  1. When does it stop being about football and being about something else? B) What does that even mean? Well, it has been suggested to me, that some people enjoy the actual aggression and swearing and abuse giving than the actual football. Now, heaven forbid I would actually say that about anyone here, as that would be completely wrong, of course, but when people see a tirade of abuse and "die" comments, you can see how that person may misconstrue the situation.. That is why I put "in the business sense of the word" in brackets, or are you using selective quotes to make yourself look very PC and whiter than white. You have yet to tel me which Glasweegian team are to play C*unty in the cup final, and as a Scot why is it better to have a "Highland" team who I have viewed as rivals since the inception of the team I support than any other Scottish team who, at best, I feel indifferent about win the cup? Sorry to keep you waiting, hope i didn't ruin your morning hanging on for that. Was referring to the semi-final, as was the topic back then. Is it ok to answer your other question tomorrow...send me a pm if you get impatient I wouldn't be fuused at a RC v Raith game, guess i love an underdog is all. Anyway, can european footie happen at Victoria Park
  2. B) You'd put Demosthenes to shame Smee, or Donald Findlay, im no quite sure.... Anyway, RC will noubt have a huge hangover today, it is possible they will get into europe, now, if they drew, say, atletico madrid to dingwall, wouldn't that be something... edited to add 2nd para

  5. Post it on P&B and im sure you'll get a lot of support from the old-school Old Firm fans aswell. A lot of people aren't actually as enamoured with the actual football as much as they are with creating hate figures to excuse their anger outlet, imho. Anyhoo...if Raith were to get through, how many fans would be at hampden? 20,000 at most? Would be a cracking game RC v Raith though. Dundee Utd voted against ICT getting up so...
  6. County's is bigger as it was a semi-final, and they are now in the Scottish Cup Final. I'm happy for them. It wasa goreat result for ICT at their home turf, but ultimately they get at least a runners-up medal and are 90 mins away from Europe...I'll be hoping for a County win.
  7. ICT paisley, dont try and reason with the unreasonable. There are no "true" fans, or "hardcore" or "diehards"...there's probably a wee old 75 yr old man that has quietly been going to games since before the second world war, yet im sure because he doesn't travel to away games, he is a gloryhunter part-timer in some peoples eyes I supported Caley in the Highland league, and went to a fair few games home and way...big whoopie...im no better or worse than any other fan. Just a fan. Well done County! And yes, good on anyone who is big enough to know the Highlands vs the Glaswegians is worthattending when it doesnt affect ICT one way or the other!
  8. I think the main gudgies at the moment have put a lot of work into this, especially cameraman...who owns the camera? That is a serious bit of equipment to be had...
  9. We have a good record of buying young players who have been with big teams but then released. I'd like to see more of that, though competition is tough. LB, CB, AM, ST
  10. Yeah, i can't say I agree with Charles. Ryanair have exposed how cheap air travel can be, and how much BA etc have been ripping people off. They are changing the sector, and soon airstewards will be on par with waiters. I can't see being cheap as being bad. While supermarkets rip off farmers which i hate, i dont think Ryanair ripping off airports is comparable.
  11. My brother told me of this video, then I saw it on the BBC, which led me to actually watching it. Now most on this forum, just like myself, are under no illusions of war, and how Americans operate in war, but this video shows how americans are treating people as game and enjoying killing people, civilian or otherwise. The video speak for itself. If nobody watches this because they find it disturbing fair enough. But it wasn't leaked out so as not to be watched. It has audio, and is about 10 mins in length and quite harrowing. http://wikileaks.org
  12. BBC Weather Greenock seems to say there is a break between 4pm and 10pm in the rain.
  13. Excellent resource. I love being able to see the highlights. Love it. Thanks to all involved, and well done the club and volunteers for doing this. It is a fantastic thing for the website, and the quality is excellent. (much doffing of cap....)
  14. Most people talking on the subject were aware that DS had put a lot of money into the club, and also was the benefactor, and accepted that and were grateful. Yes, some were less rational but most of these gtf statements i ignore. Anyway, there was no witch hunt overall, unless you want to show me where, apart from the gtf posts, which are nonsense usually. Nobody was right or wrong after this statement, how could they be, there was no info available. The question asked by most was who owns the stadium? We have an answer, later than most would have liked, but the answer is now here, and so fears have been allayed. The answer is the end product, and i'm really appreciative of it
  15. It's poor. It seems that Lindley's aren't committed to providing an acceptable service. The area manager said there would be changes/supervision, etc. Yet understaffing is what actually happens. Why are these people running it? Because they gave ICT the biggest cut. Poor show.
  16. Its ok to use profanities, but you cant categorise people into groups nowadays. Religion, race, nationality, age, etc is a no no. If someone gets called fatty, baldy, or worse, it's ok, but not to use their nationality in a terse manner. Society is evolving, whether we agree or not. "Banter" is now illegal.
  17. Don't agree with that. For well over two years there was no proof who owned the stadium, and nothing ever put into the public domain. Requests for information were ignored, and then supressed. The "hassle" you refer to was i assume not the posts CaleyD made on the forum, (as you could also be accused of creating hassle) but rather how it was used by the club to dismiss a volunteer, and for the Inverness Courier to run the story, with a club spokesman saying Don was dismissed because he was asking questions about who owned the stadium. It's all very well saying there was a lot of fuss over nothing after the announcement, as before you wouldnt be able to, would you?
  18. As much as I am happy to get the information, the fact that it had been over two years in the coming, and towards the end invlved sacking a volunteer and a club spokesman embarassing the name of ICT in the press with a petulant defence, i'm afraid i don't feel ****-a-hoop quite yet. It remains as an example of the insular nature of the club, that instead of releasing this information from the get go, it took years and a silly dismissal of a volunteer to come out. However, it is here now. I am happy it is. I am relieved. But it had better be the start of ICT and all non-playing staff to start working on PR. There is a long way to go before ICT can be called proficient in that realm.
  19. When it was mid-table I said here I wanted him to stay because I put a lot of stock in the charisma and personality of managers - O'Neill, Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho, Pele, so that swayed me, plus Brewster had none of that, and I knew that the players had no inspiration under Brew - they do now!! It's personal for Butcher. Now ICT should be signing up the players asap. I'm a bit worried about that actually. Vultures may circle...
  20. Adams talks about he sending off, the weather, but nothing about the actual result, ICT outclassing them. True managers such as Martin O'Neill would have said something like, "Credit to Inverness.." or "We were beaten by the better side on the day." not Adams though, talking about the weather after the game, as if ICT had nice weather and they didn't....*@?! ....oh, here's a better example than Martin O'Neills... "Ross County had their pride to play for which they did and I thought they really stuck to their guns and stuck to their task for their manager in the second half despite going down to 10 men." A real football man with class.
  21. sorry is the game on the radio? If so where? Argh.....
  22. Talksport saying they've heard it too...from a reliable source? Then that absolute *&@! Stan Collymore says its definitely not true...how'd he know, he's a complete raj
  23. At Walsall: made his debut in a 5?0 defeat to Brentford, gave away a penalty in this game with a bizarre handball At Sheff Wed: made his debut against Sheffield Wednesday, coming on as a substitute in a 2?1 home loss. He walked out on the club after another substitute appearance. At ICT: Took the money, and was rubbish, Butcher saw how bad he was and got rid, and now likes to have a wee cry to the courier At Ross County: Refused a contract extension, before sneaking back in like a rat, to open arms as would be expected, once a "#$% always a &*?! Has had 9 clubs, and i'd dare say 8 were glad to be shot of him...
