I don't agree with that. I don't think St Mirren's squad is any better than ours but they're doing OK with a manager who knows how to get the best out of players of modest ability. However I agree that next season is going to be tough (where have we heard that before?). I think our squad was as good as St Mirren but not anymore, in defence we are poor, midfield which was good will be depleted with the loss of Blackie and perhaps Cowie and upfront we are lacking badly.

While I agree with you I fear it maybe even to late for a new manager to turn it round, we are losing the players that are fit for the SPL and have replaced them in general with players that are not. The club have said we have money to spend but whatever it is I would doubt it would be enough to replace what we have lost and are potentially going to lose. However if at least if we do change the management at least we do have a chance

I dont think it matters a jot what team he puts out, it is clear he had lost the dressing room and his press conferences that continually blame the players rather than himself will not help.

He has worked with these players for 15 months, how did that fact slip his mind when picking the team and tactics today? The tactics are the least of the problems he has tried various formations and none work he has lost the dressing room and when that happens it doesnt matter what team or formation you put out they will still not get results.

Its just pleasing to know it wasnt your fault again Craig, I mean any fool would know its not your job to work on marking or things like that in training, eventually everyone will realise you are a tactical genius its just the players that arent good enough.

For me the blame goes much further than Brewster now, we have seen for months that he can't manage the team yet those in charge have left him there, and even better than that promised him more cash to spend, they are every bit as guilty

Blackie will definetly be leaving its just a case of where, Hearts are the favourites but he has not signed for them yet Well he can't sign for them until his contract is up. He as agreed in principle to join them when his contract ends though. Pre contract agreement to you and me. The only way he will be leaving for Hearts before the end of the season is if we accept an offer for him. He will be playing his football for Hearts next season though. No doubts about that. Yes I understand that what I am saying is that it might not be hearts he is going to

I dont know how accurate it is but a posting on Pie and Bovril said the Black was interviewed on Radio Highland by Charles Bannerman and he said that ICT should be giving more consideration to players coming out of contract instead of concentrating in bringing players in during the january transfer window.

The only part I would disagree with is even if we do get 100k for black you think that is a good piece of business???

I have no idea what the final figure will be but if I was a betting man I would say it would be closer the 50k than 100k, hope I am wrong though. One thing that is sure is whatever figure it is will not be nearly enough to buy an adequate replacement.

What is there to hmmm about? Unless I am missing something Black can play for ICT for the rest of the season as it's only a pre contract he has signed. Like Zluska (sp.?) at United and his move to Celtic. RIG you are right, and it is a fact Blackie is struggling to be fit

If we even get 100k that is what is been asked, I would hazard a guess that we are not in the best of postion to negotiate this, Hearts or whoever he signs for will know it is not in our interest to keep a player whos mind is eleswhere and that whatever we get will be better than nothing in the summer
