  1. You're not wrong. Yes I know but wanted to hedge my bets :thumb04:
  2. I think the man that is the board spoke in the courier this week, in effect shut up fans we have it under control and even if not still shut up
  3. And that's a good thing is it? That's thinking outside the box and I like it a lot, but as you say the board would never go for it. Robbo for me as he's local, knows the set-up, loves the club and I reckon he would come cheaper than anyone else. be agreeable to a reasonable deal. I could be wrong but I dont think its going to happen, Robbo will not be the next ICT manager for all the wrong reasons
  4. I'm not convinced by the conspiracy theorists, I believe that as a businessman he expects to see a return from an investment before he'll put good money after bad. As things stand he is of the opinion that "I'll prove I'm right about brewster by keeping him and giving him money for players in the window". I think it'll backfire and hope he'll back down, but as he is a businessman I'm not so sure he isn't prepared to allow ICT to fall into the SFL again. A big fish in a little pond is more likely to win a cup (Challenge cup) or relive past glories (Promotion). I'm talking myself into the conspiracy camp amn't I? Feck. :D :P You were talking me out it until the end :thumb04: :018: I'm not convinced by the conspiracy theorists, I believe that as a businessman he expects to see a return from an investment before he'll put good money after bad. 5. Sorted. 5th stand what Invernmac fails to realise, in my opinion, although I respect his opinion, is that almost to a man (or women) we are all ICT fans and want to be on here saying how well the club is doing, this is not the case and if he cannot see that changes need to be made then he is seen a very different picture than I and the majority of fans are seeing at present. Have you been on the sherry? Suggest you reread Invermac's post. Yes well the red wine if not sherry , firstly I must apoligise to Invermac,my comments were aimed at CBsblueandredarmy or what ever he/she is called, bloody red wine ,

Johnboy I think Robbo made it clear that he came on to clear up some facts about his training methods at the club. Perhaps if we are lucky enough to have people like Robbo come on the site and we try to push them to far it may not happen again. Sorry 5th Stand you beat me to it

That would be the best possible appointment as far as I'm concerned... but why the end of the season before the re-appointment of Donald? Robbo hasn't been on the site for a few days now.... Has he been gagged? I would hope he has seen the error of his ways. To me it was completely out of order coming on this site when the manager was under pressure. In my opinion both Robbo and Brewster both achieved with Pele's squad and both were found wanting without them. Even if you agree or disagree with Strathman as to Robbo coming on here was a good idea, I would be very surprised if he was gagged and if he was by who??
  8. I'd take a home win. Yes me 2 I've got money on it.... Which way though JB :thumb04:
  9. I'd take a home win. Yes me 2
  10. 5th stand if it was just his plaything I dont think it would be such a worry, I think it is more than just a plaything
  11. Actually, I believe Charlie Christie did bring one in - can remember Graham Bayne mentioning it in the papers. Was that not a "Sports Scientist" who was working with him on personalised training/fitness plans? If not, then I'll happily stand corrected. You are right Don
  12. you are right however there are 2 sides, it is just as easy to dismantle (if fact probably easier) a system than add to it, what we have seen over the last year is the system been dismantled with no evidence of it been rebuilt. Actually, I believe Charlie Christie did bring one in - can remember Graham Bayne mentioning it in the papers. Yes he did, if fact I remember Marius telling me he asked him (the psycholigist), what do you expect at ICT and he replied to win the league, they all looked at him like he was crazy and Marius told me if you dont try to be first you will be last, crazy Romanian
  13. I don't no for sure but here's a number of reasons why ICT MAY be joint bottom with 2 other teams, other than anything to do with the management. One of the poorest financial teams in the SPL (lose players to clubs offering more money) Players from central scotland are more likely to sign for Falkirk etc than ICT due to travelling ICT support is one of the least noisest in the SPL (and when there is noise it's usually negative) ICT have very poor training facilities Last season ICT relased their full time fitness coach from the club ICT don't employ a sport psychologist full time like other clubs The team are in a transitional period of giving youngsters a chance - with time they will improve And remember a couple of defeats and ICT may still be at worst joint bottom with other teams... a couple of wins and then they will have breathing space. On top of the reasons you quote, we have lost Black and Wilson, we might lose Cowie, we have a management team that have lost the dressing room(apparently) we have a board that have lost touch with the fans and the major shareholder that has publicly gone against the supporters trust, apart from the negatives you point out where are the positives
  14. I don't need to apply... their already doing a fine job Of course they are lets hope they keep up the good work
  15. I admire you see you in the SFL, have you ever applied to be on the board of directors at ICT you seem to have all the atributes needed

He wouldnt cost anything, so why not, I agree with a previous post from Scotty give him to the end of the season, in fact I would take it a step further there a some managers on month to month contracts why not try that until the end of the season and if not ok it hasnt worked out and if it does a carrot of a longer contract at the end of the season

Pele, yes that would be a nice thought but it aint gong to happen as reported, a certain shareholder at the club doesnt want Robbo back and as that shareholder, not the Chairman or DOF holds all the power at the club it will not happen.

I suppose that depends on how many offer he has had Pele Anyone else feel this may be the board thinking this may be their "get out of jail free card"??
  19. I must admit that wouldnt have crossed my mind when I first heard the name, good chance the parents thought after the named her oh my god what have we done
  20. In my opinion one has acted in a dignified manner, has responded to the wishes of the fans and hasnt insulted anyone, the other has shown contempt to the fans, accused the other of talking rubbish and encouraging a revolt. I know who in my opinion comes out of this with dignity.

I think he might just take our offer as he will realise there might well be a managerial vacancy (hopefully) coming up.
  22. What the local press have to realise is that if the continue with this blinkered reporting they might well still get their stories from the club but there will be less and less locals buying their paper. Mr Linton take the time to read another thread on this board regarding an article in the times, you might learn something, even how to become a respected journalist.
  23. Great article, interesting to read that Sutherland and Bennett are having daily meetings to find a solution, do they really need a daily meeting to see what just about everyone else can see is the solution.
  24. Caley 100....I have seen that with my very own eyes, its in Nikko, Tochigi, 2 hrs north of Tokyo. Its in the shrine dedicated to Ieyasu Tokugawa, the unifier of feudal Japan in the late 16th,early 17th century. Brewster also uses tactics dating from then too... Back on topic, i am still livid about DS (Tullochs) comments, what did he aim to achieve by stirring remarks like these? I think IHE hit the nail on the head they are worried, never before have they been put under anything like this type of pressure by the fans and Mr Sutherland doesnt like it. I also think the most appalling thing in the whole article is saying the trust were speaking rubbish, Mr Sutherland just because somebody doesnt agree with your opinions it doesnt automatically mean they are talking rubbish.
  25. I agree Kingsmills but it doesnt look like it will even be just 3-4 weeks, he is here for the long term. The Chairman, DOF and the major shareholder for some reason back him.
