  1. I spoke to him a few weeks ago and there is no doubt he has total respect for Butcher. Basically without going into specifics I was content from what was said that he would be happy to stay if his wages were doubled. He is content here but ultimately the doubt is the board would have to break their wage structure to keep him here. I'm aware of Niculae and the money he was on but that wasn't coming directly from the board and this is a completely different scenario. The pre contract is not legally binding and can be binned. Us staying up, and Butch staying will dictate what happens with the wee man but if he does go he will have my best wishes as he has played a major factor in us still being alive and kicking. end of....
  2. I was told the same last night by his mate. Well deserved in my opinion
  3. From all accounts Midden are missing up to 10 players now through injury so teletext is saying so hopefully a few players will be there that have not been platying regularly. We have been playing a fairly consistent line up so hopefully that all goes in our favour.
  4. I ended up in there with another 3, two of which were wearing scarfs. We just walked in and and got served no bother once we realised they have a queueing system at the bar. Don't know what it is about Aberdeen though but every bar we were in smells of damp.
  5. I reckon it would do no harm to let the kids in for free again. They are our future supporters after all. Boosted the crowd last time they did it. Don't think that would upset any season ticket holders.
  6. Regardless of wether its indoors or out its still something to look forward to for those who like a kick about. Sooner the better...
  7. Feck me. Two clean sheets and a few goals. Thats a stat and a half. Not like us. Hopefully maintain our 100% record!!
  8. :thumb04: Not heard that for a while but aye. Few beers will be had. That trip to the Livi game all those years ago was obviously enough for you to see the light. See you on the train....
  9. Bout time. Inverness has been crying out for this sort of facility for years. I applaude whoever is behind it.
  10. Theres no doubt we are still right in the thick of it but at least we are winning games. Take away the dissapointment of the home game against well and away to Falkirk and our form is tremendous. The 2 we lost that I mentioned both included getting players sent off so all in all I think we are more than capable of staying up. The more points we can take before the split the better as well as was previously mentioned, Its going to be a dogfight so the further we get clear the happier I'll be. 4 out of 6 points would be handy.... As for who goes down? I hate Falkirk the most but there good enough to avoid it which grates me to admit. Probably Killy rather than the Midden as Killy have forgotton how to win. Beats the usual boring end to the season we normally have though :thumb04: :018:
  11. aye I'm going to this one on the early train I think joining up with Zoid, DornochJaggie and one other. Always a good atmosphere down in seagull cuntry. The more the better. Another couple of wins should make us safe and we know how to beat them now....
  12. I agree. Blackie is still very much an ICT player and not away anywhere till the end of the season. Sounds like a hun in disguise. Blackie has probably ensured our survival so will have legendry status if that indeed proves to be the case. With a bit of luck he will also score the goal that helps us qualify for Europe via the Scottish cup.... starting tomorrow hopefully Oh and mbvmorning. get over yourself. Your not even being constructive.
  13. Think its merited now. 4 clean sheets in 6 games now. Fantastic.
  14. Thats a massive result. They don't come much better.
  15. Quality. Saw that years ago on some sports programme. Cant remember where though.
  16. I'm one of those that occasionaly feels guilty when the emotion gets the better of me but not on Sunday. To be fair I had a couple of drams prior to the game. I sit about 6 rows behind the away dug out and its great for abusing the away management. Have to say that Pendrie **** got most of my venom. I was delighted early on however when I first heard the Tic scum singing Terry Butcher is a ........ and I shouted as loud as I could F**k off Celtic. I expected the tumbleweeds but instead an elderly gentleman in front of me turned and said My sentiments exactly!! It brought a smile to my face... Its the best Ive heard it in the main stand for a long time and I hope it improves. I do have kids near me but its a game full of emotion and swearing is part and parcel of it in my opinion and I do try to limit it. I don't know do we still have a family section? Anyway it was nice to see a bit of atmosphere as its been like a morgue all season. Hears hoping for plenty more...
  17. Happy its sorted at last. I would'nt expect a quick announcement on the ICT website. Its Sentanta he was working for so they were bound to get the exlusive. Massive game now v the Tic. Bring it on.....
  18. Sportscene just confirmed Butcher has been offered the job with Malpas as assistant. Just hope its sorted one way or another so we can move on. I rate Butcher. Got to get behind him if he accepts.
  19. I found that I had a lot of draws the first season as well which I felt was a bit unrealistic as I tended to take the lead and then lose a late equaliser. Scraped 6th in the end. I play an attacking 442 so it helps if you can get right and left sided midfielders with pace and good crossing ability. For goals there is no doubt the higher the composure rating the better. You definitely get a better return. Pace and high heading ratings are an advantage as well. I have found that foreign players take more time to settle but if they have the stats then it is worth perservering. Of note in my game is that Ian Vigurs turns into a Scottish International and you will struggle to keep him as I had a host of premiership clubs after him. Cowie did well for me as well. Takes a great freekick(which I've yet to see in real life!!). Michael Fraser is pretty solid in goals as well. Barrowman eventually started banging them in for me but was a bit injury prone and then he got greedy but I sold him for 2.5 million so it wasn't all bad. If you decide to sell a player and there is interest from bigger clubs offer them at over inflated prices and you will be surprised at the silly money that is offered. Just drop your asking price slowlyif there is no interest and you will eventually get a bite. I always try and get sell on clauses for younger players as well as you end up getting more money for them in later years if they are good. Thats where a good scout finding young talent in the premiership helps as the value of younger players soar as they mature and hopefully shine in your first team. Picked up some great young players from the likes of West Ham, Blackburn, Newcastle. I have the french and english top leagues playing in the background and because of this ther is a lot of good young french players about as well. Look for their potential rating from the scout. If its a definite purchase you will generally want the player. It helps to filter out unrealistic targets as well. Patience is a virtue though......
  20. I'm sadly addicted and have just finished the 2016 season succesfully defending the scottish cup. Even got to the semi final of the Euro cup the season before. Only managed 3rd in the league though so the elusive champions league spot is the problem. A wee hint. I hired Ewan White who was a scout at Motherwell. He has good ratings for player potential and ability. He has found me some cracking young players in the english leagues and in Europe. I keep taking in young players with great potential from England on Bosmans. If you do this they eventually want to go south again but Ive made vast amounts of money selling them and now have a 20000 capacity at the Tulloch stadium and about 20 mil in the bank with a 240 grand a week wage budget. A lot of the players are happy to stay now because of the teams stature in Europe. Its not the ideal way to do it but ICT are now ranked 39th in Europe and i feel Champions league glory is in my grasp in the next 2 or 3 years!! I did say I was addicted but the 3d game viewing is streets ahead of old versions. A few tweaks are required to improve the consistency and realism if I'm going to be critical but really if you love your footi and want to go places with ICT then this is the game for you..... PS. tried a few formations but 442 is the one I have found suits best for ICT.
  21. Archie Knox would be a major coup for ICT, no doubt about it. I'm impressed with the quality of names being banded about other than I could not cope with Ian MaColl. Never liked him. And I have memories of him being less than savoury towards ICT when he was at Falkirk, not to mention his s**t football commentary(not relevant for management I know but he must never come to ICT!). If we could get/persuade Knox then its got to be the way forward even if his wages are higher because balanced against the cost of relegation its a no brainer. I'm inclined to suspect though that money will be an issue for the board so if that was the case then Robbo is the man. Could the pair work together? Maybe asking a bit much there but the sooner the better as the transfer window is closed soon. Confident Knox could find us a decent striker to see us through and if all else fails Robbo can get the shorts on score a few Im sure
  22. The team went even further downhill when he came back. total c**k. Good Riddance.
  23. I'm sticking with Robbo. I'm delighted to see Bobby Williamson is bottom of that betting list. I almost had a heart attack when I heard he might be in the frame.
