite ridiculous they aren't supplied at ICT...they cost ?1.20.
  14. Well, firstly, I think it is only fair to say this is a good thing. The club asked for fans opinions/concerns, took them on board, come up with some initiatives, and basically taken up the issue. A good thing! The prices are akin to cinema prices, steep, but not unusual in such an environment, no qualms there. Any lowering or future meal deals are a good thing, but the burger van thing is also a very good idea, and worth praise as Lindleys could have vetoed that. However, seems as if fans with kids may want a bit more understandably. The queues thing, seems ok, but will wait and see if the hawkers thing materialises. I think its a win-win situation personally. Anyway, appreciate Darren's efforts on this one, and hope future dialogue will make ICT one of the best places for half-time hospitality in the SPL next year!! :P
  15. I disagree. Kenny has been appointed onto the board IHE. If you read the club website you would have seen the following from the Chairman: "We see Kenny as having a link role between the board and supporters' organisations to further understanding and mutual development." I think that we can expect a lot more communication from now on. It is very clear that the club have come out and said they are going to liaise with the supporters trust and the fans and communicate.
  16. Well, I am just wondering if anyone has any updates on these two issues. As the club had a meeting 2 weeks ago having asked for fans opinions to present to Lindley catering I was under the assumption there might have been feedback on this. As Kenny was appointed two weeks ago, I was also led to believe from the clubs official site that this was a link between the board and the fans. IHE: I am sure the answers are forthcoming, yes. As i have said above, the fans have been given every reason to expect more contact, and I am sure it will come. Merely wondering if anyone has a date or idea of when that may be?
  17. That's an interesting development. I wonder if anything else has been arranged?
  18. Got a fantastic chance. I think that the home form is crucial. Wins at home from now til the end of season will see ICT in the SPL. Surely attendances will rise now given the 5 horse race and big games at home against these teams?
  19. Definitely. I still think it will be us or Dundee on the last day. It's going to be a battle of the bottle...before, during, and after thee game!! :024:
  20. Firstly, I think it is astounding how the players, coaches, Terry and Maurice are giving this season their all. Inspirational stuff, and I think everyone is pleased as punch and can't wait for the next game. Can't praise them enough. This topic is for the board and off the field management. February 02nd 2010: Stadium questions asked on forum. Inverness Courier publishes story of sacking announcer. Both related to the question "who owns the stadium" March 12th 2010: Darren has meeting with Lindley's about catering based upon fans opinions. Could Darren, Kenny, or the Supporters Trust, please give us an update on these things and when a statement, preferably a definite answer, can be expected?
  21. I wonder where they advertise these positions, seeing as noone ever saw any job advertised for it.
  22. According to my personal prediction sheet, we wrap up the season with the penultimate game at Ayr if we win. Wee bit of elbow room now. Home form crucial, but the odds on ICT in the SPL must be very short now...
  23. Would have found this funny when i was 12 too.
  24. To be honest, Leigh's BBC blog is just as funny. His paracraphs are as short as Falkirks odds on going down. He doesnt have much between the ears that one. The spoof blog was excellent, bit hard to read, should change the colours. Good laugh.
  25. According to my predictions, and Billy Dodds would be proud of them no doubt...a defeat wouldn't be the end of the world, so just give it laldy and see what happens. They'll have one eye on the semis so give them a good bashing! Que sera and all that jazz!
